Shine-On Hotel is a low budget hotel with modest and clean rooms. Meals are simple and an indigenous menu is the norm. It has secure grounds that are protected by a boundary wall and a gate. You can order a snack if you arrive late. Breakfast consists of a hot beverage, milk, bread with margarine, banana, boiled egg, and an omelette if you prefer that. It has a bar as well.

The 40k rooms are much better than the 50k ones. An okay budget hotel. Rooms are clean. Showers have hot waterTheir breakfast is limited and not very tasty but they are close to Colobus Cafe which has great food. You can have katogo OR bread and eggs but not both.

I have watched the world cup from the place. They have a wonderful conference room, ample parking space and located a few minutes from mbale town.

Rooms ok. Good shower and bed. Check out time 10 with no exceptions. We had 4 rooms and would not know if we would stay another day until about noon. Rudely told to pack and vacate immediately. So I am suggesting to all the guys we find another hotel for tonight.

Your typical crush, after normal places have been fully booked. Mind your room, expect no real TV experience. You may or may not suffer water outages, that's why they've prepared the room with a basin and jerrycan.

This is my first trip to Mbale and the hosting church selected this site for my lodging. Quiet hotel, nice room layout. If you are looking for a super fancy hotel, this is not it. But, it works for what is needed on a short term visit. Overall, I can say that I like it.

For a place that has not so expensive rooms, Shine On Hotel is a very good place to stay. Now that it has got free WiFi services open to residents, it's almost there. Only thing is that their breakfast needs to be better!

Hot water was a myth. I couldn't get hot water in the evening & in the morning after I had filled 2 basins with cold water. I talked to one of the attendants who opened the taps for some time & hot water came. When I stepped in to have my bath, the water was already cold. I just showered the cold water, begrudgingly. My other colleague shared with me that there was hot water at the time he entered the shower but was it disappeared before he even finished lathering himself.

I was honestly disappointed in this place, the place needs serious renovation, the beddings, curtains are outdated and need changing. Most of the bathrooms have scary bathtubs, it is better to use showers instead. Do something about this place
