Paid £20 for ticket for R&b brunch and not sure what for. The ‘free rum punch’ was cheap Malibu and orange, had to que for ages to get a small glass each time. It’s called a ‘brunch’ but no food. They did hand out menus to be able to buy food but these were then taken back and we were told they weren’t serving food at the brunch! DJ was terrible and was incapable of playing more than 30 seconds of a song before badly mixing to next tune, then repeated tunes after an hour. Absolute rip off. Advertising one thing then putting in T&Cs that they would not be providing what’s advertised. Toilets all wrecked and flooded too

Terrible service. Very popular night (AJ vs usk) and they did not have enough bar staff to serve the customers. Happily converse on this...drop me a message!

Disappointing Experience with Terrible Food and Rude Manager I recently visited Bierkeller and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The food quality was extremely disappointing, leaving a lot to be desired. The taste, presentation, and overall quality of the dishes fell short of expectations. To make matters worse, the manager's behavior was highly unprofessional. When a wrong order was served, the manager refused to exchange it, displaying a lack of customer service and empathy. Additionally, the manager took photos of our group without consent, which is a breach of privacy. Despite my request, the manager declined to provide her name or any contact details for the head office, making it difficult to address the issue further. Overall, my visit to Bierkeller was marred by terrible food and a rude manager who failed to rectify the situation or provide appropriate customer service. I hope that the company takes these concerns seriously and takes steps to improve both the quality of their food and the behavior of their staff. AVOID GIVING THIS COMPANY YOUR CUSTOM, THEY AVOID REFUNDING YOUR DEPOSITS. GIVE YOUR CUSTOM TO A LOCAL BAR/PUB WHO CARE ABOUT YOU VISITING. We had booked a large group booking for Saturday December 11th which was cancelled on Thursday 9th December due to a electrical fault, which is understandable. I had then been told on 9th December my refund had been processed, GREAT. On Saturday 11th i was sent a email to let me know i could rebook if we wanted, we declined as we made alternate plans and our refund had already been "processed" Ever since i declined the offer to rebook they have attempted to avoid contact and repayment, I was told it would take 14 days for a refund to show in my bank (unsure why it takes this long). 14 days have now passed and they're avoiding contact! I have looked online and have seen several people have experienced various issues regarding refunds. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THERE ARE PLENTY OF LOCAL PUBS/BARS WHO WOULD LOVE YOUR CUSTOM. DON'T USE A COMPANY WHO ACTIVELY TRY TO STEAL YOUR MONEY.

Do not eat here!!!! Been sat out back for 2 hours with food sat out back, some frozen (including brakes subs and skin on fries) and some not (including maple and bourbon bbq sauce) finally some took in which I imagine will the be put back in freezer. They’ve were sat before we arrived. Know these would have defrosted then put back in, imagine this isn’t the first time and people will ge food poisoning at some point!

Booked tickets to Abba Night, hosted internally by Bierkeller. Went to the venue and waited for an hour for the barriers to lift to access the Event Area. Bar staff then told us upon enquiry that the event has been cancelled because of low bar staff and "only three people booked a ticket anyway" (I was with a group of 10+ who had all purchased a ticket in advance.) Bierkeller did not update the event page on FIXR to indicate that the ABBA Event was cancelled, nor has anyone received a refund from the venue. I wouldnt've attended the venue last night if it wasn't for the ABBA Night, and the poor communication at the venue between customers and staff was very inadequate. On top of this, the toilet facilities in Bierkeller are very unhygienic. On the ground floor, the cubicles don't have a working lock and I had to use my foot to keep the cubicle door shut as I pooped. There were also no soap facilities in the bathroom. Last time I went to Taylor Swift Night, the bottom floor toilets also had broken locks. If I were a woman and these were the states of the women's bathroom, I would be ashamed. Will update my review once I receive a refund.

I attended Nottingham Bierkeller on the 11th March 2023 and I believe my experience wasn't pleasant considering it wasn't overly busy. We were greeted by the bouncers on the door, who I must say were the friendliest security staff I have ever come across who informed use where the football would be displayed. At the start of the Man City vs Crystal Palace match, approximately 2 minutes into the game we ordered our food which was a stone baked Margherita pizza, a Meat feast Pizza and Loaded Fries. Upon the half time of the match, my partner questioned the bar as to where the food was considering we had seen no food go out yet, including ours. At which the bar member replied with "I'll go and check on that for you". Straight away he went out the back and brought the food out to us which wasn't even warm and it was clear the food had been sat left cold, not even under a heat lamp to keep it warm. With this we had no napkins or condiments brought out either. The loaded fries I believe were approximately £8.00 for pulled pork which had maybe 4 strings of pulled pork, smothered in BBQ sauce and topped with crispy onions. I can't even justify this amount considering there are other venues at which you'd get a higher quality. I understand I'm talking about Bierkeller, yet the food was not even enjoyable. The staff didn't even check whether we were okay with the food, considering it had arrived late, and we didn't receive an apology either. I wouldn't mind yet as a student who is spending her wages in a venue and paying £28.00 for food, and a few rounds of soft drinks, I am disappointed.

