A fabulous place to rest up before that big night out in Nottingham. The room was very well put together, very clean & with plenty of tea & coffee available. The staff were very helpful & the bar area is very cosy. Overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants a stylish place to stay when visiting Nottingham. Well done Team Bentinick

The staff were helpful when I forgot my key in the room. The breakfast croissants were delicious. I feel like I made the staff feel uncomfortable because I couldn't hear English. sorry. Good hotel. Miki

The bed was so comfortable. The staff were amazing, I feel like I left after only one night with a bunch of new friends. This will be my go to for quick and easy stays.

Welcoming friendly hotel in the city center. This hotel has personality unlike the bigger chain hotels. The staff we encountered Louise and May were so friendly and helpful we instantly felt at hime here. The breakfast is lovely and served in the cosy lounge area. Value for money is excellent. This was my second visit and when I return to Nottingham I will stay here again.

Situated opposite the train station couldn't be more convenient. Small entrance to the the stairs. There were 2 more flights up to our room. (No lift) We were early checking in (12pm) so our room wasn't ready, but our luggage was safely locked away and we could get on with our shopping weekend. The room was small but perfect for 2 , it was spotless and the bed was clean and very comfy, with tea/coffee facilities and fresh towels with the lovely addition of proper tea cups (instead of the standard white mugs😁) We were advised to put in two of the key cards into the electricity slot as it can be a bit temperamental. We did this and the lights kept going out after about 15 seconds, which we thought quite funny! We decided to try with just one, and it worked. Continental breakfast is included in the price. Staff polite and friendly and when my friend asked about 'free from' breakfast items, they made a note of it and the next day, provided a great selection of breakfast options! The breakfast room was lovely, so calm and personal. We will definitely be staying again- thankyou!

Staff were great - provided excellent service all throughout our stay. Room was cosy and comfortable with a great bed. Shared bathroom shower cubicles are small - not much room inside. Would be better to provide a bath mat since the cubicle base is very slippy.

Comfortable and clean hotel in a delightful old building immediately opposite the railway station. As a city centre location it can be noisy, if this is a problem for you, ask for a quiet room, we did, and got exactly that. My only issue with the rooms here is the terrible gimmick; automatic lights in the en-suite... Who thought THAT was a good idea? If you set foot in there during the night, super bright lights will fully wake you up along with anyone else in the room, and then they stay on for what feels like an hour and a half. This is not good and ignores certain realities of human physiology. The buffet breakfast is great, and there is a small supermarket next door on one side, and a coffee shop on the other.

The hotel is OK. Its a grade 1 listed building so they can't fix issues. There is no lift so you have to take your bags up 4 flights of stairs. Also breakfast starts at 830 not 6. Finally there is no AC and it is hot in June. Only plus is it is right across from the station.

Great hotel position perfectly for the cricket and town centre. Don't be put off by the fact that it is opposite the railway station it is a very quiet hotel. People are great, and breakfast is adequate. It is not for the faint-hearted as there isn't a lift, well! if there is, we haven't found it πŸ˜†

The good: - Clean, pleasant rooms, mine was a little small but fine for just me. - Very reasonable and conveniently located. - Friendly and welcoming staff. The bad: - When I arrived the booking I made through my work travel booking system, had been cancelled. Normally this means everything is paid for. So I had to use my own card and now claim expenses and ensure that the company hadn't been charged as well as me. - Shared bathroom, when I booked through our work system I had no idea the room had a shared bathroom, there were 2 bathrooms on my floor. The bathroom was reasonably clean, but not ideal especially if you are staying for work. - Breakfast was fine, continental breakfast, cereals and breads as a buffet. However, breakfast didn’t start until 8:15, I wanted to be in the office for 8:00, so really not ideal for work. So if you want somewhere reasonable to stay in Nottingham then this maybe a good choice for you. If you are here for work then I would recommend staying elsewhere though.

Right next to the station no walking. Beautifully fitted out, rooms are really nice. Great breakfast, continental included or cooked option. The best of all though are the staff who are first class, big thanks to them for making our stay perfect.

A last-minute booking due to an error with my original hotel booking in Nottingham. I found this and it was really good overall. However sharing a bathroom isn't something I have done for years, hence only 4 stars. Given the space available, I understand why it was done this way. The location by the station was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Really good continental breakfast.

The rooms were OK, they were comfortable and spacious with TV and tea making facilities. The food was lovely and all made fresh. The location was excellent, straight opposite the Railway station. There are a couple of downsides to the hotel, firstly, there is no lift and reception and all rooms are at 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor level! Secondly, the bar shuts at 9.00 pm.

