👍👍 Let me begin with my rant, not the restaurant's fault. We arrived shortly after a very busy 3 weeks where there was short supply everywhere. They didn't have salmon or tuna. No problem 😊. Let me begin with my rant, not the restaurant's fault. We arrived shortly after a very busy 3 weeks where there was short supply everywhere. They didn't have salmon or tuna. No problem 😊. They didn't have local root vegies: taro, sweet potatoes, and yams. No problem. What they did have was a burst of flavors that made the long walk from the Emrald hotel worth the round trip on foot. I would do it every night if I had been here earlier. Unfortunately for us, this is our last night here. We had the seafood chowder and prawn dish as starters. Both robust, fresh, and delicious. I'll take with me the memory of the hint of cumin and ginger flavors of the prawns. The toasted sesame on the fresh steamed rice reminded me of my travels in Japan. The chowder married muscles, scallops, and shrimp in a creamy rich broth with a hint of ghost peppers to greet the pallet. It's not spicy hot but just enough to long for more. Our drinks were basic because I wanted just whiskey neat as a cleanser. The island lacks pallet cleanser dishes. Mains were both the Adobo for me and Mahi Mahi for him. Can't even say enough of how amazing these were. Worthy of any fine establishments in the states or elsewhere. Bravo!

Waited over an hour for food 🤔 with a reservation..... watched every table around us get seated and order food after us and watch people finish their food and leave before our food arrived 🤷🏾‍♂️

Local restaurant co-located with the hotel/lodge. Colonial-esque decor. Good food, with fish and chips having fresh local fish, homemade coleslaw, and homemade tartar sauce. Friendly and nice staff.

Vayan sin prisa y disfruten. Todo se elaboró en el momento y eso necesita su tiempo. El sitio es agradable y el personal también. Los precios son bastante altos.

Dining room is nicely appointed and well kept and garden is very pretty. Location is right on the waterfront. Tuna sashimi entree was very good. Cocktail was weak, watery and blended with ice (and not described as that on the menu). Seafood pasta had huge chunks of tinned tomatoes and surimi posing as scallops, and frozen prawns with no local (or any other) seafood. Service was mostly warm and friendly but I was asked twice “if I wanted anything else” in the 40 minutes between my entree and main course arriving - just what I ordered please. They will only serve $5 Fiji water and not the perfectly acceptable purified water from 20l bottles everyone else in Tonga drinks, even when asked. Wifi is $5/hr, which you have to leave the table and go and ask and pay for a coupon at hotel reception, even when already paying fine dining prices. Dessert not offered. Had to leave table at pay at register even after asking to pay while only 2 other tables occupied. When paying I was asked how dinner was, I replied “just OK” before they added an unlisted 4% surcharge for credit card and asked no further questions or comments. An extremely disappointing experience overall, particularly for the current Google rating and price.

This has been our best meal yet in Tonga. We went for dinner on a Monday night. The staff were amazing. Very professional and attentive. I had a mocktail, my partner had a cider which he's found hard to get here in Tonga. My partner had the scallops for starters and said they were the best scallops he'd ever had. I had the satay chicken for a main and it was a taste sensation. My partner had the nori mahi mahi. The plating on this was a work of art in itself. He loved the meal. The fish was succulent and the flavors a real hit. For dessert I had the manioke cake. A local sweet. I'd been wanting to find a local sweet treat but with no luck so I was super pumped to have this. It was absolutely amazing. Far exceed my expectations. Would we be back? Absolutely!

Overall experience was very decent as there was a kind host that made sure everyone was comfortable and well seated before taking our drink orders. The service was full of smiles and hospitality with a very refined dining atmosphere surrounded by works of art and a rustic look. The food was well presented with delicately fine flavours and over all preparations with only a slight issue with the meat which was under done most probably caused due to the rush hour. Thou it falls on the more high-end level of dining due to the high prices however the level of quality is great. A good location for family dinners or even little dates. I highly recommend!!!

We spent a couple of hours here while we waited for our taxi to the airport. They offer Maka, the local beer which by the way was excellent. We also had a meal of Mahi Mahi, Chilli prawns and a Tuna with Melon. All were excellent but the highlight was the very pleasant lovely girl that served us. Unlikely to return to Tonga but if you're here please try it.

Waited an hour for our food. Ordered seafood pasta but pasta and shrimp were bland and overcooked.

(Translated by Google) Thank you for the friendly staff and service. Impressed by the delicious pasta from the airport pick-up service. If you go to Tonga again, I will definitely use this place. (Original) 너무나 친절한 직원들과 서비스에 감사함을 느낀다. 공항 픽업 서비스부터 맛있는 파스타에 감동했다. 혹시라도 다시 통가에 간다면 반드시 이곳을 이용하겠다.

A group of us (13 in total) had dinner at Waterfront on Wednesday 5th of June and we had the best night. Staff were friendly and gave us the best service, delicious dishes with generous servings. If you’re thinking of a night out in Nuku’alofa, Waterfront is the place you must visit. First class service and great foods⭐️💯✅

👍 The best cafe in town, excellent service and food. The staff are really nice and friendly. I came here many times because I really liked it! The only thing I didn't like was the wifi. There is no free wifi and for me it was a huge trouble. Please give wifi to your customers :)
