Hotel staff duty manager & Manager are very rude, low customer service skills, absolutely disgraceful for best western, I’ve stayed in many other best westerns and never had a problem but the Nottingham staff have there head held very high. Firstly TV was broken and they had no solution to solve this saying there is no spare tv, however one of the cleaners went in to the spare room and located us a tv…. Very cheeky duty manager when trying to resolve this issue saying it’s not her problem and she’s busy so she can’t be bothered to do it. They made me change my own bin, put the towels in the correct space and left the hoover outside stating for me to clean the room myself. The manager if I’m correct responded to me saying “I’m taking the Piss” I don’t think customer service teaches you to speak to people like this, absolutely appalling, rude and disrespectful.

Location in the centre is very good, the room was a good size, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable, felt like there was a metal bar in the middle of mattress. A lot of the noise was coming through the window, even though they are double glazed. Won't be booking this hotel again.

On first impression at service desk, receptionist was not very welcoming. Room was a good size and bathroom was pleasant. Bedding in room was disgusting. Very noisy in early hours of the morning, party on the street and the pub down the road was having a karaoke night . Breakfast… catering manager was lovely, very warm and pleasant. Breakfast was not the best , we arrived at 9.05 am to be told it was coming off at 9.15 . Was supposed to be served till 9.30 .

📍 Perfect location in the city centre, two minutes walk from the Old Market Square. 😊 Very polite and cheerful staff. We enjoyed the vibe. 🛏 Comfortable beds that really help you relax. 🏨 The rooms are quite big, however, they definitely need a renovation. Value for money option!

I just got to the room and found some black hair on the sheets (my hair is not black) and called Reception to see if they hadn't changed the sheets. Reception's solution is unfortunately they can not change the room or clean it, so I have to wait for housekeeping in the morning. Now I ask for a new sheet and change it by myself

Lovely hotel, great location in city centre, close all the shops, restaurants and bars. I wasn’t excepting much but the staff were nice and friendly. The rooms were lovely and spacious with big windows and a good view of the city. Bathrooms were bigger than excepting with a nice clean bath and shower. Only thing that let it down was that the sofa beds were a very thin springy mattress. But still got a good night sleep and wasn’t as noisy as expecting with the location. Staff were nice enough to let us leave our luggage in a secure room when we checked out the next day and had a meal booked before train home.

Rooms are way too warm!! Parking was poor. Breakfast was nice.

Not the best hotel I've stayed in recently. Staff not that friendly. All to busy with their own conversations at the front desk. Stained carpet. Heating in room not working properly. Body wash wasn't refilled. Clearly not checking the rooms properly wouldn't stay there again tbh.

Room was decent but too warm for us and quite noisy in the early hours. We were disappointed that we couldn't get carpark space as this needs to be reserved and it was full.

Room was well laid out and large enough. But it was situated on a very busy road with lots of late night party people

Shared a room with a golf society. Booked parking in advance as recommended. Great central position, staff very friendly and helpful.

Been to many hotels but this was the first time in a best western hotel. Great location in the city centre, right next to the tram stop, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, lovely clean room. The shower was amazing. The breakfast was the best we've ever had in a hotel. We would definitely stay again.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Nottingham. The room was spacious and clean, which made my stay quite comfortable. However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience as there were no power outlets conveniently located next to the beds. Additionally, I had trouble switching off a light before bed because the switch was not easily apparent, and I had to take out the bulb. Despite these small issues, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the hotel's staff was friendly and accommodating.

Lovely spacious rooms, with a good sized bathroom. Great location for city centre and the Theatre Royal. Clean and tidy, bar on ground floor. Nice breakfast, allergies and intolerance catered for. Staff friendly, noise levels low. Balcony area to sit on. Breakfast room with glass ceiling. Very impressed.

I was thoroughly disappointed and let down by the staff, provision of services, maintenance and duty of care that this hotel provides. Having paid in advance for an early check in, I was told that my room was not ready. The reception proceeded to charge a further £10 for early check in despite having to wait for the room to be cleaned. On arrival, the room was tidy, yet basic amenities were missing or damaged. The iron board was bent and unusable, the shower contained pre-locked soaps which were incorrectly placed (there was no body wash and two conditioners locked and fixed in, which prompted me to call housekeeping more than twice). To my biggest disappointment, the hotel has pathetic and almost comedic water pressure. And to add to the disappointment, after expressing my concerns to the concierge, I was plainly told that nothing can be done and no member of staff would investigate as all of the rooms have the same water pressure. It took me over 1 hour to use the shower and wash off, and I still felt unclean after coming out of the shower. If you as a guest dare (or are simply unlucky enough) to experience this, I hope that you do not encounter the same setbacks that I faced. Having experienced multiple hotels of varying standards, both below and above 4 stars, I can confidently say that the service alone does not satiate the requirements of a 4 star hotel, let alone a 1 star hotel. If the care and attention of the staff were to be better, it may have made up for some aspects of the hotel that were lacking. Shall not be booking again and may well avoid the chain for the foreseeable future.

The hotel and rooms are evidently dated. Toilet ventilation is also quite poor. Beds were not that comfortable and you could feel like you were sleeping on the springs. However, location is fantastic so if you’re not fussy about quality, then this is a steal.

