The sink was plugged up when we arrived and wouldn't drain. When we arrived early they wouldn't stow our 2 bags for an hour so we could walk around the neighborhood. Plus, there was a 10 quid check in early fee. Only the first half hour of WiFi was free!! So we didn't use it. These last two I've never seen. The shower fan didn't work and they warned us that it would cause the smoke alarm to go off. Lastly, the bathroom door hit the toilet seat on closing. But, the room was clean.

Can't fault the service or the location of the hotel. The room, however, smelled musty and the noise made it impossible to sleep well. The carpet felt damp underfoot and maybe that was the reason for the bad smell. There were hairs in one of the beds! The rooms were very basic and definitely in need of an update. Carpets in the hallway were threadbare.

OK time for honesty , this one's not the best ,and that's a shame ,as I work away from home frequently, I do always stay in T/L because of the cost and for that I'd give this one 5 🌟's but unfortunately that's where it ends ,it's only fault is that the group needs to spend some money on the place ,it needs new carpets ,beds, sideboards, and work in the bathroom now I'm not saying every room as I didn't stay in every room but the one I stayed in was poor Staff here were nice enough, helpful enough but it's just enough no above and beyond, I didn't feel particularly special or particularly welcome

Quiet Lodge, clean rooms, tea and coffee kettle replenished everyday, bus stop close by and about 7 mins walk to tram stop. Good service so far by all the people at the 24*7 reception. Special mention to Saran and Olliver who were very helpful, giving information with bus or tram routes and how to get about. Would gladly recommend if you are not looking for a hotel with a restaurant and can manage your food outside.

Decent hotel just outside town. Good carvery pub next door. Location ok but industrial estate opposite

You aren't going to be surprised nor disappointed. Solid place but a bit to out of the way and yet to close to be convenient for the center town. Be prepared to get an Uber or have comfortable shoes

Lovely and friendly staff, clean rooms, the traffic outside is a little loud so would advise ear plugs 🤣 but couldn't fault our stay.

Staff on reception so helpful and answered all our questions with patience. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Exactly what we needed

Much as you would expect from a Travelodge. Reasonable amount of parking. Reasonably quiet and staff nice and efficient. Riverside in next door does good, cheap food.

Basic but excellent value for money. Very good sized rooms and reception staff friendly and helpful. Close enough to walk into city centre and to shops. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Really enjoyed my stay there, very friendly staff, good service, and great pub next door

Good value for money, sufficient for an overnight, tiny TV and no extras. Pub nearby OK for a carvery dinner and buffet breakfast.

Had great stay during Nottingham Visit. Especially the staff and service was really nice and professional , Alex from reception and Aakash from housekeeping, both of them really helped and guided us in whatever we needed. Rooms were clean. I would say it had great value for the money.

I was really disappointed in the standard of the hotel. There are far better hotels in the area for your company to book or so stay in privately. The rooms are extremely dated, poorly laid out and basic. You can book a holiday inn or air bnb for the same price and get a room you would actually not feel dirty staying in. The rooms: Tiny TV with only basic channels (no smart tv), poor quality bedding (similar to hospital bedding), stains on walls, floors and towels. There are no amenities like a hairdryer, iron or ironing board. And perhaps the worst thing out of all of this is NO BISCUITS haha! Not even a rich tea in sight! The brew kit was a let down. The facilities: There aren’t any. Breakfast is a box of food you pick up at reception that was a small box of cereal, a flapjack, a milk carton, a juice box and an old pastry. Even though there’s a restaurant that they could do business with about 50 paces to the right of the hotel. In summary: Don’t stay here. It’s no longer a budget hotel. As I stated before, prices for other hotels in the area are very similar. Even when traveling for work, I would never want one of my guys having to rough it out here. If your company cares for the moral of its employees, put them in the holiday inn down the road or the village hotel in Chilwell retail park. -Depressing breakfast added to review for everyone’s enjoyment-

Too bloody noisy. Other people staying have no consideration. Apart from that the staff and rooms are great. Stayed here a few more times and noise varies on what day of the week you stay. Try to get an upstairs room though as the sound travels a lot .

It suited our needs for a base, during our short break to Nottingham. Surprisingly easy to get to, despite how it appears on the map, and provides easy access to Nottingham and the surrounding areas. Rooms were clean, with all the expected fittings plus an electric fan in each room. I particularly liked that our room had a walk in shower. Parking space was adequate and dogs are welcome. There is a pub restaurant right next to the travelodge, which is open for breakfast but doesn't allow dogs except at the outside tables

Good location for visiting Nottingham but not very special itself. Comfortable rooms and pleasant staff. It would be nice if someone cleaned the roof over reception which has lots of garbage and cigarettes.

Great value hotel, nice, clean and tidy with friendly staff. The room was light and airy and the location was great, just a 2 minute walk to the bus stop and less than 10 minutes to the tram stop, which took us directly into Nottingham City Centre

The room was ok but upon arrival it stank of fish. The location is a bit hard to find as the sat nav can't find it easily. Friendly and helpful staff. There's free parking which is always a win.

