Our favorite local State Park for any season of the year! Excellent walking trails, paved or through the woods. Bring your dog 🐶, they love it! Bring your bike 🚲 & ride on the paved trails or wooded bike trail off of the Beck Rd entrance. You can fish too with the kids off the docks (near the Beck rd entrance). Ride horses in the summer or cross country ski in the winter.

I am a regular here because of the easy access and ample parking. My usual visit is for a three mile hike through its rolling, wooded terrain — a nice break from the gym or walking in the neighborhood. This place is large. I have not learned all of the walking paths; there are many! This park is the site of a past Sanitarium. The beautiful grounds contain signage of the old buildings and the history is quite interesting. This gem is absolutely beautiful. There’s something for everyone: picnic tables and shelters, extensive hiking trails that are well marked, mountain bike trails, paved walk/ride paths, play set and petting zoo for kids, pond/fishing, horses for hire. The paved trails are wide, smooth, and highly accessible; my mom really enjoyed this place with her motorized scooter. Parking is ample. Requires a state park permit. Or better yet, pay an up-charge to support your parks when you renew your license plate tabs so that you can enter without a hassle. If you like this review, please click on the Helpful button.

While not the best State Park in Michigan, it certainly is a neat little place. It is also one of the only few State Parks in Wayne County. When I visited, I was getting off of work in late October and it was very nice out, in the upper 70s. It was in the peak of autumn and the leaves were changing colors. I found that to be very pleasant as I hiked through the trails. There were a lot of nice bike trails here. I found that to be one of this park's strong attributes. I saw that there was a pumpkin patch with a little gift shop by it. This may be the petting zoo during the warmer months. Like many other other state parks, Maybury had a nice playground, picnic areas and pavilions for people to hang out and have parties or things of such. The most popular thing at this State Park appears to be the horseback riding. While I did not ride any horses when I was here, I did see signs. And by reading the reviews, I can see that riding a horse is the thing to do. Overall, I couldn't give this State Park 5 stars because it just can't compare to some of the others in the state. But for the area, it certainly is quite a nice place. It is somewhat festive with what they have to offer. The biking trails are one of this park's strong suits. They also have horseback riding and a petting zoo.

What a beautiful gem in Michigan. I went with friends in fall this year and it was like a magical forest! Beautiful big trees with leaves covering the entire ground! Great for biking as the trails are sturdy and wide. Walk up to the fishing pond for a beautiful view, read a book or eat lunch! Lots of parking near the trailhead.

This is my “go-to”. Multiple trails to hike and bike. Perfect place for a leisurely walk. I heard it called the enchanted forest once. I absolutely love this place .

Beautiful park!! I used the track chair for persons with mobility issues, and it was phenomenal! I'm a large woman, and it handled me easily. My guide was Barb from Friends of Maybury, and she was incredible. There are miles of trails. Highly recommended!!

Such a beautiful park 😍 It's lush and has an amazing trail. The pictures don't do justice to the awesomeness of this park. One can BBQ, walk, bike or just explore the park. If you get lucky you get to see chipmunks, squirrels, geese, bunnies and some pretty birds.

Probably one of the nicest state parks I've ever been to. Very well maintained. Separate trails for walking, biking, and horseback riding. Very nice playground equipment. Plaques along the trail describing local plants and animals.

Found this wonderful place to visit. They have long walking trails. The most amazing was the mountain bike trails. You can also fish in the pond. Will visit frequently.

The fall scenery is very impressive! A great place to see fall leaves! Unfortunately, the restrooms were closed after October 22 and the portable toilets were also closed. We had to drive to nearby restaurant to use restrooms.

This is a beautiful park. We went to walk the trails for Mother’s Day. There was quite a bit of trash in the marsh of the lake but other than that it’s a very nice park. They have a playground on one side that my kids love to visit after a nice trail walk.

I absolutely love Maybury State Park! I bring my dogs here to walk all the time. I love that there are so many different loops you can take, short and long, paved, flat, and easy through the woods and a nice, more hilly path through the woods and around the lake. Beautiful park, well maintained, nice bathrooms no matter what part of the park you're in. Highly recommend it!

Great State Park that had very accessible trails that were smooth. The walking trails of course. Very nice biking and horse trails also so feel free to bring your horse! Or bicycle.. bathrooms don't open until April 2022 doesn't say exactly when just April. They closed October 22nd. Beautiful scenery even for March. Definitely coming back in the summer when the trees get there leaves. Would also be beautiful in the fall. Dog friendly also there was a lot of dogs. There was a single porta potty by the first parking lot when you come in thankfully. Looking forward to more wildlife during the summer season also.

Great place to see the fall colors in the Northville area. Plenty of parking space available. They have shelters available for gatherings. You can walk or bike in the trails which is few miles in length. There are mountain biking trails and horse trails.

So beautiful. My sister and I walked most of the trails and it was about 6 miles. They have poop bags for dog owners, bike stations to fill up or fix your bike, water fountains, and bathrooms at the start of the trails. Benches and maps are scattered throughout the trails. Most trails are paved and very open easy to push the stroller through.

Beautiful and serene atmosphere, nice area for kids to enjoy & petting farm. Horse & Pony rides on weekends, mountain bike trails, and running trails are clearly marked

I love this park; it has a lot of trail options, it is close to home, and there are great hills and views. The only reason I gave it four-stars is because not all of the trails are clearly marked. I use all-trails to map my route so I don’t have any issues now but when I first visited, I got a little lost.

Beautiful place to bike ride or walk. Unfortunately my children's father had a heart attack here, age 53, and passed. We come here for him. He loved this park and he loved bike riding in the trails.

Awesome biking trails as well as hiking trails. For a novice mountain biker, this is a great place to learn as it provides a good challenge. There are some good flows, nice obstacle, challenging climbs, and some fast downhills. As well as some log rollers, rock gardens, and one or two skinny's, enough to practice on as you get a feel for the sport. For the more experienced rider, you can knock out 2 laps easily and feel like you got a good ride in.
