My
mom
recovered
here
after
a
fall
caused
a
broken
bone
requiring
a
few
weeks
of
rehab
and
physical
therapy.
My
mom
was
horrified
at
the
thought
of
staying
in
a
rehab
facility
after
a
terrible
experience
last
year
at
a
different
facility.
I
shared
this
with
the
liaison
for
Burgess
Square
before
my
mom
was
transferred
from
the
hospital
and
I
can
say
they
did
everything
they
could
to
ensure
a
great
experience.
Burgess
Square
was
night
and
day
compared
to
the
previous
facility.
Because
my
mom
was
not
yet
vaccinated,
understandably
she
needed
to
be
isolated
for
the
first
two
weeks
of
her
stay.
This
really
scared
her
(and
us),
but
Burgess
Square
staff
was
amazing
in
ensuring
that
we
were
in
close
contact
with
her
and
that
they
kept
us
in
the
loop
regarding
progress
and
any
relevant
observations
and
information.
They
were
even
able
to
get
her
fully
vaccinated
during
her
stay.
Halfway
through
my
mom's
stay
they
assembled
a
conference
call
consisting
of
a
representative
from
each
area
of
care
(medical
and
neuro
health,
physical
therapy,
nursing,
social
worker).
I
was
blown
away
at
the
fact
that
they
assembled
this
call
proactively!
We
didn't
request
it,
but
it
was
so
beneficial
for
all
involved.
Normally,
I'd
expect
that
the
patient
themself
would
not
be
included
on
the
call,
however
my
mom
was
present.
I
initially
found
myself
questioning
this
decision,
as
it
was
a
little
awkward
at
first,
but
the
transparency
all
around
was
such
a
breath
of
fresh
air.
After
the
call
I
realized
having
her
present
showed
they
were
just
as
concerned
about
being
open
and
honest
with
my
mom
as
they
were
with
her
family.
No
one
wants
to
go
into
rehab/therapy
(or
have
a
loved
one
go),
but
thankfully
there
are
facilities
like
this
one
to
help
make
the
experience
as
comfortable
as
it
can
be.
What
sealed
it
for
me
was
something
my
mom
said
as
she
was
leaving.
She
was
concerned
that
she
couldn't
say
goodbye
to
everyone
in
person
who
helped
her
along
the
way.
This
speaks
volumes
to
the
care
and
sincerity
she
received
here.
To
put
this
in
perspective,
she
couldn't
run
away
fast
enough
from
the
previous
rehab
facility.
To
everyone
who
took
care
of
my
mom
while
she
recovered,
thank
you
so
much.
Hopefully
she
never
needs
to
go
into
a
rehab
facility
again,
but
if
she
does,
I'm
relieved
to
know
we
found
a
great
one
in
Burgess
Square.
