We are so pleased that we picked The Nottingham Belfry as the venue for our Marriage not only a great location but also the perfect setting. The final part of the organising was picked up by Charlotte, who we feel was dropped in the deep end following the pandemic, but she was fantastic in arranging all the final details. On the day Ben coordinated the proceedings magnificently, what a legend, he guided us through every step of our Wedding Day effortlessly and nothing was too much trouble totally lifting the weight off of our shoulders and giving us the opportunity to enjoy our day to the full extent. Infant all of the staff were brilliant but that extra appreciation has to go to Ben and Charlotte. The Wedding Breakfast was excellent, several of our guests commented on how nice the food was as was the evening buffet. The Bridal suite was perfect as was the other rooms that some of our guests used. Even though The Nottingham Belfry Hotel is only a few miles from home we are already taking of staying for our first Anniversary next June. Thank you once again for your excellent hospitality and playing a huge part in making our Wedding Day Perfect. Best wishes to all from Tracey and Sean

First time of going to the Belfry (delta hotels) looks really nice and a up market hotel. Haven't stayed in a room but if the other areas are anything to go on they must be fabulous, reception, bar and function rooms are really well kept, warm and welcoming pricey at the bar but I suppose it was to be expected.

It is a stylish hotel but is a bit weird. Stayed on business and some of the clientele were not holiday makers or business which did make you feel a little uncomfortable at times and definitely ensured you locked your doors. The staff are on the whole incredibly helpful especially the breakfast and lunch lady. Some areas could do with updating, single beds pushed together aren't really great.

I spent 5 nights at the hotel. The interior is fine, nice staff at the reception. The restaurant was a real bummer - the service is really really bad, restaurant does not allow orders after 9:30 pm even though they close at 10 pm. Even ice cream couldn’t be ordered despite free dinner :( Bar staff was really unfriendly. Quality of food/restaurant is very questionable. No chicken wings for the entire stay. Could I have brought a frozen pack from Aldi right beside to have them prepared? I leave the hotel with a very bad impression and a question

Room was very nice apart from the spoon and cup being unwashed and the bin still half full , also tho toilet seat would not stay up ! Did not let it spoil my stay . Upon returning home 150 miles away and realising I had left my suit in the wardrobe (my own fault i know) I contacted the hotel to be told I would have to pop in and get it within the next couple of months as they don't send items to customers .

The hotel was very clean and had good amenities in the room. The staff working in the resturant had very good customer service approach. Though the had a wedding and seemed to be under pressure were reassured and well served the manager Jimmy was exceptionally brilliant. Excellent customer service and addressed any issues professional. Will definitely come back. Resturant staff I give 110/100

Not a happy experience here! Although clean, the bed bases were old/broken and uncomfortable, though the housekeepers were fantastic, helpful and friendly. I was attending a conference, starting at 5 pm so ordered and paid for food at the bar just before 4 pm! by 4.30 pm, no food and another customer who had ordered 20 minutes after I was, was served her food! So I queried what was happening, the bar person I ordered with, had left at 4 pm, not put through my order but had taken payment and I had to prove that I had paid and ordered! By this time it was too late to have any food and attend my (paid-for) conference!!! I was livid!! I insisted that I had a refund and for the kitchen to remain open after 9 pm to get something to eat after the conference! I had travelled over 230 miles to this hotel and couldn't get a meal when arriving!!! The following morning, breakfast was a farce, with no clean cups or glasses for drinks, and no replenishing of bread or orange juice so had to go without!! The cooked breakfast buffet was a joke, with only one server bringing one tray of hot food every 5 minutes, it took 20 minutes to get a plate of food, which was then cold by the time it came to eating!!! Considering the cost of the stay, and the additional cost of breakfast! I will not be staying here again!!! I wish I had stuck with my usual hotel, Premier Inn!!

Great hotel. Second stay. Better than first. Swimming pool and spa on site, which is so relaxing. The staff are very friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was quite good. The food was hot and the coffee was really good. Drinks are reasonably priced too.

The service was poor in general. Upon checking in there was minimal instruction given and we weren't given the details regarding breakfast. Our room wasn't cleaned during our stay and I had to ask 3 times for a replacement remote control and toilet roll. The breakfast was mediocre but the lady at the breakfast area was very nice. The cleanliness of the hotel was below par and the corridors were filled with empty bottles and glasses. As we left there was no enquiry as to how our stay was. Overall it was disappointing and not worth the money I paid.

Easily found. Well located. Nicely maintained. Clean & tidy. Good room size. Plenty of parking. Staff generally extremely helpful & pleasant. Sadly, where I personally feel this hotel lacked, was in the bar service & staffing. There needed to be a bit more enthusiasm,.. get up & go. Thinking ahead instead of only fetching 1 beer glass at a time from the rear room, that maybe some of the other 20 blokes waiting patiently at the bar for the 3 staff members to simultaneously to work/ use the till together, MAY also want a beer , so at least bring 2 glasses as a minimum !.. Staff shuffling about like wading through knee deep molasses made buying drinks a chore. - I believe with slightly more ' vim & vigour' this hotel.could easily sell 50% more drinks. It's painful to order a drink & then have to wait so long to actually receive it. Watching the staff member go & get a glass was like watching a YouTube clip on half speed. A lack of awareness, responsibility or motivation resulted in many comments about the speed of ( lack of ..!) Bar service... It was so poor ,I felt ' Time management' courses were appropriate ! 😂🤣

Front desk staff very friendly. Bar staff were too. Location is good, we do have a car though. Didn’t mange to go to the spa, as we have ran out of time. Only let down way the cleaning of the room. Detailing appears to have been missed for example dust on plug sockets and splash marks in the bathroom. Overall I would visit again.

