I strongly recommend going on the observation deck in the Palace of Culture and Science while visiting Warsaw. The view is truly stunning. The tickets are quite cheap and there's no time limit on the top. The lift is quite fast, but even the short queue (~25 people) took us like 20 minutes to get to the lift. I recommend checking busyness on google maps before visiting.

Unmissable striking building. Saw it upon exiting the central train station. It's one of the most communist Soviet buildings I've ever seen. Nice square in front to get some pictures

Loved that building on my trip to Warsaw. Very impressive architecture style and dimensions. Nice photo subject at day and night. I recommend to go to the viewing platform in the evening while it's sunset and blue hour.

There is a nice tour you can take for 40 zloti. They offer tours in English and Polish. It lasts about 45 minutes and includes entry to the viewing deck at the top. The tour is really informative and the building is beautiful. It's a great way to spend the afternoon.

Very beautiful sightseeing point on Warsaw. From the top you wont see historical part of the city but you will see skyscrapers of the city and surrounding area. Incredibly long time on Sunday to get to the top due to many people…30-60 min waiting. Price is 25 zloty per person.

A really stunning piece of architecture that stands out from all around the city. If you get the opportunity to go to the top I would recommend it. Despite the snow meaning visibility was poor it was still a great experience at an incredibly cheap price.

Some Polish people do not like the building because it is made by Russian. However, It is a building that has become one of the symbols of Warsaw. As far as I know, it contains many things, from a library to a swimming pool. Tourists can also go to the terrace and enjoy the view of Warsaw. The terrace entrance is only 5 euros or less.

Nice architecture/building in the middle of Warsaw, nearby the central station. The location is just perfect. The surrounding area is nice to walk around and even to visit inside and go up for panoramic view. Ticket is very reasonable, the view of Warsaw from above is amazing. Many restaurants/shops are nearby and next to this palace is a shopping mall. Get there early to avoid long queue but it should be fine.

(Translated by Google) The Palace of Culture and Science, as a building in my opinion, is an extremely ugly building. The very architecture of this something, apart from the fact that it does not fit into its surroundings, still resembles the times of international, fervent neighborly friendship between fraternal nations. The only thing is that it somehow looks in the pictures. And the observation deck itself can be fun to observe Warsaw. No i sam taras widokowy może sprawić frajdę w obserwacji Warszawy.

Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw Visited on 28/9/2019 It is a pity that my tour group have very jam-pack schedule and do not have time to visit this building to give a detailed review. We arrive late in the evening, and most members go separate way after dinner. From far across the road, I can see this magnificent building lit up in purply blue, a rather mystic colour, in the dark background. The building was originally known as the Joseph Stalin's Palace of Culture and Science is and is the second tallest building in Poland.

Lovely looking Tower, given to the Polish from Stalin as a gift back in the day..... Nowadays its a cultural marker in a modern city surrounded by nice and shiny high rise office towers.........its still holds its elegance well, and is a beautiful building to look at from below. Going to the top, or at least some of the way to the top, one has to queue a little as its busy....... and with only one lift working on the day.....it did take half an hour to first buy a ticket, then get inline for the lift...... But at the top, the views are great, and one can see as far as the eyes can go of the city of Warsaw in all its splendid glory. Great views at the top. Going back down again, another bit of a wait to the bottom.......another 20 or 30 minutes .......but I didn't mind really as the lines were moving, just slowly! Worth a visit to see the skyline of Warsaw

Impresive beautiful, tall, historical building (237 meters) totally worth to visit when in Warszawa! The terrace frome the 30th floor is offering an amazing view of the city. The exhibition center has some really cool metal sculpture like cars, robots, a replica of the throne from Game of Thrones and well known movies and cartoons characters that kids really love to see and touch.

This place is very special place to visit in Warsaw, Poland. From this place, you can see whole Warsaw. There is a fees of 25 zloty for adult and for students there is a student discount. You can see all big skyscrapers from this top. For a normal people it’s only allowed to go to 30 floors maximum. Inside there is a small restaurant type where you can have good food. The view is just amazing. Good during evening hours so that you can watch sunsets and also the lights switching on of different skyscrapers. It’s super.

We know there is an observation deck in that building but it took us some time to find the right entrance, because it’s huge alongside with other buildings which have the same design. Very Soviet Union style like the way we saw on movies. They called it viewing terrace, it’s on 30th floor. Good panoramic view of Warsaw. Skyscrapers, old town etc. but we didn’t go on the clearest day. Locals seem to love going there too

For me this building is Warszawa. The first readily identifiable building when flying into Chopin. It was the biggest building rising from the destruction of the city during WW2. It is very much in the Stalinist style of architecture. It is usually well lit and colourful when it becomes dark. I love it and take far too many pictures.

