If you're looking for an authentic Czech-Bohemian restaurant with awesome food and great service, then look no further. I highly recommend the Farmer's Plate it gives you a sample of some of the most popular items in their menu. Other items I recommend are the cream of tomato soup, liver dumpling soup, apple strudel, just to name a few items. I can honestly say that you can't go wrong with any item off the menu. You can seat at a table, or at the bar so you can watch your favorite sports game while enjoying your meal. They also have a secluded section with a few slot machines, so you can try your luck and maybe you'll hit one of the jackpots. The staff is super friendly and they treat you like a long time regular customer, even if it's your very first time. There's plenty of parking in front of the building and on the East side as well.

Best Bohemian restaurant in the Chicago land area!! Our party of 4 showed up, parking lot seemed full, but we were seated immediately. I had the breaded pork tenderloin with dumplings, sour kraut, beef noodle soup, rye bread & coffee - everything was very very tasty, and plentiful. The service was amazing, coffee, water & rye bread were all filled quickly when empty. It’s an amazing restaurant, go to this place you’ll love it, they even have t-shirts for sale!!

Servuce was excellent. Breaded pork cutlet/gravy were just right. Boiled potatoes slightly under done but still tasty. The show stopper was the kolachke. We had fresh apricot and raspberry and it amazing. Came with dinner but bought more to take home.

Food was pretty good. Svickova comes with 3 bread dumplings and 3 pieces of beef with sparse sauce. Traditionally it should come with a dollop of sweet preserves and dollop of sour cream and more of the gravy sauce which were missing. Overall Taste was good. The service was quick, Mixed the orders a bit and people had to switch the dishes between each other. Water in the glasses does not taste drinkable and I tasted strong chemicals in it therefore no one drank the water at our table. Its a surprising hidden gem of a place that is one of the last bohemian restaurants remaining.

It was my first time here, and I will definitely go back. The food was wonderful, I had the breaded pork tenderloin, and it was very good. 2 huge pieces of pork, and 3 bread dumplings. We happened to be there for the last 30 minutes of a brass band playing. It was a pleasant surprise to have live music, and reminded me of a trip to Poland and Germany.

Very good tasty food. Breaded pork tenderloin is delicious. Definitely will return soon. Liver dumpling soup! DELICIOUS! Also had the fruit dumplings (peach), another good option.

Another incredible dinner for my big brother's birthday courtesy of the McCook Family Restaurant. Everything from the breaded pork tenderloin, roast duck to the dumplings and desserts were excellent. Copious amounts of gravy, spot on service and care for the leftovers...just perfect. The only real change seems to be t-shirts worn by the staff and for sale declaring The Last of the Bohemians now on sale.

Roast Duck was excellent. Roast Pork was dry and had overcooked sections. Dumplings, Sauerkraut and Liver Dumpling soup were good. Service was good.

In a time where good traditional bohemian food is getting harder to find, McCook Bohemian Restaurant is a hidden jewel. You can't go wrong with a platter of breaded pork tenderloin, dumplings, and saurkraut. Bring the whole family😁 Also the beer is reasonably priced!

We absolutely loved every bite of Czech food we ate. The Svickova was to die for! So nice and tender and the gravy 😘 perfection

Always enjoy their food. I had half roast pork today and half breaded tenderloin. They were both good. The bread was a little dried out. I felt like I should have gotten a little bit more mashed potatoes than I did.... It look like a half of what I normally get at most places. I haven't been here for a while but since I've last been here the prices went up significantly. Most of the prices were around $20 for the meal.
