If you are thinking about moving in to this apartment complex, I recommend that you do not. While the leasing office staff are very helpful and friendly I cannot say the same for upper management. My girlfriend and I moved in to our 3rd floor apartment in December, and originally had minimal complaints. Apartment layout is pretty spacious; the hallways and common areas are generally well upkept, and we haven't had any noise issues through walls. However, when temperatures started to raise in the summer our AC could not keep up. We have consistently been paying 40-50% more on our ComEd bill than our neighbors because our fan (which is extremely loud) is on for about 95% of the day. We have to leave the blinds closed all day since the sun makes our apartment unbearably hot. Management could not care less about this issue. I have been trying to get them to fix this for 6 months now and I have only been met with one off emails from the leasing agents saying that they will bring up the issue to their manager. Not once in this 6 month battle have I actually talked to a manager, as if they are hiding from me. We know someone who is having similarly terrible experiences with this management company, and is going to take them to small claims court to get it sorted. I believe my girlfriend and I will have to do the same. Finally, we have the largest issue with this apartment. The singular elevator that the building has has been out of order for almost 5 months now. Not only is this another reflection about how much the management tries to saving money wherever they can, even if it's causing detriment to their tenants, but it is a blatant violation of the Fair Housing Act. Do not move here.

Hi I am a resident of the Bordeaux building and I have some issues with my ac. The ac doesn’t work. The temperature inside the house is 92f for two days now. The maintenance showed up and said that the ac is slow and they left. The management doesn’t seem to care to fix the problem, but they’d send a notice of eviction if you’re a day late for your rent. Maybe they should focus more on solving these issues.

*Update* There is a reason this place does not have 5 stars. We were never told that there was a non refunable 250 fee. We do not care how many times you emailed us. There is no excuse for this. You are using humans as an investment opportunity instead of treating us like people. Please enjoy all the money you from all your tenants as I can guess that goes toward your company dinners. STOP TRYING TO RESPOND TO THE REVIEW. NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU CALL US TO COMPLAIN WE WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT WE FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. CONDUCT YOURSELVES BETTER.* We are so glad we did NOT move here. Leasing office called to ask us to take a negative review. Unhappy with a verbal miscommunication that lead to us loosing out on what we thought was a refundable fee of $250. Do not let the inexperienced managers and agents take your money or time.

Watch out when you move out. They are a nightmare once you are out. They send you exuberant bills which were not discussed before moving out. The Civil thing would be to let tenants know what are the expectations when they are moving out. One stain on the carpet and they made me pay for the whole apartment carpet. WHOLE FREAKING APARTMENT!! And When you try to talk, they talk about facing collection agencies after every breath they take. And this is after I paid all the rents on time. RIDICULOUS!

We lived in this apartment for a year and the place was still very decent. No damage or anything yet they charged us 1600 extra for a small stain on the carpet while leaving. I don't recommend this place to anyone. You are just using people's hard earned income for yourself. I don't know how people can stoop down so low.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Maintenance doesn’t do anything. I had to deal with A/C not working during most of the summer, and it being up to 85 degrees in the apartment. I ended not even being able to stay there it was so hot. The wall paint is cheap that any sort of mark will stain immediately. We had to deal with constant mold and cracks coming through the walls. Save yourself the hassle and rent elsewhere.

This is a great place to live. Super easy move in, clean, and haven’t had any noise issues. As we are looking to move out, I’ve seen so many other sub-par apartments, which has made me appreciate living here that much more. Love having staff that picks up the phone and speaks to you respectfully :)

The worst place I ever stayed in: terrible lying management who do tricks in order not to have the reviews published here, liar receptionist taking care of his shoe selling business rather than deal with issues, awful and stuck in time, rude old security guy just good for nothing. They laugh about your problems behind the glass in their office hence the many negative reviews here.

Though the community looks good they don't give lease to the students. I don't know what's the crime students did. How far is this fair not giving lease to the students ? What's the wrong us? Did we do any crime ? They will ask for pay slips or bank balance for the students in US account. They students will have pay slips or bank balance 3 times that of rent value ? In such case you should keep a note that no lease will be provided for students. They will ask you to pay 310 dollars as fee they will deduct 60 dollars and will refund that back after rejection. Is this a business?

Apartment management is not good. They charge tenant without any notification. They just charge tenant whatever they want to charge. After move out they send final bill for unpaid bill or damage, i agree with that but they fix apartment first and send us $1000 bill without inform tenant. If tenant did not damage and still tenant has to pay this bill . They charge me for red paint or stain on my carpet which one we did not do it. I checked my apartment when i moved out and there are no red paint and stain on carpet. They might did it whenevery they clean this apartment who knows. Management know that if tenant dont pay, they will send to the collection agency or credit department. I am not recomming anyone to move in this apartment at all.

They are the worst the management is rude. They don’t follow up after emails are sent. Packages constantly get lost or stolen. The apartment is always hot in the summer even with the fan constantly running and the fan noise is so loud. When you call management they say they can’t do anything about it it’s just hot out and deal with it. The apartments are so dirty now and have a roach infestation through out the buildings. Somebody new moved in and told me she had ants in her apartments and wanted to know if that was normal. They called pest control when it got out of hand but the issue is still there.