When I arrived in my room it smelt like someone had been smoking in there and the TV didn't work correctly. I was able to change rooms but to a twin rather than the double I had originally booked, and I had to wait a while for the new room to be allocated because the computer system at reception had crashed. The bathroom was mostly clean but there were hairs in the bath which wasn't very pleasant. I ordered room service which took well over half an hour to be delivered and when I tried to contact room service to find out how much longer I had to wait their phone system wasn't working. The staff were friendly and accomodating but the overall experience definitely could have been better.

Attended a work event here and stayed the night. Good venue for awards night. And lovely hotel room. Nice and clean with a fab shower and amazingly comfy bed. Staff were lovely and great for access to Nottingham centre. Would thoroughly recommend

Enjoyed our stay which was only for a night. Bed was super comfortable and didn't hear much noise from the nearby motorway. The only downside I found that as a spa hotel, there's no complimentary robes or slippers to enter the spa, unlike others I've been too it was a shame to not have that included. You can rent a gown for £7, but I feel these should have been included. Bring your own slides to enter and maybe your own robe- walking through the bar in a towl didn't feel quite right and perhaps that should get looked at, not all guests would want to get changed in the locker room to then go back to relax in the room etc. Other than that gripe, we had a good time. The spa was very clean, as was the hotel and the staff were really friendly

Great hotel located just off the M1 motorway but not disturbed by the noise. The standard double room was spacious and nicely laid out. The bed was so comfortable, and the pillows were soft. Nice to have both a bath and shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was good with a large selection of food and drinks. Service was atentive and polite. Great experience and would recommend.

This is a good hotel for a one night stop over. The services are good, the hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The bar is well stocked.

We came as part of a wowcher deal. The facilties were fair however it was very busy with little space around the pool area. There was also an event on so lots of children. Staff members in the pool and spa were all very friendly and helpful. Maggie was very knowledgeable. The afternoon tea however was poor. We had been allocated a table but when we got there it was dirty with used glasses and empty crisp packet. The waiter brought our afternoon tea out and was going to leave the rubbish until we asked for it to be removed and for the table to be cleaned. We had almost finished our afternoon tea by the team our drinks had arrived. The actual sandwiches were dry like they had been made far too early and the cakes were  poor quality despite how much had actually been spent on the wowcher. Not worth the price at all

When we first arrived only one of our rooms was ready, the second room became ready an hour later which was really poor service. Sumit the receptionist was not clear and did not provide any information, as it was our first time staying for the spa etc we had to find our way round ourselves. The highlight of the stay was the spa package..... Me and my sister booked a spa package deal, we both went to Chloe who was absolutely amazing and thorough with both treatments. Highly recommend :)

Best UK hotel stay ever! Fantastic service from booking to checking out, staff went out of their way to ensure our needs were met. There were plenty of vegetarian and vegan options for dinner, generous portion sizes. Breakfast also too exceeded our expectations. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Luxury spa. Relaxing treatments. Value for money. Highly recommended.

Hotel more 3 star than 4. Room not cleaned on 1 day. Radiator didn't work so no heat. The cooling unit could be set to a higher temperature but made a lot of noise so no good at night. Had a laptop size safe which was good. Room quite dark in places. Couldn't initially get TV to work - took a couple of hours to get that fixed. System had not been reset since March so guide times were 1 hour out. Breakfast choice was good. Dinner was more hit and miss. Seemed to be generally a shortage of staff. Location a long way out of Nottingham and no local bus.

I stay here for work, it is ideal and by far the nicest in the area. The gym facilities help to unwind after a long day and a nice way to start with a few lengths too. It serves a good breakfast (can't comment on the evening food as my guilty pleasure is the smokehouse down the road). The staff are always helpful and it's very welcoming. I've stayed in a variety of rooms including suites and some of them are in a little need of TLC but in the whole they are clean and of very nice proportions.

Beautiful hotel, it's a very big room with everything you need, spotless clean. Room service if you want it,and food is great. Air con which was great and the reason I stayed to beat the mad weather. The spa is lovely you can have different treatments there's a gym and pool and reasonable prices. In a good location there a pub and Aldi close by. Highly recommend, can't wait to go back.

