I booked this via google ads. I thought I was booking an apartment with all the facilities listed and at no time during the booking process were the kitchen facilities referred to as 'communal' or 'shared'. The booking confirmation showed a refundable damage deposit of ยฃ200 - something always associated with apartments. The check-in procedure was not outlined on the confirmation or any subsequent emails I received - it just stated 'Check-in Fri 01 Jul 2022 (15:00 - 23:00)'. So when we arrived expecting a reception, we only got a locked door. It is a contact-less entry system, and you do not receive access instructions until they get photo ID from you. I did not get either a text message or email request for this and this process is not outlined on the booking confirmation or website. Once we lugged ourselves, our food and our cases up several flights of extremely narrow and steep stairs*, to be confronted with 2 very hot, stuffy rooms and a tiny adjoining shower room, we learned to our dismay that we had no kitchen. There was no fan or air-conditioning the only ventilation was to open the windows, and since the property's location is between the cricket ground on one side and the football stadium on the other and directly opposite a 24 hour McDonalds, it was extremely noisy all night. So we did not get much sleep. We found a communal kitchen through 3 heavy fire doors. The sink was piled with dirty dishes, the fridge was full of badly stored food, every knife and plate we found was dirty/not properly cleaned and a frypan I took from the cupboard was covered in burnt on black grime rendering it unusable. Neither the extractor fan nor the light above the stove worked. Needless to say, we ended up eating out and taking our food back home. I do not recommend this property - it is far too expensive for what it is (ยฃ238 for 2 nights). Book a room at a hotel instead, then for equivalent money you will get air conditioning, elevators, quieter rooms and catering services.

It's a nice place to stay if you're not bothered about anything fancy! Practical location has parking, and both fortunately and unfortunately is located in front of McDonald's ahah

Stayed there for the last 2 nights in one of their top floor rooms. Was here for work, so I wanted a peaceful time...which is what I got! The room was very nicely presented and very spacious. Checking in was very easy, I had a text from the owner with all the details, so no problems there at all. Bumped in to him a couple of times during my stay and he seems like a genuinely nice guy :) A concern I had before arriving was some of the reviews I read about noise from other guests. I can see how it may be an issue if you have a large group there who are constantly moving about the building, but I didnt have that at all. Only saw 2 other guests there who were minding their own business, just like me. One thing I would say is that my room was a little cold. The hallway was lovely and warm, which made me think that maybe the issue was with the rads in my room, which was number 15. Not complaining about it though as I had a jumper and the bed was nice and cozy, just worth a mention :) Bathroom was nice and the shower was lovely and hot. Only briefly used the communal kitchen, but it was a really good size and was very well stocked. Overall, the experience I had here was excellent and I would stay here again when staying in Nottingham for work. Thanks for having me :)

Clean rooms recently refurbished. We were in a triple room, slightly odd feeling with the second bedroom off the first so that only access to it was through the first bedroom, but worked OK. Kitchen is shared, but we did not need to make use of it. Very well positioned for sports grounds and Nottingham Forest home turf. Lots of places within walking distance for food and drink.

River Rooms came to our rescue in between selling our house and a delay in buying a new home. Conveniently situated close to West Bridgford with easy access both into Nottingham and beyond, this was ideal for us. The rooms are exceptionally clean, tidy and very well maintained. The separate kitchen facilities with washing machine and fridge freezer an added bonus. Good parking space for those with cars. Garry and the domestic team are regularly on hand to sort things out and offer advice. Many thanks.

Great place to stay. Clean, bright and comfortable, with easy parking. Handy shared kitchen. Pleasant half-hour stroll into the city centre, across the river, and along the canal towpath. Never used a self-check-in before, but it was straightforward enough. Recommended.

Very clean rooms, nicely decorated and with a useful kitchen. The family room was in the basement.

Poor/non existant check in service. WIFI was okay if you stood in the corridor near the router ๐Ÿ‘Ž. Rooms have been refurbished but, white walls, screws in the wall, 80s shower cubicle. Room suits the football/cricket/workers crowd. To top it the radiators didn't come on

Two nights in this very clean and spacious accommodation. Easy access with self check in. Very comfortable bed. Shared kitchen on same floor with all equipment. Conveniently opposite 24 hour McDonalds. Free parking back and front of property. Perfect situation for local bus into town and for walking along the river to a great pub, Ferry Boat. Also easy access onto A52. Highly recommend.

Horrendous service, my friend payed his deposit and room price and was then told he wasn't old enough to rent the room AFTER paying. Incredibly rude colleague on the phone being 0 help.

The heater is not working at all after 3 hours. When we first called after half an hour of arriving, got a message that they are in teams call, and each time itโ€™s the same, they just donโ€™t want to pick up calls or just an auto reply. We then liaised via texts and was asked to wait and we waited for now 3 hours and when we texted back, the messages didnโ€™t get through and apparently they canโ€™t be contacted anymore after 6pm. We tried another number in their email for urgent contact, again no one picked up nor response to our texts. Weโ€™ve been in a very cold attic room for 3 hours now and no one bothered to follow up despite us updating them every half an hour and they just kept asking us to wait. And now, no one could be contacted

Easy to find, clean tidy rooms. We had a double with an adjoining twin which was perfect for us and teenage son. Great location for the football or cricket. Easy check in and check out with parking round the back of the hotel.