Thank you Miriam, for being a perfect agent throughout the visit yesterday! I am so happy and grateful that I met her. She knows her job. She is so professional, outstanding and a very beautiful person in n out. Her efficiency and brilliant service exceeded and made easy for me to make the decision to rent an apartment in this beautiful place with all features and requirements. The manager and the team are so helpful and work hand in hand. Great team work! It's a great place to call HOME, with all the amenities supported by friendly staff and all the requirements a family needs to live happily with peace of mind. Looking forward to make some true friends in this colorful and diverse community. Miriam you are the BEST!! May God bless you and all with all the finest blessings of both the Worlds. Ameen!

I loved living in this place, they are distinguished by the speed of maintenance, and there are green areas and playgrounds, and the air is very safe, and its location is very special, but there is a slight problem that I often do not find parking spaces close to the building in which I live.

I've been living at IV for more than ten years and have nothing but positive feedback for the entire location and staff. My neighbors are courteous and I've made many friends here. The maintenance crew is amazing—24-hour response times and they know your name! Two beautiful pools, six tennis courts, sand-volleyball, and I never see the police! A great place to live.

They are very professional especially the land lord Gabrielle, she is very easy to talk to and is very good at her job, she is kind and very professional. What I like is that she made sure the apartments are very clean and neat before being rented. I love everything in the apartment. Good job international village staff.

I had the displeasure of living in the condominium for more than 1 year and after I indicated that I wanted to leave, the service only got worse. First, the system turned off my automatic payment without anyone noticing. I contacted them the next day and they made me pay $55 for the delay. After that they communicated to me that I could sign up again for automatic payment again. This never happened because the portal is blocked. I tried calling the manager for weeks and she never responded. Their excuse was that she left the company. Now I had to pay late fee again as the portal is still blocked. Also, packages are often stolen. The AC is extremely loud and often doesn't work. Same with the heater. The bell doesn't work and the manager is extremely unfriendly and doesn't try to attend to customers' needs. If you're not happy you have to leave, they won't try to accommodate you and make you feel welcome. I recommended some people to live here and I regret it.

They’re very acceptant of working with people who fall a little bit behind - specifically, still recovering from the pandemic. Their compassion is 2nd to none. They will always try to work with you and are understanding of hard times. - I’m sorry this is a lie. The lack of professional courtesy as well as the piercingly-condescending entitlement when speaking with management staff overseeing 4000+ apts while trying to reconcile makes it challenging to consider people and housing or management their calling and in bad taste as a product offering/investment opportunity considering. Bad investment, bad lease. It’s an attempt at an established machine praying on the unsuspecting on both sides and you don’t want your name attached to that. International Village is owned/managed by FandF Reality whom owns nearly if not more than a hundred properties throughout the Chicago area and terrible at doing so if/as example increases exponentially. There will be further posts on other FandF property sites. Hienas.

Alexis is hands down the best representative I have ever experienced, not just in the real estate or housing market - but in any of my professional engagements too. Not only is she the essence of professionalism, but is; kind, understanding and truly cares about the needs of every individual she interacts with! She moved her schedule around to show us the wonderful apartments at International Village on multiple occasions. In a world of $ and self interest focused individuals, Alexis is the opposite and what is right in the world! I cannot recommend her enough!

I have been a resident at International Village for a few years now and it is a very nice, friendly, and safe community. The residents here are all very family orientated and the apartment is located just across from a lovely neighborhood and right across from a grocery store. It is a large complex but the maintenance staff usually handles requests within the week and does an exellent job of maintaining the gym, both pools, and the grounds. All of the staff members always do their very best to create a welcoming community. Particularly, my expereinces with Mariam, Alexis, and Jake have been extremely good and all of them have been helpful and kind, and always go out of their way to assist the residents here.

Excellent staffing. Affordable living with lots of stores and things to do in the area. Lots of children so be aware if that's an issue for you. Quiet, safe place to live.

Prominent indian residents and good for kids and teens to play outside.big living area , small kitchen regardless of bhk . Nearby Kroger , Pete's , malls and shops . No marijuana smell in corridor or apartments . No loud cars and quiet at night as people don't scream on streets . Higher rent due inflation otherwise should be 200$ less. Management is average like any other apartment . Gym , pool ,good maintainace of club house . Overall a decent place .

Overpriced, over charge for everything, especially move out deposit. I cleaned my apartment before leaving, and they charged me $900+ for carpet stains. Carpet cleaning and stain removal does not cost that much. They will try to take a $4000 deposit from you when you first move, so they can make excuses and keep it all when you leave. Im very disappointed.

International Village Apartments is very family friendly and the staff from the ones in the office to maintenance is very friendly and concerned about your request. One thing I have to say just to be honest is that the storage room and the smell in hallway especially with the Curry and MARIJUANA needs attention ASAP. Other than that I love it because the staff is on it.
