My elderly mom was admitted to Burgess Square rehab center after a hospital stay. During the several weeks she spent there, she was consistently cared for with compassion and professionalism. Covid-19 precautions were rigorously enforced, which was reassuring to my family. The physicians, nurses, nursing aides, therapists and social workers were all wonderful. Special shout out to social worker Michelle, who provided excellent communication with my family regarding progress updates, discharge planning and post-discharge services. Highly recommend!

I just want to give a huge shout out to all the staff at Burgess Square! I would give 100 stars if I could give it! My 95yr old Grandma became a resident there mid November 2021. She is nearing the end of her life very soon. As understaffed as they are (like many other places), they have been so attentive & kind to my Grandma. They've all done a wonderful job! (You also have a very clean building - that is important.) Thank you Burgess Square staff for making these last weeks just a bit easier when spending our last moments with my Grandma! ❀️❀️❀️ It means so much to us & you all may not ever realize it. πŸ€—

5 stars all around at this wonderful facility and they took wonderful care of my sister a few months ago! I highly recommend for anyone who is looking for an actual facility that will take care of your loved one. My sister had the most amazing nurse ever, Ashley that worked in the evenings. She was out of this world caring, warm, respectful, sweet, and overall just an awesome person that took care of my sister. I loved when Ashley took care of her because I would never have to worry about my sister at nighttime because Ashley was there. I can't say enough about Ashley, but all staff at the facility was wonderful. To the bottom of my heart, I thank Ashley and everyone for taking care of my sister. I hope and pray that who ever is reading this, and is having a loved one at Burgess Square, they get the chance to have Ashley as their evening nurse. You will not regret having Ashley as your loved one's nurse. Burgess Square is the best rehab facility in Illinois, hands down. My words are never going to be enough for the gratitude I have for everyone there. Thank you Burgess Square for taking care of my sister!

I will begin by saying, this is not a new facility. My husband's move from 3 weeks in LaGrange Hospital happened so quickly, that I didn't have a chance to look at any of the three skilled nursing facilities that could take him. When I got to Burgess, I was not overwhelmed. Compared to the beautiful hospital, it looked a bit tired. My husband was classified "medically complex", so it took a few days for the doctors, nurses & techs to get to know him & his problems. I must add here, I was on hand 8 - 10 hours a day, every day, because I knew by that time, what he needed. We were there many weeks & 98% of the care he received was fantastic. When we had a small issue with one of the night techs, the nursing supervisor's concern was sincere & it was dealt with immediately. It was the only time we had cause to report a problem & it was very early on. They generally kept the same nurses & techs in our corridor, so we got to know & love them. Their degree of skill & compassion was deep. It doesn't matter what the place looks like, as long as you have confidence in the care. I read other reviews & understand that people have many issues coming in, but our experience was a great one. My husband's home & healthy, thanks in great part to Burgess Square.

My mom just came home from Burgess Square 3 weeks ago. And I have to highly, highly recommend them for a skilled rehabilitation for your relative or family member!! On the outside Burgess Square doesn't look like too much but what's inside is what counts!! From the front desk staff, case manager, physical therapists, occupational therapists, CNA's, food service & prep people, and EVERYONE at Burgess Square all helped with my mom's recovery. With there help, patience, and providing loving genuine care for their patients my mom was able to come home fully prepared and stronger and in great spirits! If I ever need your services again I will go back there no problem!! Again a big shout out and a big heartfelt thank you to everybody at Burgess Square for everything that you did for my mom!!

My dad spent nearly 2 months at this facility. We had some ups and downs while we where there. The facility needs a make over, maybe a paint job , new bed spreads updates to the rooms. There were times in the evenings you could see how understaffed they were. Yet other times you would see the PCTs binding in a corner on their phones. I had to pay a huge amount of money in sitter fees so watching then sit on their phones was infuriating. However the care my father got from the nurses and most of the staff was exceptional. His main nurse Sarah was the best. She went out of her way to communicate to me the complexities of my dads health issues. She was kind and empathetic and the best employee there. Id also like to call out a temp nurse Melissa who showed me the care and empathy I needed. I did not always get that from staff there. At times I felt management could be judgy. I also want to call out the PCT Nestor who went out of his way to be kind to me and my dad. I had. full time carer for my dad I paid for if it wasn’t for that I don’t know if he would have gotten the card he needed. Summary, give Sarah a raise and make those PCTs give up their phones. They might be more attentive if they did that.

In my previous career, I worked as a hospital discharge planner. Because of this role I was very familiar with the local options for skilled nursing care. When my father-in-law received a terminal diagnosis I did not consider any facility but Burgess Square. The level of genuine caring for each person as an individual is unsurpassed... the administrators are clearly driven by compassion in addition to quality care. My personal experience exceeded my expectations... thank you to all the excellent caregivers at Burgess.

My mom was is Burgess Square a couple of years ago and received wonderful care. So much so, that now when my dad is in need of care he is there. It is a difficult time for someone’s loved one to be there but I feel comfort knowing they are doing everything they can to keep him safe. I would definitely recommend Burgess Square.