The architecture is breathtaking!! Reminds me a lot of the Moscow University (which is fitting since the city has still a lot of Soviet and communist era influence in terms of buildings and architecture), it's definitely a must-see in Warsaw! I wouldn't necessarily go inside (unless you understand Polish and can attend the museum's inside, or if it's nice weather out to go to the viewing terrace) as there's not really much to do, but there is a photo booth to take one of those touristy photo strips if you're looking for that! It's a great way of spotting the center and not getting lost around the city and a great starting point for going anywhere in Warsaw.

One from many iconic building in Warsaw, few times coming here with kids, they lived it because they can see the city of Warsaw from every side. Always crowded and only one elevator been used so make it even slower but it really a nice place to visit and see Warsaw from different angle.

Would highly recommend the Palace of Culture & Science! There were great views of the city along with information at the top showing you what you are looking at and some history. Outside of the building you can see the demarcation of the old ghetto, which is also powerful to view.

This building has so much character, the views are spectacular. The minute I looked over the city from all views, I wished I was not just on vacation. Warsaw is a beautiful place and from this building you can see so much of it. I also recommend taking a date for the night viewing, it’s very Romantic.❤️

Tip about queue, is that you have Amazingly to go Early 5 P.M. for me luckily it was dark at 4 P.M too, otherwise at later time wait can be longer than 30 Minutes. View of the city. 5€ ticket for going on Terrace. It is worth seeing at night. I do not know how it will look in day time. it is just amazing and must watch view if you are in the city. It is as beautiful as the Warsaw city itself is. I just can not describe more.

Beautiful building worth visiting - especially for the 30th floor viewing platform - queues for the lift up can be lengthy - for us about 45 minutes queuing for the lift to go up and 30 minutes down. The cafe at the top has really good coffee and cakes at a reasonable price. The building can be seen for miles and for us having our hotel nearby it was a useful guide/marker.

The building isn’t anything special but the view from it is really magnificent, especially during the golden hour. I recommend to visit this place in the evening if you want great photos. But the waiting time was longer than we expected (around 20 minutes). That was because only one of six lifts were working. So keep in mind that.

This is a really impressive building that takes centre stage in Warsaw. The 1950’s architecture is similar to buildings in other cities like Riga. It stands out from right around the city and is a useful landmark for navigating. The building itself houses a number of things and is certainly worth a visit. The views from the top are fantastic. There are also a couple of museums, if you like that sort of thing.

It can be a very interesting place if you are a visitor or even if you live in Warsaw. Tons of things to do in the Palace itself but also around it. The park at the bottom of the Palace could be revamped in my opinion to make the surroundings more pleasant and welcoming. Go to the top floor if you are not afraid of the heights and want to see stunning panoramic views of the city!! Overall score: 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The first thing you think of when you’re in Warszawa. Easily accessible thanks to the well planned transportation system in the city. This old piece of soviet architecture is truly stunning. The details in the building itself along with the views it gives from the top are just something else. I truly recommend visiting this palace to truly understand that grandeur the city played during its time and current history.

For me it’s a must visit place in Warszawa. You can spend there as much time as you want (only until it’s closing of course). It gets quite cold when it’s windy. So you better bring some warmer clothes and some gloves when it’s colder. You can see the whole city in every direction. It’s definitely worth visiting it during sunset and staying until it’s getting dark.

Had an incredible view of the city, was a very interesting experience. Only 1 lift worked so was very busy, was the polish version of the Empire State Building in New York. I'm terms of iconic recognition, beautiful and importance however has a very interesting history.

Still imponent, offer by USSR and built between 1952-55, remains a landmark in Central Warsaw, not only by the massive stone structure but all the imense area around it. Strikes the view too, by it's stone structure now surrounded by steel, concret and glass in many towers built and in going on construction. Thought about it as taller, but still impressive. Quite cheap to visit, from €4 and above of include guide and view from the top.

Great architectural site for the Warsaw. The history of the building is worth enough for the visit. However, I have a mix feeling visiting the Terrace. Only one operating elevator made 15 min visit into hour and a half. I believe the expected scenery is not as impressive.

Very cool experience when in Warsaw. A trip onto the 30th floor viewing terrace to take in the panorama of the city. Then a quick stop for souvenirs and you're on your way :-). The view is very cool especially in the evening. It's not too crowded but be aware that the elevators need to be called by the tourists- they're not automatic. This can lead to delays. Overall a cool way to spend a couple of hours.

An underwhelming experience. You can go up the lift to the viewing deck, but I'd argue the lookout in Old Town Warsaw has better, unobstructed views. There are some plaques up there to read, but again, could find that info elsewhere and save yourself the time of waiting for the lift to go up and down. There wasn't much else to do. Honestly, spend the time elsewhere.