Prime location: There is parking nearby (3 min walk), which will cost you £12,50 for 24 hours ( collect your ticket and pay to BW reception) Hotel is clean we upgraded our room on the day and had a massive room, big comfy bed with one of the best showers I've had from a hotel, lovley Elmis products, we didn't find the rooms to be noisy. Hotel breakfast was hot and had the normal selection you'd find, within walking distance to all the main locations eg shopping center, cinema, town, mini golf. 100% will only stay here if we come to Nottingham again. Thank you for an amazing and special stay

Stayed here for work recently and would highly recommend. Staff are lovely and friendly. Parking is definitely worth booking in advance as not many spaces. Position is perfect as right in the centre of shops bars and cafes. Rooms are spacious and clean. Good view of the city but can be noisy at night. Only down side is no fridge. That would be a great asset in the room. Food at breakfast is good. And plenty of choice on the evening selection as you order in on the hotel app. I'd definitely go back.

My mother asked me to write this review. She’s currently staying at the hotel. My mother came all the way from the Middle East to visit my sister who studies at Nottingham. She was greeted in a very rude manner at the reception. Secondly, there was a faulty basin in her room which should not happen in a hotel. Thirdly, the staff responsible for cleaning the room told her that in order for them to clean the room, she will have to be out of the room by 7am and they refused to clean the room at any other time. Eventually when they did clean the room at 7am, they did not even bother emptying the trash. These are all issues in personal matters. I have stayed in the hotel before but I did not encounter this experience due to the fact that I don’t look Middle Eastern (I do not wear the headscarf). I believe my mother is getting this bad treatment from the staff because of the headscarf on her head. I truly hope the customer service improves, especially when dealing with foreigners.

Rooms are extremely hot but the aircon makes an awful noise when on full so its quite frustrating trying to sleep with the heat. People above were smoking out of the window and unfortunately they didn't put their cigarette butts out before throwing and they threw it into our room. Luckily I was still awake and managed to put it out before it burnt the floor and set on fire! I called the reception but wasn't told the outcome of that as ita scary to think what would've happened had I been asleep..

Great surprise for a city centre hotel. Room fantastic, very clean. Bed not to bad. Breakfast not to bad and plentiful.

Grimy, all-carpeted, dark and narrow corridors with flights of stairs all around the place. Dark room with poor wifi reception. Check-in and check-out times are not the standard in the Uk. On the positive side, it’s centrally located and the bathroom has been recently renovated

Pretty disappointing - booked this place because it was central and offered parking, only problem is that there's 11 parking spots for 4 floors of rooms, so the "overflow" carpark was a public car park 8min walk away. Got to my room, which stank of cigarette smoke, so then had to move rooms again (after I was asked to pack up my stuff again, bring it to reception just to head back to the same floor I was originally on). Towels in that new room had a 20cm rip in them. Not sure how that's acceptable, but ok. Lastly I was denied breakfast, because the (already paid for) breakfast wasn't transferred when I moved rooms. Took another 10min to resolve. After that I could eat something and let's just say that the veggie/ vegan options are rather non-existent. Staff were helpful but somewhat incompetent. Won't be coming back.

Hotel was good.... rooms clean and tidy as you'd want them to be. Rooms could do with some sound proofing as it's a very busy area of town and traffic noise was intrusive during the night. Mo in the dining area was wonderful and deserves special recognition for her customer service.

Standard best western hotel really , nothing special , basic rooms with no air con so they do get a little hot, breakfast again is pretty basic but I suppose you get what you pay for.

Our stay here was not up to the standard I expected after paying £265 for 2 nights. As we entered our room, there was a strong smell of cannabis. We struggled to get rid of this smell as both windows in the room were broken. It was also very noisy outside of the hotel and falling asleep was a struggle. On our second night, we had just ordered pizza and wanted a nice relaxing night. After getting our pizza, we came back to the room and the card we were given would not work. After trying numerous different cards, they decided to move us to a different room, we then had to eat our cold food in the lounge area. After eating we then had to pack all of our stuff and move it into the next room. Before we did this, I hit my head on the door frame in the lounge area which left me with a lump and quite a lot of pain, the staff's response was 'this has happened a lot of times before' but there was no warning sign. Although the staff did their best to deal with the door situation which I appreciated, this definitely was not a weekend of any kind of luxury and I will not be returning.

Struggled with steep steps at doorway to hotel, one lift broken (the other can only fit 3 people and was always busy, occupied by staff & trollies). Most uncomfortable and smallest double bed I have experienced. Lumpy, soft and had to sleep on the floor in the end. Every time my husband turned over, I would be tossed in the air and woken up! Bath tub is dangerously too deep and, with no rubber mat, I slipped twice getting out. Shower pressure bad, weak flow, poor quality and range of “free” toiletries. Overall it was disappointing for £87/night.

Lovely and very helpful staff Good atmosphere in the bar and dining room. Rooms are very clean and not too much furniture so room to move around. Will look forward to coming back soon.

Heading to a gig at Rock City? This hotel is a must! It's staff are most welcoming and very accommodating. The rooms are clean and spacious and have all you'll need - air con, good showers, tea and coffee facilities tv etc. Can't comment on the hotel food, but the bar was grand - tvs for sport, good tunes. The hotel itself is located beside rock bar the "Tap and Tumbler" (excellent tunes and an extensive selection of beverages) and directly opposite the nifty neon soaked "Bunk" (excellent cocktail and wing purveyors) With these amenities and Rock City merely a 3 minute walk (0.1 miles) around the corner, this hotel has everything you'll need for a great gig night away in Nottingham :-)

Our stay was a one night bed and breakfast with early check-in and reserved parking. This hotel is ideally located. Near to the Royal Concert Hall and main shopping centres. All the Staff we came in contact with during our stay were friendly & helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and well furnished. Restaurant A very clean spacious and bright area. Breakfast was help-yourself buffet style. On offer were:- Cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, cheese, sausage, bacon, fried or scrambled egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, hash-browns, toast. Coffee & tea making facilities were available also.
