Been here a few times for meetings and events. Really like the entrance and the decor. Big and spacious and their open bar space is a nice place to sit n have a few drinks. The staff is kind and helpful. (Be sure to not mistake it for 'The Orchards' which is the Counselling Services for the University)

Outstanding hotel with the highest standards. The staff are pleasant and very helpful, exceptional rooms and a lovely lobby, check-in and restaurant area. There's plenty of parking and the location is very central. Staying at at least twice a week, this has been the best hotel experience I can remember. The biggest breakfast has a very large selection and all the food was of the highest quality. This hotel is highly recommended, 10/10. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Had a very pleasant stay here recently with my 8 y/o. She was given a colouring book, crayons and chocolates at check-in which were most appreciated. The room was clean and a lot bigger than I had expected it to be. The only notable things to improve our experience would have been a mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was nice but also lacking in cooked vegan options. Overall it was a positive experience and we would stay again if in the local area.

The room was very dusty, I was able to write my initial in the wardrobe. Large dust/cobwebs in dining room. Staff were pleasant and polite mostly. But I took guests elsewhere to eat on second night. We did receive a refund for part of our visit, but I felt the standard was below where it should have been. Not likely to return even though the location is ideal for visiting family.

We booked here for our daughter’s graduation the rooms were fine and the housekeeping staff were very helpful. Cannot say the same for the restaurant. We booked an evening meal to celebrate. Having checked the menu on line and then on arrival added another person to our party. Sadly at no time did anyone bother to mention they had decided to abandon the evening meal menu for the week. So we were presented with their second rate lunch time menu to choose from. It was too late in the evening for us to find another restaurant. The soup was like a bowl of hot water - no flavour even with a load of pepper added. The mains were a little less than average and we didn’t bother with dessert. Although hats off to Dessert Haven in Beeston, we moved on to there and they saved the evening with amazing desserts. Please save your money don’t go into the restaurant.

A lovely hotel on the University campus. Very clean, and welcoming. Hotel staff are warm and professional. The grounds are well looked after and there's small works of art dotted around the place. These make great talking points. Rooms - our room had a nature theme and was very relaxing. The bath was amazing. You can really stretch out and relax. Breakfast was excellent and great value. We booked in 2 additional guests and they really enjoyed the food. It was nice to see the fresh honeycomb and try some. Overall a fantastic stay, and one we will repeat again.

The hotel was spotless and well appointed. Great facilities for business travel. Green surroundings. Super comfy bed and good pillows, and enough of them! The staff were attentive and kind, the restaurant food great. I felt very well looked after. Thank you!

Excellent customer service and now my go to hotel in Nottingham. They arranged a room close to the lifts for me and my son as he was on crutches after an op. The team there were very supportive and helpful. The bar staff delightful and breakfast was very tasty. Room was clean with all we needed

Overnight stay for work. Good price. Great hotel and parking is spot on. Clean and tidy hotel. Comfy beds. Reception staff were wonderful. Food in the hotel was alright. Not outstanding but had good flavours. Some dishes they were a bit over zealous on the olive oil to say the least. But gave us a free dessert to compensate. Young staff in restaurant could maybe have done with a bit more training/practice Overall I would thoroughly recommend it and I will be back as the location is great for work

Good and efficient hotel restaurant and bar, ready to cater of individual needs. I must mention your staff in black suite and tie on the morning of 03 June. We just needed a typical Italian breakfast just a coffee and a croissant, this gentleman arranged it for us, I understand it was not normal.

This was my second stay at the hotel I enjoyed the first, the second was even better. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, good bathroom and very quiet. And breakfast was delicious, much improved from my previous stay. The service was friendly and helpful Overall excellent value for money and I would recommend the hotel highly.

Lovely rooms, exceptionally comfortable beds. Generously proportioned and well equipped. Staff helpful and efficient. Great location if you're doing anything at the conference centre as its a 2 minute walk away (basically next door). Bar is very expensive!

Check in took 20 minutes yet we were the only guest checking in! The reception staff were polite and welcoming. The room was comfortable clean and tidy however the coffee maker turned out to be a kettle with instant coffee. Disappointing. The shower pressure was exceptionally low and had to stand close to the wall to get wet. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection on offer The bar prices are pretty steep at circa £7 for a beer Our sandwich lunch order came with a different filling to that ordered. If you have dogs be prepared to be charged £30 per dog per night which is triple that in a similar standard London hotel.

The reception process was good, the room spotlessly clean, very comfortable and quiet. The shower was easy to use and spacious. The bar prices were quite excessive and while the staff were pleasant it was clear that they were inexperienced. We ate in the restaurant in the evening but found the menu to be extremely limited and very basic (pizzas, fish and chips etc). The service however was very good and our waitress very pleasant. The breakfast was a huge contrast. It had an excellent range of items, was well cooked and well presented. All in all a very good breakfast. We would certainly stay again but would find somewhere else for an evening meal.

