Nice place to visit with family or 🐕, distance around the lake 3.5 miles. Quite, clean, lots of ducks and squirrels. Entry fee £5 per head. I was on Wednesday, lots of spaces for your 🚗. Easy walk around with ice cream 🍦 break 1h45m. Recommended

This has to be one of the best national trust places I've been to. It has so much. The only draw back, it's very busy at weekends!!! Go during the week and you have yourself a lovely day out. Adults are £5.50 each, national trust members are free. It covers 3800 acres. Tickets are bought at the kiosk on the way in. Here you'll find- Several cafes 2nd hand book store A gift shop Toilets A garden house ( kitchen garden ) An discovery centre ( great for children ) A large lake ( you can walk around it ) Cycle hire Forest walks Old stables A church ( Chapel of St.Mary ) Although most of it is primarily outside, there are a few indoor buildings too. Great for a day out, especially if its dry weather. I definitely recommend, but go early !!!!!

Lovely place to walk around. Plenty of options for trails. Dog thoroughly enjoyed herself. Central Bark Cafe was great with being able to go in with the dog, something you can rarely do at places you visit. Loses a star for the cost of entry really, £5 per adult seems steep for just grounds etc to walk in, would put us off visiting regularly if local. Food places also somewhat expensive but I kind of expected that, maybe best to take a picnic as a family, there are plenty of benches in the main areas.

Lovely place to walk. We did a 4 mile walk around the lake which took us somewhere between 2-3 hours. Could be finished in 1.5 hour without breaks I guess… They have cafe, public toilets which are nice and clean and second hand book shop with good choice of books in a good order for a little money. This money goes towards maintenance of the park so it’s for a good cause… Environment is beautiful and it’s definitely worth of visit. Entry fee for adult is £5. You can buy a membership which gives you free entry to roughly 500 national trusts sites to explore… it was around £130+ a year if I remember right. You can apply on site in hours. It’s also dog friendly… It’s easily accessible from main road towards Worksop. It’s suitable for kids, parents with prams and wheelchair users.

Never been to this park before. Went on a glorious sunny day, which makes all the difference. A 5 mile plus walk round the beautiful lake. Then tea and cake outside one of the cafes. Very busy, but plenty of loos provided so that was good news for the ladies. Well worth a visit.

Wow, what an amazing place, there is so much to see and do. The estate is massive with loads of walking options. There's a lovely walled garden with some lovely plants and green house. Plenty of parking with a really nice cafe. The toilets were being refurbished when I was there so there was portable loos instead.

We went for a few hours out with the children and fur baby and had an amazing time! So many nice walks, plenty of photo opportunities along every route too! Dog friendly the whole way around which is always a massive plus point for me! The fun station set up for the holidays got a massive thumbs up from all three of my minions and the hay barrels seemed to massively please my little fur child 😂🙌 it’s a shame we went so late and couldn’t stay longer, we will definitely return again and go earlier to make the most of it 👌🌳 Make sure you’ve plenty of space on your phone or camera as I know that personally, well I couldn’t go longer than 5 mins without finding a photo opportunity for the gang 📸

Had a very enjoyable stroll in the amazingly well maintained park. Was glad to see fellow park enthusiasts being kind and courteous, not leaving a mess or disturbing the wild life. My favorite national park that I visit when I have time, even if it is a journey to get there. Would highly encourage any skeptics to enjoy the great outdoors!

Very large park with many routes to follow if you look on National Trust website. There are none signposted around the park though. Dog friendly, even in gift shop. Entrance fee to non members is £5 each which includes parking. Pay by card to person at gate. We did the 6.5 mile route which includes the woods, lake and countryside. Beautiful place, would definitely visit again.

Beautiful location for walking and biking. You can hire bicycles on-site. There's an excellent cafe, and numerous places to stop and grab a drink. They have doggy ice-cream! The gigantic greenhouse is astounding, and doubles-up as a small local life museum. Grade 1 listed buildings all-around. Perfect place to come for gardening inspiration, and for musing over the waterway.