5 Stars All Around! - My mom recovered here after a fall caused a broken bone requiring a few weeks of rehab and physical therapy. My mom was horrified at the thought of staying in a rehab facility after a terrible experience last year at a different facility. I shared this with the liaison for Burgess Square before my mom was transferred from the hospital and I can say they did everything they could to ensure a great experience. Burgess Square was night and day compared to the previous facility. Because my mom was not yet vaccinated, understandably she needed to be isolated for the first two weeks of her stay. This really scared her (and us), but Burgess Square staff was amazing in ensuring that we were in close contact with her and that they kept us in the loop regarding progress and any relevant observations and information. They were even able to get her fully vaccinated during her stay. Halfway through my mom's stay they assembled a conference call consisting of a representative from each area of care (medical and neuro health, physical therapy, nursing, social worker). I was blown away at the fact that they assembled this call proactively! We didn't request it, but it was so beneficial for all involved. Normally, I'd expect that the patient themself would not be included on the call, however my mom was present. I initially found myself questioning this decision, as it was a little awkward at first, but the transparency all around was such a breath of fresh air. After the call I realized having her present showed they were just as concerned about being open and honest with my mom as they were with her family. No one wants to go into rehab/therapy (or have a loved one go), but thankfully there are facilities like this one to help make the experience as comfortable as it can be. What sealed it for me was something my mom said as she was leaving. She was concerned that she couldn't say goodbye to everyone in person who helped her along the way. This speaks volumes to the care and sincerity she received here. To put this in perspective, she couldn't run away fast enough from the previous rehab facility. To everyone who took care of my mom while she recovered, thank you so much. Hopefully she never needs to go into a rehab facility again, but if she does, I'm relieved to know we found a great one in Burgess Square.

My father spent about two months at Burgess Square recovering from a badly broken leg. Because of Covid restrictions, we were unable to visit him. Not only did his rehab progress well (challenging at age 99), the staff was incredibly responsive to all our requests. They facilitated Zoom calls three times a week, cheerfully answered questions even when we called multiple times a day, and went above and beyond when our family experienced a tragic loss unrelated to my fathers care. We knew nothing about rehab facilities prior to this experience and we feel fortunate to have chosen Burgess Square.

Burgess Square is a top notch rehab facility with great clinical care. They took wonderful care of my grandfather and therapy worked very hard to improve his mobility. Kristy was an amazing nurse always following up to make sure his care needs were met. Thank you so much!!!

After having a negative experience with another facility, we decided to place my dad at Burgess after his second surgery. The staff is caring and wonderful and we were relieved that we didn't have to constantly worry about my dad's care or how he was being treated. My dad loved the nurses, rehab specialists, and staff. He also loved the fact that he got 30mins. of PT/OT twice a day. He felt like his time wasn't wasted. They also kept him clean and changed him every day. Thank you all so much for taking care of my dad and helping him on his healing journey!

I would like to take time to express my gratitude and praise to the providers and staff at Burgess Square in Westmont, IL. My wife was in their care for a month earlier this year. The professionalism and attention to the details of her specific needs that they displayed, allowed me to return home after my daily visits assured she was in the best of hands. Kudos to Burgess!

My wife was admitted to Burgess Square for physical rehabilitation after broken leg surgery. I speak on behalf of my whole family. We would like to thank you Burgess Square. I am breaking down the review of several areas of the facility. Facility: It’s an older facility but they do an amazing job to keep it clean. You take any part of facility from entrance to the rooms, the facility is spotless. I have been to many rehabs and nursing homes, and all facilities had one thing in common was smell which was completely absence from Burgess Square. This facility did not have the smell the other rehab and nursing home facilities have. Staff: The staff was amazing! This includes nurses, nursing aids, physical therapist, occupational therapist, social worker, the dinner staff etc. They all I mean all staff members were polite. Staff was amazingly polite regardless how much we were anxious or impatient. Physical therapist even provided basic trainings on how to assist her when she is home. I call this β€œabove and beyond call of duties”. Treatment: My wife could not walk on her own even with a walker when she was admitted. She was able to do that with supervision when we brough her home. Conclusion: I don’t wish anyone has to go through this kind of ordeal but if you have to and looking for a physical rehabilitation place, I will definitely recommend Burgess Square.

Spent 20 days after fracturing hip from shower fall. I had rebab 2-3 times a day. Rebab staff was experienced, knowledgable. They pushed when necccesary and didn't allow me to overwork. The facility is quite large, but older. The food wasn't restaurant quality but better than expected. Wonderful caring staff

My grandmother stayed here for rehab when she got released from the hospital. The level of care she received was outstanding. The facility was always clean and the staff was informative. They went the extra mile for example some of the staff would sit with my grandma and talk to her when she was having a hard day. I cannot express how much this means to me. Thank you everyone at Burgess.

I was in need of a cardiac rehab facility and chose Burgess Square based on the Liaison Anne that I met while in the hospital, She was nice compassionate and caring along with being understanding regarding all the questions that I had regarding my therapy and care. When I arrived the staff was friendly & caring which put me at ease. The therapy staff was outstanding in the way they helped me get back on my feet in order to return home quickly. I would highly recommend Burgess Square for all your Rehab needs.

Our Mom was recently at Burgess for 6 weeks, the staff was wonderful, very caring, the facility was very clean, and the administrative staff was very helpful. The rehab team did an excellent job of helping her to get stronger. She enjoyed the various activities they offered. I would highly recommend Burgess to anyone needing a rehab facility.