Quiet, serene with a calming nature view and an excellent service delivery. Will definitely recommend. Not sure they had orthopedic mattress for people who don't like spring bed though, woke up with a backache.

I would've rated a 5 but the room warmth let it down. We did mention on check out and the receptionist did say we should have asked. We had friends staying too, their room also lacked warmth. Such a shame as the room was clean, large and the bed very comfortable. The staff very helpful and friendly and the breakfast excellent. Lovely grounds and very quiet, ideal for a summer stay. I would return.

I've had this gorgeous hotel's lovely breakfasts countless times in the past. Decided to celebrate my mother's birthday with dinner. Let me tell you that the staff where amazing and the food delicious! Service was surprisingly quick! The service was top notch with great options for people with different dietary requirements. They seem very conscious of people with allergies. A+ The hotel grounds are the cherry on top. Lovely location. Very relaxing. Thanks to Martin, Denzil and especially Cloe who made our evening!

Had a very pleasant stay at The Orchard Hotel. From the moment of arrival, the reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful in allowing me to leave luggage in a safe place before check-in later. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced. Also, the food was excellent, especially the evening meal (reasonably priced) of sweet pea curry and the chocolate dessert. Wide and delicious range of breakfast options available. I would like to say a special thanks to Gianluca who was so kind and went above and beyond to help and even showed me to the room.

In the heart of the university campus. So a good location for a meeting and lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was basic, mostly sandwiches and pizza. Foyer was spacious and quiet with plenty of seating to have a meeting before lunch

Our stay at the Orchard Hotel surpassed our expectations. We have a fully electric car and were pleased to be able to charge over night at the Hotel. The superior room was very comfortable and a good size for storing the wedding dress for a couple of days. Maybe more long wardrobe space would be useful, but the post with pegs for hanging long garments was quite adequate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We requested the executive lounge for the morning of the wedding and we needed it from 7am as there were a number of bridesmaids as well as the mothers to do make-up and hair. The chef arranged platters of food to be brought up to the room, and when the coffee machine was not working, Nigel, the manager of the restaurant personally brought jugs of coffee for us. The David Ross sports centre is excellent and we appreciated our complimentary membership with the stay. I can recommend the swimming pool. All in all an excellent experience.

Absolutely AMAZING stay at the Orchard Hotel on Nottingham campus! We experienced amazing customer service, the rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was 5*! It has an amazing gym facility that you can use just a short walk away and has lots of space in the hotel for a quiet drink or to get work done. Highly recommend! Thank you to the gentleman who checked us in on the evening on 21st October, please pass on our appreciation!

The room was clean and nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. The added touch of an iron and ironing board in the room made life easier. The shower could have been a bit better - it wasn't possible to angle the shower head at all, and the extractor fan didn't work - but minor things overall. The breakfast was great - proper sausages and nice to have black pudding included in the buffet. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel. Very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The bistro is nice had sirloin steak which was perfectly cooked if a little steep at £25. Also had pizza which was a little disappointing for the £18 price, would have been ok for £10. Would stay there again but would probably look for other places to eat.

Really lovely hotel. Feels very upmarket and luxurious. The rooms are a lovely size and the breakfast was tasty- with vegan sausages provided for us upon request. Location is a little way out of town, costing from £7-£15 for an uber depending on demand. Friendly staff and the rooms were super clean. Our second time visiting and we will be back to stay again.

Went for a meal here with my family and it was a wonderful experience. Staff were really nice and helped cleared our plates to for the buffet that was there. Great selection of starters and mains and for £25 each person. Nice settings and happy energy. Thank you so much <3

Really nice hotel, spacious rooms and public areas, lovely location within the University campus. Nice food too in the restaurant and bar. Great to see EV charging in the car park and it's well used too with all 4 in use on my second night (2 Tesla, 2 Universal) hopefully they'll look to add more charges to keep pace with progress.

Lovely and clean hotel near some nice walking paths with a fantastic breakfast. A few pieces of feedback: the "complimentary drink" is per room and is NOT complimentary, despite your welcome letter. And the gym in the dungeon has multiple broken pieces of equipment.

I would like a mirror with decent lighting. The one inside the wardrobe was good for being able to get close enough to see to put on make up(without glasses), but lighting not good. The mirror in the bathroom was well lit, but I could not get close enough to see. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay and were well looked after.

