I saw the Queens Motorcade pass by the Igloo Backpackers Hostel on June 13, 2012, during my stay in Nottingham! It was not planned at all, I was just in the right place at the right time.

Pleasantly surprised - a lot better than other hostels I've stayed in in the past. Comfy bed, clean throughout, and good bathrooms. Staff were very helpful, and the shared kitchen is decent. Excellent price for a private room too. Only complaint is that a lot of rooms face the main road, which as you might expect is pretty noisy.

Excellent. Really nice. Lovely stay. Have not been in a youth hostel for 28 years and my god - this was palatial compared to my youth! Wonderful city centre location with a warm atmosphere, very good beds and bedding and an impressive kitchen. The staff were friendly and welcoming and had a great stay.

Great place to stay for one night that did not cost an arm or a leg. Not far from the city centre or the motor point arena. I stayed with 4 other friends in a room with bunk beds and could have fitted in another person if required. Despite having shared bathrooms (3 in total) they were kept nice and clean. The kitchen downstairs was roomy and held facilities for you to cook your own meals and provides some plates, cups and utensils to use. The two staff members that I met were friendly and helpful. Just what you need in a new city. Free wifi is available. Towels can be rented for £1 (prices may have changed since my stay in March '18). The room was paid for on (physical) arrival to the hostel and a £20 deposit was required for each key to the room provided (the money was returned at the end of the stay. Again prices may have changed). I would recommend this place to stay for a couple of nights or if just passing through.

I stayed in 4 hostels in England during my vacation and this was the best. Clean, professional and personal. The building is well kept and the staff were super friendly. The wifi is fine, the kitchen has everything you would need. Free tea and coffee. The painting on the walls really gives it a casual feel. The bathrooms are like that of a house. The location is pretty sweet. It was generally quiet too with the exception of some neighbors drinking.

I stayed in one of the private room "pods". Very comfy and pretty quiet up there. An obvious choice for a good night's sleep at a bargain price. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well-equipped and with free tea and coffee! You're expected to do your bit - clean up your rubbish in the kitchen and strip the bed before you go - but that's hardly a big trade-off.

I enjoyed my stay at igloo backpackers. Staff are keen to answer all questions and to help. The bunk bed was comfortable although a little noisy upon moving. Cant expect 6 people in a room to not make any noise though. Just bring earplugs. TV had jammed signal to the point that it was useless for it to be there. Didnt matter too much to me I got what I needed. Great value for money as this is one of the most affordable backpackers online. Kitchen was well looked after and so was the bathroom.

It's such a charming backpackers hostel, and everything is just so clean. Arrived late at night around 10pm and we were warmly welcomed. The room we booked was beautifully furnished, and the common areas such as the kitchen and toilets were fantastically clean - much better than I expected!

Friendly staff, a bit fragmented with half the rooms being across the road accessible by a discreet entrance, but otherwise acceptable. Small supply of toiletries if you need them, comfortable albeit a little squeaky bunk beds. Onsite parking round the back of the building housing the reception (off the turning where Richer Sounds is). As a suggestion it would be good if there were multiple keys for each room so your friends aren't dependent on you letting them in and out!

Stayed at the Anexe. Room was huge and comfortable. Shared bathroom was fine. Only drawback of whole experience was the parking and the fact that nobody seemed to have any idea that there was good parking available blocks away. We had to look for it (for half an hour). In that sense the staff could have been slightly more knowledgeable. Otherwise, good place.

😠 Run by wildhearts who gladly take the money but when things go wrong they ain't bothered. Just check out their views on the leaking roof at this building. They treat tenants worse than animals and the contractors are treated even worse with having to chase monies for works as well as been deducted....

🫤 All over service is efficient and manager who is looking after really takes care.Just because of this, I am ignoring a blunder done by the person working there or by some one from laboratory by entering wrong date of birth in pcr test. I managed to rectify it by directly calling to laboratory as it...
