I attended a wedding here The Bride and groom had about 50 guests, The registrar came from Nottingham to ensure everything was done legally. The wedding venue was quick transformed into a restaurant while we all ook photos in the gardens and had drinks at the bar and chatted. The Bride and Groom were staying overnight with other guests who had traveled a long way. The food was very good Salmon, crushed new Potatoes Veg and gravy wines on the table. I didn't stay for the evening disco.

Stayed here for a friend's wedding in lovely rooms with bath, shower, tv sofa etc. Even provided to different kinds of hair dryer. Bed was comfy and room had a little garden with seating attached. Got a glimpse of the bridal sweet which had it's own jacuzzi. Staff were lovely, accommodating, organised and punctual, breakfast was great, the bacon was huge! Parking right next to the door, easy to find, lovely location!

I only stopped for directions while out delivering. There was two beautiful happy ladies on reception with big smiles and happy personalities who was most helpful and cheered me up on a damp Friday morning in Nottingham.

We recently stayed at the cottage hotel for three nights as this is where we chose to have our Mother's wake. The staff were fabulous and couldn't do enough for us. A special shout out to Stella (sometimes known as Donna!!). She had to deal with numerous changes in our menu requirements and all done with a smile and cheerful manner. To the the bar staff, your service on the day was fantastic. Our room was comfortable, clean and the breakfast very good. Looking forward to staying with you again on our next visit to the UK. Thank you all so much. Brendan & Allyson

We had our wedding day at this beautiful venue a couple of weeks ago. Communication was excellent in the run up to our big day. On the actual day everything was timed to perfection. The staff were incredible and ensured everything ran smoothly. There was nothing for me to stress about. The food is incredible, everyone is still talking about how good the food was on our day. The venue itself is cosy and charming. It has the feel of a boutique hotel and has real character. However the staff are the main draw. They are well organised and professional, but at the same time approachable and fun. I can’t thank the team enough for an amazing day that I will remember for the rest of my life. I will definitely be returning as a regular customer and definitely recommend The Cottage Hotel to anyone who is currently planning a wedding.

Very nice staff, breakfast was fine. The location was good as it was near the training centre I was attending. Good transport links to Nottingham. Very old building but due to the layout you do not really get to appreciate it.. Rooms could do with a bit of refurbishment but okay.

Beautiful boutique hotel with staff who are simply wonderful. We have stayed there on numerous occasions now, and have always been delighted with everything. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Horrendous...... Β· The rooms are very dated and not welcoming This is through out the b and b as we ended up in 4 different rooms. The first one was really dated not very clean and the shower screen did not work. The second room was a little better but the heating ,running water and kettle did not work which they knew about but still wanted us to stay in for the night. The third one ,the ceilings were too low for my self at 6 foot 2 and was also told there would be noise around 12.30 to 1 am as the caretaker moves all the tables and chairs around for the next day .FINALY we was given a room that only the tv did not work which they knew about when questioned but that was the best out of 4. The evening meal came after around an hour but only 3 out of 4, the other was 20 mins later. The gravy was cold but did not realise till we poured it, so the meal had to go back while it was heated back up in the microwave. Then finally had to wait 10 mins after all the deserts had come out for a bowl off ice cream. The breakfast was barely warm on the second day and the pastries were stale, when we spoke to the lady in the dining room she insisted that they were fresh until we insisted she tried one and then agreed that they were not. We are not snobs that expect to much just a average middle aged, working couple that expected a nice short stay away for a break. We was given 1 nights fee back but would have rather paid full price and had a nice time.

We stayed for 3 days. Staff are very friendly and helpful and address the one problem we had immediately. On the negative side, the rooms are very old. Our curtain rail was broken, the water pressure in the shower is almost nonexistent and the mattress were totally slept through. The housekeeping lady did virtually nothing - didn’t even replace our dirty cups. All in all not a bad experience but the rooms and quality of housekeeping needs to be addressed.

Great place to stay, ample parking and nicely retained character features. Big modern 4pc ensuite too. There's a good restaurant for meals and breakfast. Staff very professional

Sue and her team were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and the free breakfast went down an absolute treat! Would definitely recommend

The hotel was cosy and had a lovely atmosphere. The rooms were in desperate need of updating but we're clean and tidy. The cooked breakfast wasn't great and the evening meal seemed quite expensive, having said all that, I would stay again.

Very warm and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was incredible . Very quiet. Great sleep. As a musician I've played all over the world but this is the most quiet place I have ever stayed. Excellent. Keep up the great work.

Unfortunately I suffer strong allergic reactions to dust... As soon as the heating came on in the room my face exploded, which suggests to me the room was quite dusty. I barely slept sadly. Once I opened the door and let fresh air in, my allergic reaction subsided a little. The room was dated and the decor drab but the bed was very comfortable. Rather annoyingly there is a bath but no hygiene products that can be used if one wants a bath. There was body wash in the shower and face wash above the sink, neither could be moved easily. The staff were fantastic. Would I stay again? I am. Not sure.

πŸ‘ Played at the weekend, championship course, really wet, a struggle in places. The weather has been terrible so it's no surprise but trolleys allowed and very busy. I suspect the course could do with a few days of rest from play. Nice layout but hazards a plenty so tough in difficult conditions. Love...
