Visited this amazing place today. Listened to a personal account from a holocaust survivor. Very moving indeed. They have managed to cram a great deal into a small place, both internally and outside. I was very impressed at how they educate our youngsters of the horrendous outcome of the nazis hatred towards the Jews, Gypsies and other unfortunate people prior to and during WW2, who did not meet Adolf Hitler's warped idea of having a superior race. A must place to visit.

It's a sobber place to visit but a need to go place to see what happened during 1923 to 1945,the vist centre is a must for the younger people who don't believe that this happened. The centre is brilliant with interactive displays and pieces from those who survived. £10 for a ticket but lasts for 12 months, beautiful gardens to sit and enjoy, nice cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff where brilliant, would highly recommend that you go there.

An extremely moving experience. The horror of the holocaust is portrayed in a way that draws you in to absorb as much information as you can as you wind your way around the exhibition. The gardens of reflection are a peaceful and beautiful area to pay tribute to all those people whose lives were so cruelty cut short by pure evil.

I feel a bit guilty putting I loved the experience, on such saddening, disturbing historical events. The centre is a seriously need experience, to teach and hopefully learn from such tragic cruelty. We arrived to a good sized carpark, suitable for cars, vans and buses. We were guided to were they'd like us to park with a smile. On parking we walked to and through the memorial gardens. Which was full of a variety of roses and plaque's with information to read. We entered the building through a small gift shop (which helps fund the centre as well). We'd booked our experience online and were surprised that we had a ticket for a year of returns. We spent two and a half hours in the next part and were absolutely mind blown with the vastness of information, much of which I had no idea had ever happened. We retreated to the coffee shop for gorgeous cake and beverages. We were ever told of how those supply business ( small companies) contributed back to the funding of the centre. We decided that we felt we needed to head home and digest some of the things to had learnt from our trip and return together for another episode. So a few things to say, watch this space for our/my next review and honestly what a fantastic place to be privileged to visit, with amazingly knowledgeable staff, prepared to help whenever needed ( even in the cold winter garden at this time of year). Looking forward to the next visit for the knowledge I will experience. Thank you.

Words don't come easily to explain this centre. If it was any other subject you might say that you enjoyed your time there, but the subject matter means out of respect you can't really say that. Every time we visit you learn or appreciate the scale of the atrocities that occurred, coming away intrigued and investigating visiting Auschwitz to expand our understanding further. While the world repeats histories mistakes it makes you realise how lucky you are to be alive and sympathise with the unfortunate families who suffered. A very sobering and thought provoking location. I certainly will be a repeat visitor.

This Holocaust Museum is so interesting but devastating at the same time. Nothing can really make you realise what the tortured people went through. This Museum gives you a small insight to the conditions and the way people treated. Only 45 minutes drive from Sheffield. Definitely worth a visit. You will need at least 2 hours to get the full benefit so you can, read. Watch video footage. Visit the souvenir shop and buy interesting books. Then visit the onsite cafe to rest and have a good think of what you have just visited.

Memory of the Jews who perished in the genocide. This should not happen again, the whole reasonable world repeats, but unfortunately, now such a crime is happening again in my country, in Ukraine. The world should not have silent, the bitter memory of history is enough for you!

I had no idea there was a national holocaust museum in the UK. One that when you enter you immerse in the life experiences of the time. Such a poignant and intense experience of the history of WWII. Everyone should visit this place to learn and never forget history.

An excellent and informative centre providing education. Well presented exhibitions that show what life was like during WWII and the impact of holocaust following on.

Very informative, worth visiting to show history to children. It only focuses on Jews but still worth it as knowledge-packed. Beautiful garden memorial and nife cafe with good cakes and affordable drinks. Also souvenirs and books available at a good price.

Considering the gravity and seriousness of the topic, the museum is a wonderfully peaceful building. It contains many creative and artistic insights into the suffering and pain the victims had to endure, giving the site an almost sacred atmosphere. The centre serves as a haunting reminder of the evils mankind is capable of, but also plays a part in motivating us to prevent horrors as such from repeating.

An amazing experience, learned so much about this time in history that was not taught in school. Very much worth the visit, the museum is full of so much information and artifacts, having the opportunity to listen to a survivor speak about thier experience is an honour to attend.

The place itself is very interesting but anyone with mobility issues needing a wheelchair some of the corridors are quite narrow and is difficult to negotiate. There is a disability car park but again this is quite a tight zone. There is a internal mobility lift to get to lower level.

I took the time to walk round this place. To see pictures of what was done to members of the Jewish faith is upsetting but you can't change history. What Germany did at the time is still not really understood. All we can hope is that in time we all find peace.

Very knowledgeable tour guides who made a difficult topic easy for the young people to get involved with and add to their understanding. Good use of questioning and the journey was well received by all. Good amount of artefacts and digital material. A little more interactivity during the Holocaust Survivor videos would have been much appreciated. Really powerful message adding stones to the pile.

What a wonderful place to visit. We spent 3 hours here with a coffee and cake break. We didn't get to see it all so will go back. All areas are wheelchair accessible.

Lovely little place, spent a few hours here. I imagine the gardens look even nicer in pure summer. Very informative little museum/centre. Would recommend to go at least once, and can return for free within a year providing you keep the receipt.
