If I could give it 1 star, I would. I'm an outdoor activity instructor, so I do appreciate all of the activities that are put on here. However, the accommodation was a shambles and certainly not worth the ยฃ74 per night they were charging. I knew I would be arriving late, so I called in advance to find out what the latest check in time was, and was told not to worry as there was a 24hour recepion. It took 20minutes to find someone to check me in. I was told very little, I was told that breakfast would be 6.30 til 7.30 (Sunday morning), and the wifi code. Got to the room, and it was more akin to a hostel. If I was competing in a kayaking competition, and the whole team was staying, then this accommodation would actually make sense. But as someone that wanted a place to stay in Nottingham, this was clearly a very poor choice. Flat screen tv was 15inches, and could barely be seen. Springs of the bed prodded through me most of the night. Despite having 2 pillows, they were so thin had to do some origami style folding to make them usable. I could hear pigeons cooing for most of the night, they were clearly either outside the window or on the roof above. I reluctantly wake up ready for the breakfast, as I do love a good breakfast. I walk in and find, despite there being a couple of breakfast menus indicating bacon, etc. It was merely continental breakfast and not a good one. The bread for toast was still frozen and soggy. The juice was cordial/squash. The fruit was definitely not fresh, and the pain au chocolates were stale and in packets. Definitely not worth getting out of bed for. I was the only person at breakfast, and I could understand why. I think when you pay for a hotel stay with breakfast, you do deserve a lot better than this. Or at least tell me that it's a bare bones continental breakfast the night before so I dont purposefully wake up at the crack of dawn for the utter disappointment that is this breakfast. Teas, coffees, squash, a basket of fruit, frozen soggy bread for toast, some cereals, jam, butter, nutella and stale packets of pain au chocolates were all that were on offer. As far as continental breakfasts go, it was pretty dismal. If you compare it to camping, it's not bad. But certainly not worth ยฃ74 a night. If you compare it to most other hotels, it's certainly not even close to worth it. Save your money and book literally anywhere else.

Two things let this hotel down one can't really be rectified which is the prison cell rooms, infact I've since been told by someone who's had the privilege to go prison that these rooms were indeed smaller. The TV if you can call it that looks like one of those used for corner shops CCTV in the year 1990 really it's tiny! Viewing angle is tragic, the sound is so tinny better you just not switch it on. Getting into the shower is a squeeze and once in you can't really clean yourself you arms hit the wall and the doors. The second thing that lets this place down is the fact the whole building is laced in spiders so big I haven't seen David Attenborough cover these yet. I came into the hotel at night and saw webs covering every window and the entrance all over every window really frightening of course if you are scared of such insects in your room. When I got to my room the lights outside project a shadow on everything on the window and let's just say the white wall was moving, creepy scenes! You can't open the window at night because they keep coming in, tiny baby ones and then the huge ones that have bodies as big as your thumb nail! If it's a comfortable stay your after probably not here. The staff however were all very very friendly no issues there.

Cannot be better, staff are friendly and helpful. Room is rather basic but clean and tidy, it looks more or less like an uni dorm :-) breakfast included. There is a place on the ground floor pretty spacious with tables and chairs for family and friends to relax and share, vending machines nearby for coffee, confectionary and cola. Free parking with plenty of space. Highly recommended for a short stay, enjoy the beautiful park as well. There are many facilities nearby including e-gun combat, cycling... Breakfast is also up to par. The only issue is that the room sound insulation is not sufficient, people shutting doors and talking loud in the corridor would become pretty annoying.

If you come to staying here no surprise will see a lot of spiders๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ family ๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ in your room 2014. You should avoid this place and the room not clean at all.

Gorgeous surroundings: staff were friendly and very helpful. The room itself was comfortable, but there were a couple of downsides: the decor was a little grubby, with dirty handprints on the walls, and a few spots the duster and vacuum missed. My biggest issue was the shower. Firstly the door did not close fully, so the water escaped out into the bathroom floor: and secondly, I'm a bigger woman, and the doors, even fully open, made access extremely tight and awkward

I thought my room was excellent value for money and I used the gym which was free for residents. My favourite piece of equipment is the cross trainer or stepper as I managed to do the equivalent of 4km going uphill in 20 minutes and I used 100 calories. There were a great many other modern pieces of equipment with a sports trainer on hand too. I can see negative reviews about cleanliness but I feel it was clean and comfortable. There were spiders outside the windows but they were not inside my room as they obviously hadn't booked in.

This hotel has a great view of the rowing course nearby. It offers single and twin room only so it is not that really for family trips here. Please also note that they do not provide hair-dryer here so you need to bring you own one.

Great place to stop off. Booked a single room and was clean, comfortable and fairly priced. Free gym access and plenty more to do in the area especially a nice walk around the lake and woodlands. Also very friendly staff.

It's a really fun location to drive to - after a load of one way roads, tram roads and traffic lights, going down a road at national limit with open bends and low traffic is amazing. However, the rooms themselves are tiny. They serve their purpose as somewhere to sleep and shower, but they do not make for the most comfortable night's sleep.

Stayed overnight at the accommodation. Room was very bedsit ish and the towels were on the thin side. No air conditioning just open the window or use the wall mounted electric heater! Breakfast was good, plenty of choose from a full English to the more healthier option of cereals and yoghurts.

Great place, only had a single room which was small, but adequate and clean with tea/coffee . Breakfast was included and was of a high standard as was the Gym facilities which was the main reason for the stay. Negatives: banging door (reception)? Strong smell of cigarettes on landing at top of stairs. Room 2009.

Don't stay here!!!!!!!! Room's are so small tv, s even smaller like there towels, drafty windows i had to put towels around them to stop the wind as bed directly under them. Probably the smallest room ive stayed in, also no restaurant or bar in the place even though signs say they have, miles from any shops. Just don't bother realy a much better place not far away, Marsdens pub highly recommended

๐Ÿ‘ Played at the weekend, championship course, really wet, a struggle in places. The weather has been terrible so it's no surprise but trolleys allowed and very busy. I suspect the course could do with a few days of rest from play. Nice layout but hazards a plenty so tough in difficult conditions. Love...
