It's a strategically located hotel in the heart of Mbale town but its not the same hotel I came to a few years back. Of recent I went back to this hotel after a long time, the rooms are not well catered for, bedsheets and towels are too old, there are 1000s of cockroaches in the rooms. Mosquito nets are torn and can easily allow mosquitoes to have a feast on you. The toilets are shaking and unstable you may think your going to fall off anytime. The sinks are leaking. The staff are not welcoming, I'm apologetic and so unprofessional. I can nolonger recommend it.

Located at the heart of Mbale Town, Double star hotel is relatively big with spacious self contained rooms fitted with water heaters. It's safe but lacks enough parking space for cars. The rooms are of various prices ranging from 28,000 ugx and above (breakfast inclusive) and an offer of free car wash for customers with cars.

Comfortable and descent place to stay at with very plain and basic breakfast.. Most rooms have single sockets and can be hard to sleep on some nights due to noise from a neighboring bar/club on Wednesday and Friday..

I liked the good customer care exhibitated by the ladies at the front desk. The waitress at the top floor restaurant needs some refresher training so that she learns to say at least hello to the customers she is serving, not just to place the eats and go. The water system of some rooms need to be improved.

I travelled with my family, checked in at 4:00pm, the towels are relatively okay but have been over used. Found when rooms had just been cleaned and in the process of laying beds to my surprise the clean bed sheets were on the corridor floor. I came back at 11:00pm to occupy my rooms, and the receptionist just gave a way by one other room. One askari told me there is another room down stairs and my children can utilize that room and we the parents stay on the upper room. How I sensitive. Mean while the head covered receptionist could not even apologies for the mess she's put us through. Now started running around looking for room at Midnight.

Nice restaurant serving halal food located on the ground, large rooms with everything basic. The staff are friendly and helpful. This hotel is located in the middle of town. You might experience noise on some rooms not yet furnished with sound proof glass window

A nice place in the heart of Mbale City. Very secured and clean. I love it. It's my home whenever I visit the city.

Just in busy center so accessible very clean rooms beyond their value