Spent 2 nights - Β£150 with continental breakfast. Shared bathrooms. For its price and location I would say it’s reasonable and honestly if I stay broke I’ll probably used them again.

Charming hotel. Great location. Staff was amazing. Easy access to train station. Rooms were spacious and comfortable; although blackout curtains were needed. Overall this hotel was a fabulous holiday stay.

Stayed one night whilst visiting friends in Nottingham. Great location if you are travelling in by train right next to the station. Overall the place was much better than I'd been expecting. Everywhere was clean, staff friendly and pleasant enough room. If I was staying for more than a night or two then the shared bathroom arrangement might be a problem. We were on the top floor and the shower in one bathroom was no more than tepid and the other bathroom was permanently locked on the morning we were leaving. The continental breakfast was ok. Would definitely stay again when visiting Nottingham.

Love this hotel! It has a quirky shabby chic interesting decor. The gentleman who greeted us was friendly calm and informative. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The lady who served at breakfast was also friendly and efficient. Our room was clean, bright, great bathroom, good toiletries, thick towels. The room was warm on a very cold day/night. Will definitely be booking this hotel again.

Ah, what more can I say other than brilliant! The Bentinck is a little gem that you could miss if you didn't know it was there. Outside is the bustling of the railway station and its surroundings, but inside is a charming lounge where you can enjoy a hearty breakfast, or a coffee and cake. You can sit back, relax and enjoy. It's so worth a visit!

You can roll straight off the train into this hotel so the location is great. There is a chilled bar area so we had to force ourselves out of the hotel to explore the city. Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and the shared bathrooms were also clean and in good working order. Good value all in all.

I stayed in an en suite room and I've got to say I was really impressed! Good size room with a lovely bathroom. Staff were fantastically friendly and were keen to help whenever needed. Nice little bar with a good selection of beers. Only let down were unfortunately other guests, there was a door banging somewhere every 20 odd minutes until the small hours of the morning. No fault of the hotel, but unfortunately with no staff staying on site and only and emergency phone number there wasn't much that could be done. But like I said, no fault of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again, ideal location for exploring the city and if you're visiting either of the football grounds. 10 min walk to Meadow Lane, 20 mins to the City Ground.

Best hotel I've stayed at. Attentive staff helped us with a reservation change, very friendly when we checked in. Requested a day bed because we were travelling with two kids, and found two spare beds set up, which was a thoughtful extra we didn't necessarily expect. The price was startlingly good. When the breakfast is included with the price, you expect the breakfast to be pretty ghastly. Not at the Bentinck. Laid out prettily, and quite a varied selection, with the option of something more substantial for a fair price. The rooms were spotless and well stocked, and very spacious. It's the sort of hotel you don't mind coming back to relax in, instead of just folding yourself into a corner with your luggage, you can actually spend a pleasant evening. The building itself is simply delightful. The sort of place I'd see passing and want to stop for lunch at anyway, even without the hotel.

My first impression was that the location is amazing and when travelling back to London I won’t miss my train as I’ve previously done. Overall, I was extremely happy with my stay, staff were really accommodating and friendly, good food, beer and look forward to visiting again when I’m back to Nottingham for work

A nice hotel, service from staff is casual, friendly and sincere. I really liked the main lounge area, great decor and a local beer on tap. The room had plenty of space, if you want an en-suite make sure to specify that when booking. Be aware, it is right next to the train station and there are lots of bus routes which stop there. While totally not within the control of the hotel just remember that on a Friday or Saturday there will be a lot of city noise so consider accordingly. Great vibe.

This is the poorest hotel experience I have had in England. Just name a few of the problems: The door of the shower room can't be closed, so water can spill out. The light can be automatically off, so that you have to get out in the middle of showering and create some motion to wake up the light. Two out of the four lights in the washroom are not working, so it is quite dim. The curtain in the room is so thin, for those who are sensitive to light, you can easily be waked up in the early morning in summer. ... These problems must have been accumulated over time, and never repaired.

My train was delayed so I popped into this lovely little hotel bar/cafe opposite the station. Warm and cosy lounge where I enjoyed a cuppa and a cracking bacon sarnie. Staff were very polite and helpful. Recommended.

Visited here while waiting for a train back to London. Far better than the cafes in the train station and literally 30 seconds away. Sat in very comfortable chairs with quality coffee. I would imagine a nice place to stay if visiting central Nottingham.

Right next to the station. Perfect for tired travellers. Rooms are small but have everything you need and are clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even staying late at reception to check in due to delayed train. The only drawback is the fact that there are 2 flights of stairs to reception and no lifts! Would definitely stay again and it is definitely worth getting the breakfast!