Everything in its place and working correctly. Reasonably comfortable beds, not too soft. Staff very honestly called to let us know that a purse had been found in one of the rooms and returned it as it had been lost, which helped to bump the star rating to above average. Desk staff member on one night spoke quite abruptly, to the point of seeming to behave impatiently. On another night, the desk staff member was noticeably kinder and more polite. Hallways could do with being a bit better vacuumed but cleanliness was generally OK. Likewise, pub next door had one nice manager and one who was less pleasant to deal with. Food at the pub was about average.

Bath was shallow and too short my knees never got wet the whole time worn out carpet to the point off the colour not visible anymore no usb plugs no plugs by the bed side 25 inch old TV kettle was taken from a doll house so small no Biscuits with the tea selection. Nobody at front desk when checking out and most of the night no frosted window full view from the road into room so had curtains drawn most of the day lack of sun light let in. Nice shower gel though.

I'd rate this higher if this was a £50/60 room but at around £90+ for my stay the standard wasn't good enough. Musty smell on entering room, clearly a renovation required on IMMEDIATELY on carpets. Ripped furniture and poor quality bathroom standard. Staff are excellent, friendly and perhaps deserves more from this big chain. I would use again, only at a certain price point. The bed is absolutely fine, clean and firm. I only like posting positive reviews, generally but if this helps bring standards up from a investment POV then its useful. Finally, a bulky key and fob to carry around with me isn't ideal in this day and age.

There are just no words to describe how terrible this hotel was. Although the bed was clean, thank goodness. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling and it generally dirty. I do not know when the corridors were last cleaned or hoovered. I know it is a cheap hotel, but I would never stay in a Travel Lodge again. We booked the hotel as our son in hospital and we could not book anywhere else at such short notice. I would rather sleep in my car, than stay in a Travel Logde again.

Stayed during a storm, chap on reception struggled with our southern accent. We were given room 2, this room had a soaking wet carpet and did not smell great (?urine on floor) Complaint was dealt with swiftly and we were moved to a different room.

It's not a bad hotel, but was quite noisy at times with people in and out...my bathroom ceiling was dashed with mould, I did complain, hopefully it has been sorted...plenty of free parking with a pub next door...if you do book breakfast be aware it is only available from 8am...

Really tired and dated. Very overpriced but booked last minute so nothing else in the area. Toilet roll holder loose on wall and bedside lamp not working. Worst thing was people above thudding about all night, barely slept. Staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful. Good transport links to city centre

The worst hotel I have stayed in, absolutely disgusting. Would never set foot in a Travelodge again. Everything from the corridors to the bathroom, and even the chairs were horrible. Asked for antibacterial wipes to clean the room and the receptionist said no. No food places around either.

Only one towel for two people, vending machines don’t work, clean but in need of repair! Low value for the money! You know your in trouble when it’s a knackered old fan as the Aircon

I am not a fussy person but this is genuinely a disgusting hotel. It was overpriced, £133 for one night. The communal areas were disgusting with smelly carpets. The bedroom was freezing, it smelt and the window been left wide open. If I had not checked in at 11 pm I would’ve definitely looked for another hotel rather than have to stay there. I will never stay in a Travelodge again. The management really need to go and stay in this hotel and you will see what I mean. Your algorithm clearly charges high prices in times of high demand. I was attending a very popular conference nearby and I am appalled to have paid this price for such a substandard room. there was only one towel provided for a double room with a two-person booking. The gentleman on the desk was welcoming, and helpful with finding a towel and sold me a breakfast for £4.95. I genuinely felt embarrassed for him having to welcome people into such a shoddy place. I hate writing bad reviews, but this business cannot get away with robbing people for such an unpleasant experience. Please read and improve!

Clean, comfy and as you'd expect from a Travelodge. Yes, there are some aspects that look a little tired in the hallways but the rooms are good value for money. Staff were lovely and helpful. No complaints. Good access into Nottingham centre.

Outdated to say the least! The door lock to my room uses a normal key, the lock was loose, the room had paint bubbles on the bathroom door; carpets old and stained, leather peeling off the chair I had in my room; mattress was old, and the room smelled…I made a complaint online to head office and they did give me a 50% refund of £45. I will never stay there again!!!

The place is old and run down, we only used it to sleep. There is nothing comfortable about the place unfortunately we couldn't find anywhere else available for our dates close to where we wanted. Would not recommend. Full of workmen, probably booking well in advance to get cheap rates.

As a budget hotel it does it’s job. It was clean but the furnishings are old and worn. Check in was easy. The reason I don’t give a higher rating is it’s location. It is on the edge of an industrial estate and that means noise. There was a 24/7 noise coming from the logistics place opposite the hotel so if you are a light sleeper, consider elsewhere.

I know it's a cheap room... but please.... carpet was filthy.. toilet hardly flushed....marks on bedding...one bathtowel between two of us(no hand towels and the bathmat had a hole in). The communal spaces were grim and the corridor outside our room stank of weed. The only saving grace were the staff, who were lovely!

Very good and cheap hotel near the city but also had free parking which makes it so easy to use! I reccomend a 1st floor room to not get the wet room type shower!