Pretty nice lookout tower, where you can watch almost the entire city. The waiting time is about an hour, and you better to buy tickets in advance. We did it during standing in the line😇 So if you do not purchase tickets before, you sucked. Because you need to wait the whole queue on the left side and then on the right side😅

A beautiful viewpoint. From it, the differences in the architecture of the "old" and "new" Warsaw can be clearly seen. It's great that they didn't decide to tear it down. The place is really beautiful. Inside the building itself there are many exhibition spaces that are worth visiting. The elevator is too fast, you're up in no time. A really wonderful place to relax. Definitely visit if you're nearby, you won't regret it. The ticket is not expensive (about 5 E). There are also family tickets. At the top there is also a cafe, where you can drink coffee, and a souvenir shop with nice things.

This is a really cool unique experience for a cheap price. The Palace of Culture and Science is a great initial way to see the city of Warsaw, allowing you to see the beautiful sights and skyline from above with 360 degree views. To get to the view point, you take a short lift ride to the top, where you can then walk around and view the city from different angles. Also at the top of the tower is a gift shop where you can buy souvenirs and also a photo booth to take pictures in as another form of souvenir. Be prepared that the photo booth only takes coins however. Tickets are cheap and can be bought online or at the entrance of the tower. If you’re in Warsaw, I definitely recommend purchasing a ticket and seeing the sights of the city for yourself

(Translated by Google) The Palace of Culture and Science is the tallest building in Poland located in the center of Warsaw at Plac Defilad 1. Together with the antenna bracket, which is an integral part of the spire, it is 237 meters high. It was built in 1952–1955 according to the design of the Soviet architect Lew Rudniew. It is architecturally a mixture of socialist realism and Polish historicism. The palace is the seat of many enterprises and public institutions, including four theaters, three museums, cinema, Collegium Civitas, the authorities of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Central Commission for Degrees and Titles. It also houses a conference and entertainment hall for 3000 people (Sala Kongresowa) and the Youth Palace with a swimming pool. The building is monumental and makes a great impression. Mieści się w nim również sala konferencyjno-widowiskowa na 3000 osób (Sala Kongresowa) oraz Pałac Młodzieży z basenem. Budynek jest monumentalny, wywołuje ogromne wrażenie.

Amazing views😍, very reasonable price. The only downfall at the moment is that only one small lift is operating, so make sure you plan a bit more time for your visit.

Great view. I really recommend visiting the place on friday in the evening when they're opened till 22:00. Just the queues were quite big so you need to calculate with that. The may make work more than one lift there, would be much quicker.

An iconic Warsaw landmark. Nicely illuminated at night. Worth a visit to the observation floor for great 360 views over the City.

  • 4/5 Bryan 2 years ago on Google
As many have suggested, the view from the terrace is a little obstructed but I'd say it's worth the price. There's a lookout in the old town which seems to be more worthwhile, however they do not accept cards.

Visited here in September in 2018. I didn't know what this was and still now I wonder what this is. After my flight arrived in the Modlin airport, I jumped onto a bus that I thought would go to the downtown, and I saw this magnificent building when I got off. This building stands out too much and I guess it can be seen from anywhere in the city. This tower-like building has an attractive appearance encouraging tourists to take a photo even if they don't know well about it. Maybe this is like a curious power of Architect. As you can expect, this design comes from Stalinist style, because this was like a gift from Soviet Union. Interesting.

One of the most popular and recognizable buildings not only in Warsaw, but also in Poland. It is a place where we can find a theater, cinema, restaurants and various exhibitions. It is lit at night, and during special events there are special illuminations.

Iconic building in the center of warsaw and also the most stylish one. It looks more beautiful in night when lights turned on. The blend of old architecture along with modern building make this place, quite a scenic.

I highly recommend visiting this Palace. The view from the viewing terrace was breathtaking. I bought the tickets online and it was worth it. The only inconvenience here was the queue upstairs and then downstairs. There was only one lift and because of corona restrictions, there could be only 4 people in it.

  • 4/5 Xylem1 1 year ago on Google
A huge building with lots to see and experience. Huge queues for the viewing platform, but the exhibitions seem to be walk straight in. Nice Cafe Nero too, they're much better in Poland than they are in UK that's for sure!

  • 3/5 Frank E. 1 year ago on Google
Maybe I didn't know what to look for. Not very much was in English but the tour ticket I got was to go to one of the higher floors to be able to see most of Poland from an elevated position. You can see old town and a few other things at a distance. I recommend going but I wouldn't plan for more than 2 hours. Took forever to get in.