Whilst the Orchard Hotel is an excellent hotel and an ideal venue, the absence of a mini fridge if you are staying more than a couple if days is a real reason NOT to book and to spend often less with IHG or Hilton. In a quality hotel a mini fridge is a minimum requirement. This is more relevant now the weather is getting better.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very spacious and clean with great comfortable bed. £12+ for a Whisky ( Small 25ml English measure at that) was just ridiculous price, but breakfast was value for money with quality ingredients and options.

Rooms were convenient and spacious, staff were friendly. Guests of the hotel can use the university sports facilities located across the street. Reason for the 3 stars is the food on offer at the hotel. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and I think it was the worst food I have ever had. It really just tasted if nothing. Won’t be eating there again.

Stayed for a conference and impressed by the size and quality of the roooms for a "conference hotel". Much better than most hotels - conference or otherwise. The welcome, efficient and friendly, was good. Parking excellent. Breakfast was very good - and I am always anxious about the quality - and the layout as a vegetarian. No problems, except, of course, the inevitable battle with the toaster which was set to "hint of warmth". I adjusted it. All staff were friendly from the manager (?) down. Impressive design inside and out too.

Hotel is located inside the campus of University of Nottingham. Very quite rooms. Front desk staff made mistake on the payment. There's no slippers in the room. We called for the supply and house keeping staff got us 1 pair only. I asked for 1 more pair and the staff said that was the only pair she could find. How ridiculous! House keeping came up for clean up, rubbish bin in room was open for removing the plastic bag, but the bin was left open, with the lid sitting beside it. The removed plastic bag was end up found in the counter top in bathroom.

Absolutely appalled with a recent stay in this hotel. Never, ever again! We booked 2 twin rooms and were given double rooms at completely different rates! Extremely bad value for money. Rooms were bland and utilitarian. Beds and bedding were substandard. The service in the restaurant was absolutely dreadful, we waited over an hour and a half for food that arrived cold and un-edible! My daughter ate some of a rather disgusting looking chicken burger that she had ordered and spend most of the evening afterwards throwing up. Drinks took over half an hour to arrive, we were over-changed and the hotel took three attempts to correct our bill. Restaurant Manager took very little responsibility for our issues, choosing to delegate to a poor waitress, who we quite frankly the only good thing about this hotel!

Lovely hotel, great venue, beautiful reception area, decent restaurant and service. Enormous and really comfortable bed. But, and it's a huge BUT, I would never go back because of the banging doors all through the night. I got about 2 hours sleep. All of the bedroom doors have really fierce springs and they don't close quietly. They bang really loudly and echo along the whole corridor. I understand that the doors need to be fire rated but you need to sort this out. Worst night's sleep I've had in a hotel ever. Very disappointed

Here for all the wrong reasons, to attend a funeral. Nevertheless, the hotel was very much to hand for the day's events and both the room and service were up to standard. The breakfast in the morning was very much appreciated and there was certainly a good selection for all palates. The staff were always on hand and very friendly and attentive. If I had to be picky the shower wasn't very powerful, but the water was sufficiently hot and that's all it need be. Based on Nottingham University campus, no doubt very handy for visiting academics and families.

The layout of the reception area is very welcoming, my room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and I used the restaurant for my evening meal, the food was good as was the service. A glass of wine from the bar was very good, albeit a bit expensive, but it is at all hotels. Overall a really good experience, very comfortable and relaxing, good food and friendly, helpful staff. The car parking was good and the hotel felt safe and secure. Best regards Pete Thompson

Waiting for everything. More than 10min at a queue for the check in. Another 15min waiting just to double check if there was any meeting room available. Another dozen minutes waiting for an hairdryer (the hairdryers actually don't work properly also the second one was turning off after a couple of seconds). All together was just too much specially when you're just looking for a good night of sleep after an intense day of work.

Bit of an unusual one being situated in the University campus. But once into your room very nice comfortable stay. Due to its location its very peaceful and you can truly relax.

I was only booked in for one night into an accessible room. The front desk staff were very helpful and did their utmost to ensure that I was in a room were I could easily move around in my wheelchair. Aware that I would not be able to get to the restaurant for breakfast without assistance, they even arranged for my breakfast to be delivered to my room the next morning. Bigger chain hotel brands should take notice here! It was refreshing to find staff who were sincere, helpful and not put out by having to deal with a customer that required a little bit more! The room was fine and comfortable. The heating system is very good and easy to operate. The only thing I wish the Orchard would install in the room is a small refrigerator but otherwise I had no complaints. The hotel is within the grounds of the University of Nottingham and on the day I arrived (last Wednesday), it was a beautiful sunny day and I sat outside in my wheelchair enjoying the weather and lovely location! The foyer is a good place to meet people and have drinks at the bar. I will be using the Orchard again in the future and I recommend it without hesitation.
