Perfect for our stay to see the cricket. Room had everything we needed for a short stay. Toiletries, coffee/tea making facilities, nice thick fluffy towels. The shower room toilet was fine for us but some may find it a bit small for a longer stay. Bed was comfortable and our room was quiet. The plumbing does have a macerator which is a bit noisy, but it didn't bother us. Good information in the room and Graham, the owner was very pleasant and helpful. Excellent breakfast, well cooked and presented with quality produce. Lounge room and outdoor area to sit in if you want. Parking is on street with a permit provided by the owner. It is one permit per room but owner put himself out to help us as we had 2 cars, which was appreciated. Good location, bus route nearby to city centre along with a convenience store. Fifteen minute walk to city and pleasant canalside walk to Trent Bridge which took 50 minutes

Can only write for 3 star. I have worked in a hotel and understand the difficulties that happen. Rooms getting trashed etc. Unfortunately the owner had difficulties with the pluming on the day and had to call me to accept a cancellation on Saturday. He sounded very embarrassed so accepted the refund without anything more. I have no question this was a one off as have friends who have stayed here before without any issue. Please support these businesses who run on a shoe string budget had it been Premier Inn I would have demanded a room for the night. I was offered a free room for the night if in Nottingham again by way of compensation. Please support these businesses.

Richmond house doesn't look appealing from the outside but it is lovely inside great decoration and the rooms was really nice, the host is very welcoming and can't do enough for you. The breakfast was spot on and the table was laid beautifully. I would recommend richmond house to everyone.

Emailed me on Thursday morning saying my they had overbooked and cancelled (and refunded to be fair) my booking. How can you possibly overbook a hotel? Very unprofessional. As someone who doesn't check their emails every single day, I didn't find this out until Saturday morning, an hour before I left. Luckily I was able to book a room elsewhere, unluckily I had to pay £60 more than I did for this place. That's actually a lot of money. Can't they ring? Just in case I didn't get the email? If I didn't get it somehow I would have been pretty much stranded. Will be recommending the other hotel to anyone I know going here from now on.

This is truly a nice place located in a serene environment, with excellent facilities and very budget friendly. I am particularly happy about the self service operational strategy and the seamless booking. I strongly recommend Richmond House to anyone looking for a short and medium stay accommodation when on business and social visits to Nottingham and environs. Could also serve as a temporary accommodation for students and new comers to the city, until they can find a a permanent accommodation.

Made really welcome. Comfortable room. On street parking but was given a permit which obviously has to be returned. Loved the fish tank in the bathroom. Would definitely recommend.

Very welcoming host, room although small, was perfect for our overnight stay, spotlessly clean and well equipped, my wife would have appreciated a mirror close to an electric point for doing her hair. The breakfast was superb! Couldn’t fault a thing, backed up again by the service from our host, will stay there again on our next visit to Nottingham ,

Owner was friendly, gave us a parking permit and cooked us a fantastic breakfast. His hospitality was as good as it gets but the room was a let down and not worth £85. Cramped with very little space for even a couple of bags, screws holding the curtain tie backs in place, shower was broken, wallpaper peeling off in the bathroom, just looked rough. Towel radiator didn't work so nowhere to dry or even hang our towels. Could be fantastic with very little work. I wouldn't say don't stay but it's definitely decieving from the pictures.

Booked this hotel at 1pm for check in later that night, as I’m working 4 hours away from home, heard nothing from the hotel however when i went to check in I was told they had overbooked & there was no room for me, no prior phone call Nothing just waited until I turned up at 7pm, have to wait 7-12 days for a refund and left stranded 4hrs away from home looking for accommodation that I now have to pay for again whilst waiting for a refund. Extremely unprofessional and by sounds of reviews a common occurrence. AVOID THIS HOTEL. Also no apology given!!

Me and my partner booked Richmond B&B as we had tickets to a gig at Rock City. Graham is very welcoming and we had a wonderful stay. We started in the Derbyshire suite and yes it's small but is a B&B and to us we couldn't fault it. Bed was extremely comfortable and for me a big bonus, so we're the pillows. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and a fan both a nice touch. Fish tank in the bathroom was a nice surprise. The only issue with the room and this is not stunning Graham could help, at 6'4 my partner was a bit too tall for the cabin shower but it have me a good giggle, toiletries provide and body lotion also in the bathroom. Communal lounge and garden we didn't use but nice enough. Breakfast was very nice and Graham made sure everyone was enjoying it and had plenty. It's a shame Graham in leaving the world of B&Bs shortly as his place is a hidden gem a stone's their away from Nottingham and he is the reason it's a gem!

Lovely and welcoming B&B, not far from the city centre but in a nice quiet spot! Warm and comfy room, with a surprise in the bathroom if you book the Derbyshire Suite 😀 🐠....Graham is the perfect host and breakfast is not only well presented but is yummy too! Would definitely recommend!