I was in your establishment on Friday night and my nephew who has a disability was asked to leave by a short Asian doorman. When I challenged the doorman he dissappear and re appeared with leather gloves on Ready for war. I am absolutely shocked to your attitude towards someone who is disabled.

Average food, but good for soaking up booze. Some of the regional beers were not great. But the entertainment was a 10/10!

This venue is absolutely fantastic for a thrilling, enjoyable night out. We had an incredible time, dancing on the benches, surrounded by a lively atmosphere. The entertainment was top-notch, and the staff were delightful. I genuinely couldn't recommend this place enough. Sure, it cost a bit, but let me tell you, every penny was an investment in an unforgettable memory. It was a memorable experience that left everyone in high spirits. Can't wait to do it all again!

Very poor bar staff. Tall lady with purple hair. Tried to give me vodka and coke after I ordered rumb and coke. When I tried to let her know that is not what I ordered she was rude. Also tried to over charge me and would not give me a receipt when I asked. Very poor customer service from the tall lady with purple hair and I will not be returning

Had a brilliant night here last night! The bar staff were amazing! A lady called Amelia served me, service was very quick and she was so friendly!

Overall I enjoyed my experience here. Probably more like 3.5/5 but I thought 3 stars would be a bit harsh. Music was a bit naff towards the end with Grease-type music - but overall fun vibe with people running around talking to each other and having a fun time. Service was generally quick (especially as it got later).

I couldn't recommend this place enough for an amazing, fun, lively night out. We had the best time, dancing on the benches and everyone was in the best mood, entertainment was amazing. The staff were lovely, the cocktails were brilliant and such a big jug. It was well worth the money. I just wish I could do it every weekend. I can't wait to go again.

Girl in green top tonight was brilliant. I think she said her name's maize or Macy? The bar was busy busy and she was on alone but still served us all with a smile and in a timely manner. Drinks and atmosphere was brilliant! Fantastic place to drink

This place is so fun! On another night I'm sure I would have given five stars. Unfortunately we were booked to go to one of the Bavarian evenings in the basement bar, which was cancelled a week before. We decided to go anyway and they put our money behind the bar. None of the German beers were available that night (problem with the taps I think? The staff weren't very communicative) and the rugby was on which wasn't quite the vibe I'd hoped for. However, my family really enjoyed the food (nothing was marked gluten free on the menu so I'd eaten before), the cocktail steins were awesome, and once the DJ started, dancing on the benches was epic. Definitely somewhere to revisit.

Kicked out by the ten pound an hour brain-dead door staff for dancing on the table which wasn't allowed but everyone else was dancing on tables so slightly confused good job really could of spent an absolute fortune in there. Took my money and got ripped off elsewhere

We didn’t know what to expect but we had an absolutely brilliant night. The staff were helpful and sorted out a rather over exuberant stag do behind us. They broke there steins smashing them together and four pints of beer went everywhere. The security watched over them and eventually had to kick them out as they were spoiling everyone else enjoyment. The security were were professional and gave the lads a few chances before they were asked to leave. The. Show was awesome they were funny and the singers was amazing - we really enjoyed dancing and singing along. One of the entertainers came over and thanked us for just carrying on and enjoy their show - how could we not? They made sure the atmosphere and fun carried on throughout the night- a real credit to the entertainment team. A big thank you! Definitely going to go again. Ladies trainers all the way dancing on the benches is a must! X

The security guard was super friendly and persuaded us to come in - and we're glad we did! Nice chicken wings and good layout to watch sport.