Staff absolutely brilliant. Incredibly friendly and professional. I only give 4 rather than 5 stars because we booked fairly late and got an accessible room in the basement, which wasn't quite a comfy as we hoped, no hairdryer and the TV didn't work. The hotel was packed for a wedding that was very well supported. It's always a bit odd being the people not in a wedding at a hotel and we couldn't get food when we arrived but the hotel is worth recommending. The pool is very nice, so are the breakfasts and there's plenty of parking

This was our first time at the Belfry and I will say it didn't disappoint. The only negative comment would be that we booked a suite for a week and the first 3 nights our air wasn't working. The front desk, especially Giusianna, was more than helpful and was able to relocate us into a different suite that was perfect! Not only was the front desk wonderful to work with, the bar staff was excellent as well, and very accommodating. Always had smiles on their faces. We ate breakfast out the first bunch of nights until realizing that the hotel breakfast was the best we had all week! The food from the lounge area was some of my favorites. Francine and others were so lovely. I only gave 4 stars for the room because of the air issue, but everything else was amazing so I'm giving a five star review. Being from America, I also think the British are so polite and helpful, but maybe I've encountered too many rude people here in the US so was so impressed with the courtesy we were shown!! We are booking another trip for next year and will definitely stay at the Belfry! Thank you and can't wait to see you next year!!

Had a nice stay here with my family. Friendly staff who looked after us. Breakfast was great. Good selection, although lacking one or two items to make it a "true" English breakfast 😜. Rating one star less because the air-conditioning unit in the family room failed, thus, the night was slightly uncomfortable. Opening the windows helped, but not the sort of experience we expected as it was a key consideration when choosing to stay here. Used the indoor pool and gym facilities. Experience was positive (and busy too) - I'm guessing we had a lot of non-staying guests using the facilities too. Swimming was at 10.30 AM because that's the permitted start time for kids. Towels were provided which is quite handy, as we got used to bringing our own towels due to Covid! Thanks again to the hotel staff for making the experience positive. Hope to stay there again when in the area. Also noticed an electric charging point in the car park area when we were driving out - hope this helps those who need a charging point for an EV.

We though we would come and stay again as we got married there almost 3 years ago and it was getting refurbished. On arrival the lobby was lovely and check in was smooth but the room was dirty I shown the reception pictures I had room of it in the morning for them to say I will be in touch with housekeeping and thanks for feedback the price for the night really didn’t reflect the room !!

I attended the Hotel on the 05/03/2022 for my friends Birthday Party, the food disgusting the chicken was dry with no taste at all, and the prawn cocktail was layed on a bed of stale lettuce with no sauce. When i asked the manager named Charlotte for some sauce to try and make the food bearable she stated i will see what i can do and never returned, so asked another member of staff and she never returned, there was no salt or pepper on the tables, and even when the party had finished tables were not fully cleared. Poor food and poor service. Very disappointed always thought ht Belfry had high standards.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, has a large parking and off the road there is an Aldi supermarket; the room was nice enough, large and sunny; the furnishing and decoration were a bit dated, but the cleaning standard was good, the bed sheets were sparkling clean and mattress and pillows comfortable. The bathroom was large with both bathtub and shower. The breakfast was bufet type, served in a spacious restaurant with plenty of space between the tables to feel private and safe C19 related. The chairs' tapestry was really warn off and dirty, they could do with some clean covers if the hotel doesn't plan to replace them soon.Really, I felt bad touching the food after I touched the chair...Except this, all was OK.In my opinion, the room has been priced correctly to the conditions and I would not mind returning to this hotel in the future.

Luxurious 4 star hotel located outside the city centre, with some really highly rated restaurants nearby. The interior feel of the hotel - reception/restaurant/bar area/rooms etc - is modern, slick, and appealing. This review relates to a family weekend away with my 13yo daughter - we really appreciated the way the hotel looked after us all. The staff were professional but warm and friendly, the breakfast was enjoyable, and the pool & spa facilities were good also. Special thanks to Michaela from the front desk team who sorted out a complex biling issue for me with a big smile and in a super efficient way. She's an absolute star. Bonvoy recognition was excellent. I'm looking forward to staying again soon. 🙏

I visited the Belfry today for a one day spa break with my mum and we were both amazed, and not in a good way, at the service we received while eating at the restaurant. We had a spa package where lunch was included and the menu was extremely limited. Not only that but we waited 40 minutes for a pot of fruit, my mum cleared our plates away herself and when we purchased drinks we had to request them after waiting 20 minutes! The barman I ordered our drinks with had apparently just walked off after ordering and paying and not told any other staff member. The lady that gave us our drinks apologised a lot which was appreciated but the error wasn’t her fault. We then went for our treatments with the lovely spa staff and I got a gel pedicure. Upon arriving home I found that one toe has chipped already! The ladies in the spa are lovely but sadly I won’t be returning or recommending. The hotel is dirty and the spa itself is inadequate. Given one star just for the lovely spa and leisure staff.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. Breakfast was good . A variety of fresh fruit was available, along with a selection of cereals. The hot food included nicely cooked bacon and sausages and large fresh mushrooms. Self service tea , coffee and juices were available too. Cleanliness of the room could be improved. The glass table was not dusted at all and the toilet was not cleaned daily. The corridors and stair needed a good hoovering and the doors and skirting boards were covered in dust. Restaurant meals were OK but the crisps served with a sandwich were very stale. The safe in the room was not working and although the receptionist tried her very best to fix it, no-one followed this up at all during our stay.