Great place to spend some time outdoors. Lots of paths for gentle strolls in the the woodland. Beautifully maintained and the gardens are stunning. There is a children's play area with a coffee van, café and toilets. There's a small fee for entering the visitor area unless you're a member of the National Trust. My children can't wait to go back for a picnic. We could only spend a few hours here and I have a feeling I've only just scratched the surface and there is plenty more to see and do.

Ideal for long walks or bicycle ride. Spacious car park. Garden centre impressive. You can help yourself with fruits and veg and pay a recommended fee as a donation. Further down you get a restaurant and a gift shop. The lake is huge and you can walk all the way round.

Plenty of different walks to do. We walked around the lake which is 5 miles but a stopping point half way around for a refreshing drinks was very welcomed. It was very accessible for all. Not much cover around the main shop and cafe area.

With the better weather it was time to get the bikes out and have a ride round the lake at clumber park ,what a great way to get some exercise and see a lovely place. The work the National trust is amazing cannot thank them enough. Will definitely be back here again

Lovely walk and time at climber park today. Busy but did not feel crowded. Lake was a decent walk 4 miles with mostly flat even surface. Parking was free. It cost £5.50 for none national trust members. Very enjoyable day out.

What a wonderful place and the perfect trip down memory lane. I have been visiting this beautiful country park for almost 50 years and yet every single time it never ceases to inspire and delight me. The National Trust have done a wonderful job of preserving this stunning outdoor scenic oasis, complete with an amazing Victorian walled garden, greenhouse, church and house. Huge amount of space, so many walks for all abilities. Eateries, shop, buildings to explore, lake, woods, open spaces it simply has it all. Great cycle tracks and hire too. Make a visit you won't be disappointed.

Great place for cycling and family day out. Blue and orange trails were easily found and very enjoyable. Very dog friendly. Only negative is the bike lock next to toilets isn't secure (the metal isn't secured to the ground!) So someone could easily lift up the frame and slide off the bikes.

  • 5/5 Matt H. 5 months ago on Google
One of the best parks the National Trust look after. Hardly any litter well maintained and looked after footpaths and trails ! Dog friendly with dog friendly cafe. Lots to do and see all year round for kids and adults.

Such a beautiful place to visit whatever the weather. We came on a lovely autumnal Sunday with two dogs to stretch our legs and enjoy some fresh air. Lots of different walking routes to take, and doesn't feel busy even though the car parks were busy. We went to the little food and drink hut near the gift shop and enjoyed the loveliest spiced cauliflower pasty and hot chocolate. The only down side is that there is not enough seating around the park for those of us who need a regular rest but enjoy walking

I've always loved visiting Clumber Park throughout all seasons year after year. But recently I've really noticed all the positive changes they've made to enhance the experience, from the large stunning planters around the visitor centre area, to the colourful wild flower garden and the amazing pop up family fun activities (which has been very carefully planned with great imagination and attention to detail) and the walk through the courtyard under the clock to the natural meadow with just the mowed pathways, to name but a few. Brilliant!! Highly recommend for all ages ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is an enormous park, with a variety of wooded and open areas, great for relatively level cycling and walking. There’s a bicycle hire centre with a good variety of bikes, including child trailers and seats (and child-size bikes). The cafe is ok, standard National Trust: expensive with limited choice and long queues. Decent facilities otherwise and lots of areas to visit, including a chapel, very large walled garden and greenhouse (pics are from a summer trip there)

With 3800 acres of parkland, lakes & gardens with cafes. great walks, cycling, cycle hire, children's play area. A huge avenue which is epic to drive down there is much to do. The place differs throughout the seasons. Check out National Trust Clumber park.

I bring my grandsons here every year to go cycling round the park. The cycle hire is great and reasonably priced. Easy parking and lots of space if you want it. There are lots of games and activities provided for the younger children. I'm an NT member so I have no idea if it is good value. A great day out.

Amazing space with 3 miles of planted Lime trees amazing walled garden and massive lake. Good walks and cycle hire . Must visit place in s beautiful part of UK

Clumber Park has it all. The traditional NT offering but lots to explore on foot or by bike. A walk around the Pleasure Gardens and lake a delightful setting. Stunning wild flowers in the main courtyard. Excellent ice cream in the cafe. The walled garden is outstanding, the glasshouse is huge with lots of figs and grapes, The Store area inside is adorned with dried flowers, with seeds and produce to buy. The sale of freshly picked vegetables in the garden was really welcomed. Easy access and lots of space for parking. Somewhere you can spend all day and great for a picnic or meeting friends/family.

