Hotel needs refurb. Our room was clean but carpets were awful need replacing also furniture dated and scuffed. Bathroom was lovely. Towels were nice and fluffy clean and really large. Staff were brilliant helpful friendly nothing was to much trouble. Hotel in good location. But unfortunately because of condition of room I can't recommend 😕.

Absolute dump. The worst room I’ve stayed in. This place is so run down and filthy. As you walk in your greeted with a stale smell, this smell increases as you walk the corridor to your room. The carpets are rippled and a potential trip hazard and should be replaced as they are long past cleaning and refitting. The room I had was disgusting (118). Do not look at the duvet under the cover!!! Or the pillows in the pillowcase 🤢There are stains all over the carpet and walls and the smell of the room is terrible. The bathroom resembles something that you would see in a detention centre, soap/shower gel in a dispenser on the wall!! Shower was challenge! Mould in the sealant all around the bathroom and the fan doesn’t work so everything’s damp. Travelodge should send an area manager to this place and address this as I’m sure it’s losing potential income as I won’t return next time I’m in Nottingham. It wouldn’t take much to change things around even I could do it! If I go to another travelodge elsewhere and it’s anything like this I’ll be taking issues raised straight to management. Oh and the price was a joke £105 without a breakfast.

Only just remembered to do this review as it popped up on my feed. We stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at this establishment and despite it being a reasonably cheap stay for the time of year it was far from good. The place is rather shabby and in need of updating in certain areas. The room was clean enough but not exactly immaculate. Didn’t feel comfortable enough to walk around barefoot throughout the room. For some reason when arriving in the room the heating was on full whack to the point where you couldn’t breathe in the room and we had to unplug it and open the window. The room had a sort of musty smell about it and it smelt like someone had been smoking cigarettes in the corridor outside our room. When we came back later that evening it smelt like someone had definitely been smoking in the rooms around us to the point where it had got in our room and stank as well. I complained to the front desk but nothing was done about it as the smoking continued. The same could be said of the next night. The attendant on the first day was friendly enough but couldn’t take a hint that we just wanted to go to our room and persisted in keeping us at the front desk for nearly 10 minutes despite me saying I didn’t need to know any more information. I was trying to be polite but he just wouldn’t get the message to leave us alone. When I reported the bad smell of cigarettes he walked into our room and started spraying stuff everywhere including on the bed despite me not inviting him into the room and asked him not to spray chemicals on the bed we that going to sleep in. All in all a pretty terrible experience, I would not choose to stay there unless it was an absolute emergency, for which it would’ve been a serviceable night where are you had a relatively clean bed and warm shower. Other than that nothing good to report.

One thing that photos of room on Internet can not show you is the smell. Unfortunately, the room we stayed smell mouldy and that ruined everything. We didn't get a good night sleep because that damp and mouldy smell. Will definitely not stay here again.

Fairly standard travelodge experience. Pros, friendly and helpful staff, shower water pressure and temperature was excellent. Fresh towels and bedding in the room when we arrived. Cons, the rooms are quite dated with peeling wall paper and water stains on the ceiling. The carpet had seen better days and was sticky in places. The bed was really uncomfortable and the pillows were awful. The hallway lights were so bright they shone under the door and light up the whole room at night. There is heating in the rooms but no aircon, so it was very warm even for September. Altogether it was quite an uncomfortable sleeping experience. Breakfast is a chargeable extra which is understandable but why is wifi chargeable. It should be included at any half decent hotel these days. Overall, not a great experience but certainly not the worst. It's fine if you just need a bed for the night but i wouldn't recommend it for longer stays.

Staying on business and this was the only hotel available. This hotel would be acceptable for less than £50 but at £80 it was a huge disappointment and unsure how they can charge the same as the likes of premier inn down the road. Uncomfortable beds, no free Wi-Fi, carpets and threadbare and stained, no hair drier in the room. I think I’d rather drive home and back than stay here

can't give a fair comment on any Travelodge as all of the ones I have stayed at have had no real facilities for residents and I personally feel that the breakfast to go at £5.50 is at best inadequate my own experience is that if they offered a social room that guests could utilise and use for breakfast and perhaps just have a chat about their day or just general chit chat it may enhance their stay whether it's 1, 2, 3 or more nights and as I said the breakfast is like the rooms which is okay for all the lonely people who want to be lonely but if you're a bit more outgoing and like company they're just not for you... ps I usually do not have a choice as I have to stay where my company give me as they tend to not have a great budget for drivers overnight stays

Ideal bargain hotel if you are paying a rate of about £30-£50. Bear in mind that if you pay any more you can expect rationed toiletries, minimal power sockets and extremely noisy plumbing. My room had a good view of the bins, no way to hang out the do not disturb sign and a resident spider. Would have been alright at more modest rate.

Friendly and helpful staff, rooms have had a spruce up at some point but the carpets are all past their best

A HUGE thank you to the staff especially the lady (so sorry l didn't get your name) who was on duty from 3pm Friday 30th September, who went over and above to make sure we had all of the information that we needed and saw that our stay there was extra special. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend a stay there.

Another great stay at this hotel whilst my son did Table Tennis training in Nottingham with the England Squad. The staff are all friendly and polite, the room was perfectly clean as always, and the bed gave a great comfortable night's sleep... Travelodge should be very proud of its staff... looking forward to the next stay... 10/10

They need to hire a carpet cleaner, looked and smelled nasty. Otherwise pretty standard basic budget accommodation, OK for a few nights away.

The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. Otherwise it was a good stay.

A tired Travelodge. Booked two rooms and both had a really unpleasant smell. Signs of mould in the silicon around the shower tray in the bathroom. The rooms were otherwise clean and the staff cheerful and helpful. I would not stay there again before it has had a complete refit and the ventilation upgraded to deal with the damp and the smells.

It was the place I stayed when I first came to Nottingham in early 2022. Quiet and clean room, convenient location, cheap price, and friendly staff. Good memories.

Friendly staffs, nice room. The toilet bathroom hole where water rushes in needs to be checked.