Myself and my friend came in for drinks last Friday night. We asked for double spirit and mixer with the student deal, I believe this was meant to be £3.75. We never got asked for proof, I assume the bar tender just took our word for it and believed us. However, we did have proof which we would have been happy to show. I was charged the correct price, however my friend was charged around £12 for the two drinks. This was an honest mistake, it happens, no fault of the original bartender who served us. My friend questioned this and she apologised and said next time she could get a cheaper drink the next time due to the overcharge. My friend then went up, to be shouted at rudely by a blonde woman, hair half up, half down in a black long sleeved top. My friend calmly explained the other bartender stated she could get the cheaper drink, however ignored this and kept insisting she had to prove she was a student, despite never being asked to show proof in the first place. My friend also tried to explain that I had been charged cheaper for the student deal but wasn’t having any of it and continued to rudely shout at my friend saying proof should have been provided. We were happy to do this if we were asked to. I also appeared to notice her glaring at the two of us and whispering to another bartender. Working in retail myself, I believe she was extremely unprofessional and rude and clearly isn’t working in the right job if she thinks treating customers like this is acceptable. It didn’t ruin our night as such and we would still return as the bar is a good atmosphere and the rest of the staff working there were all brilliant. However, I believe this one staff member needs a bit of customer service training

While watching the match on their very good screens, you're offered table service. Cool. But when your drink hasn't arrived for 15 mins, you go to the bar "Oh sorry, we forgot". No worries, this happens, but that pizza we ordered is also on its way? "Absolutely". Twenty five minutes later: no food. Got refund, but no apologies. Lost a group of customers permanently

Completely different experience to other Bierkeller’s. Booked in Nottingham for a stag party, despite the website saying ‘you’ll be stomping your feet all evening to the catchy beats, tubas and trombones of our resident in-house Oompah band, the Stompin’ Steiners’…there was no band!!!! Two people singing, no band, no tuba’s, just a dj.

  • 3/5 Elaine P. 1 year ago on Google
Sat 20 minutes waiting for our ticket price drink 🍺 bit of dj music good. Then some people, we could not see or hear came on and did a show. We joined in by watching tables in front of us. At a point general public were allowed downstairs and we got pushed off our table by a stag grdancing on the benches.

Good place to watch sporting events but wasn’t a fan of the pitchers and a lot of the menu wasn’t available

  • 2/5 Ellie R. 1 year ago on Google
I asked for a student deal, she put it through the till wrong and said if I went back she’d charge me less. Went back and explained and this other woman was shouting at me, a lady with blonde hair, tied up half down, saying I need proof of being a student which I had ample proof of. Poor customer service, taking advantage of customers under the influence, unacceptable.

Entertainment was spot on everything else was adequate at best. "Sliders" = Joke - slow service, snack food: Pulled pork burger or 5% Warmed pulled pork, 55% broche bun, 40% Coleslaw and all one mouth full.bIf your luck you might get 2. Naked chicken wings deep fried about 2 each, a smidge of dip between everybody. Random sausage in sauce not brat/bock/currywurst, as may be expected. Not even enough for everybody to have one. Beers = Random cheap lager or Warsteiner by the stein, poor and expensive. Best bet go upstairs for a full selection of drinks at the sports bar. Asked why are we all here what's the occasion by the staff members running a German theme Bierkeller in October with Laderhosen worn by most. I think a bit if work is needed to help support the entertainers by providing better food and drink. Currently not worth the ticket price.

Fun and vibey. My only issue was the time it took to get a drink was very long And the music was mentally taxing, abrasive and cheesy 🧀 old pop rock 🪨. And saw somone throw up a tremendous amount in a stein cup.

I can’t remember the name of the lovely friendly girl who served me a few times tonight but you were one of the only girls on the bar on the ground floor and you had a genuine smile and seemed to actually care about making people happy. I was in a bad place tonight so your friendly service was all the more appreciated. Enjoy the vodka lemonade!

I went when the octoberfest thing was on, and I thought it was brilliant. There's student steins for £5.50 (the cocktails are very spoons pitchers vibes - which I liked). It wasn't packed when we went as it was a Thursday night but they had everyone linking arms and up on the tables. We left at 11pm ish and was a great time - all round good night and good fun. A good night that doesn't have to go on till gone 1am.

The place in general is okay and it’s probably one of the best places to go to watch live sport in Nottingham. That said the place is let down by it’s service and what I assume is a rotating bar staff as a bartender in the past fundamental rule I’d to ask who is next, don’t speak up it’s your fault. However waiting 15 minutes for one pint as people serve more belligerent customer who have pushed I and shout is just a poor experience in general for myself and others who experienced it. A simple question but could make a massive change.

I really vibrant places to have drinks at. Now called Shooter's. Nice clean bar to go to, drinks are good and all staff friendly. Got pool tables, which you pay by app on the wall. Brilliant for small and big groups of people. On the day I went, took a long time to be served, and staff were trying to service and sort out the barrel change over, so took for ever, but this did no spoil the evening out. Recommend visiting