A lovely place for a walk with plenty of space for a BBQ and picnic. Good facilities and shops and big enough for everyone. The carpark appeared very full but thankfully the park is so spread out you hardly notice the amount of people that are there.

Lovely place with so many pretty walks and a very welcoming cafe!! Dog friendly for the most part, we came for the food festival last weekend in one of the fields which was incredible!! However even for a day out walking round the lake and exploring the area it’s great fun for all ages

  • 5/5 Mel S. 9 months ago on Google
Clumber park is a fantastic place for a family day out. There are a variety of trails suitable for all the family. There are paths that are buggy friendly that take you around the lake and around the wider park. Cafe serves a range of delicious treats. Recently attended the youth access day which focused on climate change. The event allowed free access to a range of events which the children loved.

This place is absolutely massive. If you love hiking/walking then this is right up your street. Very popular with dog walkers aswell. National trust so you have to pay to get in.... but not expensive. There are 3 places to eat whilst inside. As you would expect food and drink is not that cheap but service is good and quite speedy. We arrived just after midday so couldn't explore too much. We plan on going again and getting in early to make the most out of a whole day as the kids loved it just running around like lunatic out in the open....would need to watch the littler ones around the river/lake(which is enormous), but stunning views. You can rent bikes while your there, which makes getting around easier and quicker...or take your own There are plenty of places to just sit and relax with a picnic etc..... plenty of places to grab water from for dogs. Well kept and clean. Would definitely recommend for a family day out

Such a beautiful (and vast!) Park! Really impressive. So much to see and great to walk around on a sunny day. I was really impressed with how well kept the park was. The Walled Kitchen Gardens were stunning as well as the main area itself. The Chapel is also beautiful and peaceful. Well worth the small admission fee to witness such beauty. Great day out! ❤️😁🙌

Absolutely stunning visit in glorious sunshine. So much space to explore. Loved the walk around the very large lake. A very chilled out family friendly place to walk, cycle, picnic or just chill. Loved the kitchen garden too.

Great place for all the family walking biking or just a chill out and the cafe is good too

  • 4/5 Sarah K. 1 year ago on Google
This place is beautiful. We spent most of the day there and we look forward to going back again to explore more of the park. The place really is huge. The lake is stunning and was full of small and very large fish, swans and some ducks. The park is well maintained, the church is pretty, the kitchen garden is lovely and the children's play area is great for letting the children run around. We ate in the main restaurant (which does a small selection of Gluten Free food) and the food came out lovely, hot and fresh and all the staff we talked to were really helpful and friendly. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because finding a toilet with toilet roll in it was like finding gold. Precious and rare.

This was our first visit to clumber after moving here 4 years ago Great entrance long drive to the car park The hire bike area was not open at 10.25 when we arrived We wanted go for the walled garden first unfortunately for us and an elderly couple there was no signage to the walled garden even when we made it to Central Bark the dog friendly cafe the naps where also not very good as the direction sent you toward the public toilets which was a dead end Once we had found the garden it was very nice, neat tidy and volunteers working away .... no free seeds available The walk around the lake very nice just lacking poo bins as they were very widely spread Found a little coffee area half way round the lake so was nice to sit and have a scone and tea before completing the walk just over 5 miles walked Plenty if people with their dogs Nice little walk / day out and if weather is nice to sit and have a picnic

Brilliant place for cycling and walking. Have been going for year's. We used to stay at the caravan club site. But this year we stayed at the Clumber lodges which were great. Unfortunately the bridge over the ford is closed, however they are to reopen at the end of September I believe.

Pleasant and plentiful grounds. Probably best if you are able to walk or cycle large distances. Would benefit from better signposting and maps.

👍👍 Lovely place to go walking and you can take dogs with you. The car park is large and there's always been plenty of spaces free when I've visited. There's a cafe here though I've yet to try it. There are various walks to do. The nature reserve is situated just outside Retford.