  • 4/5 Vandiors V. 1 year ago on Google
It is the second tallest building in Poland and Warsaw with a viewing terrace. There are many companies in this place, there are also institutions, theaters, museums etc. There are also cafes. You can park your car in front of the building as there is a paid car park there. The building evokes mixed feelings, incl. because of its historical past. As a tourist punk, it is worth seeing because it evokes various reactions, from delight to criticism

Majestic on the outside. Nothing special on the top, but the view is great, because you can see the whole city from every direction. Might be worth a visit. There might be a lot of school kids visiting here, but you might not even need to buy tickets in advance or que for a long time. The elevator will take you to the top and down. I would say you should reserv about 30 min to 2h in total or just look at it from the ground. It is also beautiful in the evening.

A very fun afternoon for about $6 USD to go to the observation deck and get a full tour of the city through the posted signs. This is good to do on day 1 of your trip so you can see all the buildings in the city and plan your trip.

  • 4/5 Tolga 8 months ago on Google
Although local community criticizes the building, it has an aesthetic view compared to the other building in the city center. Warsaw is clearly not a well preserved city because of wars and invasions. This building might not have a baroque architecture effect yet feels nice touch.

This place must be on your MUST SEE list when you're on Warsaw. To get on the top floor, you have to queue, however there's an option to buy tickets online and only queue to the lift. Regular ticket costs 25PLN. It takes 20 seconds to get on the 30th floor. View is breathtaking, I recommend going when the sky is clean of clouds.

  • 4/5 Aimar J. 7 months ago on Google
One of main symbols Soviet era. Very popular place. Is it worth, building itself is great. View from 30th floor is not something special. In summer there is a lot of people. So better buy ticket from on-line.

One of the best examples of Stalinist architecture outside of Russia and much bigger in person! If you're not able to go to Moscow to see the 'Seven Sisters,' this is the next best thing. There's also a movie theater if you want to explore the inside and an observatory at the top. Such a beautiful structure not to be missed in Warsaw!

  • 5/5 Panagiotis G. 8 months ago on Google
This building is magnificent. It seems like the communist version of the Empire State Building. It is equally impressive and maybe more since it is not crammed in the city but there is plenty of space around it. Modern scyscrapers are around as well as the mall and train station my favorite building in Warsaw.

  • 5/5 Steve H. 7 months ago on Google
Took the building tour to see interiors, hear history and context. Polish version. Plenty of fascinating information and memorable anecdotes in the guide's script. I've been in Warsaw multiple times and never did this till now, it enriches your appreciation of this great city

  • 4/5 L V. 6 months ago on Google
The building a is a great example of good Soviet architecture. Tickets for the viewing platform are very cheap and if you buy them online there is almost no waiting time. The view is very nice.

  • 5/5 Nikolay M. 6 months ago on Google
An arhitectural marvel and probably the most famous building in Warsaw, you simply cannot miss it. Make sure you walk around and admire every aspect of it. The view from the observation deck is a little underwhelming, but still worth seeing.

  • 5/5 Tvelectronics 6 months ago on Google
Really beautiful icon and could be considered some kind of second Eiffel Tower for Warsaw. Even though it's a symbol of Socialism and could be thought of as just a Communist monument, it's really a well-designed Palace. Definitely worth going to viewing terrace

  • 5/5 Erika M. 6 months ago on Google
Really nice looking building. It is super cheap (25 zloty per person), and you can buy it directly at the counter or through the web page. I dont recommend the webpage, though, because we bought it there and never received the ticket. We had to go to the lady before the scan bars, and she went to the computer with our bar code and printed the code bar for us... This took like 30 minutes, so it's better to buy it there. There is the elevator that takes you 30 floors up. Up here there is a small cafeteria and a small souvenir shop. The view is really nice, but there are bars, so the selfie is not that cute. It's still better this way because of safety reasons. All the personnel spoke English and they were really really helpful. Inside is really big so there is plenty of space. And there a some chairs to sit. Here it says that there is wifi but there is not. Nothing. There are bathrooms downstairs (uou dont need to pay entrance, those are just public) and also uphere after you took the elevator.

The view from the top floor is totally incredible. We arrived late to the city and this was the first- and only thing - we did. And was the best introduction to Warsaw. The views at the sunset are mesmerizing. Totally worth it

  • 5/5 Sanoj N. 5 months ago on Google
One of the best places to see in Warsaw. Museums and other attractions are inside. The only issue is to visit each building you need to pay an entry fee.

  • 5/5 Maryam 4 months ago on Google
An architectural masterpiece, the Palace is a captivating blend of history and modernity. The grandeur of its design leaves a lasting impression, and the panoramic views from the terrace are breathtaking. The cultural events hosted within add an extra layer of richness to the experience. However, the sheer size might be overwhelming for some. Overall, a must-visit landmark that beautifully symbolizes Warsaw's resilience and cultural evolution.

I really liked the fact that this building is in the middle of brand new skyscrapers, very nice view from the balcony at the 30th floor but make sure you buy tickets online!! We saw a huge line outside, but having the tickets already we just made our way inside and there was no line to get to the top.
