Stumbled across this place today and so glad I did. Finding quality anything anymore is hard. Pizza meets quality and class here. The place is so nice inside. Open kitchen which I love. Staff was awesome and the food was excellent. I'm a calzone guy and finding any place that actually uses ricotta cheese is hard to find let alone even offering calzones on their menu. You can see and taste the difference in the quality here. They're doing every right and I'll be back for sure.

Had a good first experience here. Wine and beer choices were good and the pizza was delicious. Service was attentive and food came out fast. Would recommend and I will be back for sure.

Pros: 1) Excellent pizza crust 2) Good topping variety 3) Pizza is not super oily 4) Friendly staff 5) Clean location 6) Wife says “Pre-sliced olives taste worse than whole pitted. However, the sliced olives here taste and look like they slice them themselves” Cons: 1) Besides the crust, pizzas aren’t addictingly flavorful (maybe because of them not being so oily) 2) Porky Fig pizza was not our cup of tea ( (sweet flavor from the fig jam just wasn’t working) 3) Slightly cold due to AC (and were fairly resistant to cold) 4) The whole roasted garlic had some pretty egregious cases of stems left on (see pic)

Easy to customize pizzas and do two different selections of toppings on each half, great for sharing. (Thank you to the staff who suggested it!) Pizza and salad menu offers a mix of classics, staple specialties, and limited-time seasonal offerings. Very spacious with indoor and outdoor seating, good environment for solo, small, group, and kid dining.

This is a new favorite for our family! We really enjoyed the pizza. We have had it twice and will definitely get it again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dewey’s Pizza, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The pizza was phenomenal, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The staff provided excellent and kind service, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Dewey’s Pizza to anyone in the Kansas City area looking for the best pizza in town. You won’t be disappointed! I recommend the Peppercorn Ranch Salad and Bronx Bomber Pizza!

How did I not know about this place sooner!?!?!? Pizza is incredible! Light thin crust and FRESH ingredients!!! We tried a few of their suggested creations and LOVED each of them. My favorites were the Edgar Allen Poe and Bronx Bomber. We were there for a fundraiser so went all out and got dessert too.... THE. CARROT. CAKE. Enough said!!! Great food, FABULOUS service, highly recommend.

Always a treat! We ordered the seasonal arugula pizza and Ryan's Inferno. Both amazing. I love that you can buy 1 pizza and they will do half and half! The carrot cake is also good. We went during the mid afternoon when there were not a lot of people. Nice calm atmosphere. Parking can be crazy. See picture. The parking lot actually connects directly to where the people going to the light are.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for quite a while but never got around to it. Today was the day. Seated right away around 6pm. The place was rather busy. Drinks and food were ordered quickly and food came out pretty fast. The pizza was excellent. The crust was crispy and non-burnt. Toppings were cooked perfectly and the flavor was amazing. The secondary service wasn’t the best. Waited quite some time for drink refills and our primary server only came by once. A different server brought me a to-go container and my check. None the less, we will be back

Delicious calzone with bacon, sausage and meatballs. They do them with cream cheese and serve marinara on the side. Calzone takes up half a large plate.

We went over the weekend, and the pizza wasn’t great. It smelled amazing but there were very very little toppings, and we had 3 1/2 - 4 inches of crust around the entire pizza. The staff was friendly but there was no communication between them - resulting in multiple people trying to help me at once, making everything very confusing.

Always a good experience with quality food and great service. Their crust is really good and each pizza is well thought out for flavor combos. The kitchen is always immaculate. Nice craft beer selection with local options. Could always be improved with a City Barrel Rad AF but I'm biased. In all seriousness, their small tap wall is loaded with bangers and it looks well thought out. They had a delicious Pathlight pilsner on. Took some family and it was their first time. They were impressed. Stop looking at reviews and go there. Recommend.

Great pizza! I would say and this I say very carefully because I do enjoy good pizza, this has to be in my top three pizza places in Kansas City. My first try is eating the pizza at the restaurant 10/10. The pizza to go is also pretty good and fresh! I don’t know if they wait until you pull in the parking lot but believe me when I tell you, that pizza was fresh and oh so good. The staff is 100 percent friendly, courteous, and fast. I highly recommend this place to all

A must-dine, must-try menu! I'm craving more just writing this review. We love great pizza, and the dough has a lot to do with making it great: well whatever is in their dough at Dewey's keeps me dreaming about more and more.... Their beer selection is awesome and well paired with their pizza and tasty and robust salads. You won't be disappointed! Dewey's please come out to South Overland Blue Hawk!!!!!!!

Amazing pizza. I ordered the Porky Fig and it was the best pizza I have had. The staff was polite and multiple people stopped and asked if we needed anything. My husband loved the Bronx Bommer pizza. The sauce had just the right amount of kick.

Amazing crust. The best crust so far in Kansas City that reminded us of the crusts back in LA. Very clean and one of the best severs we ever had. Went with our toddler but it felt like date night on a week night! Not to mention the actual pizzas and salad! A hidden gem.

Ran in at nine worried we would miss dinner service/be rushed. Instead? We ran into my best experience—by far—at a restaurant. Not only did our server help us choose our beers, salads, & entrees (as well as make some stellar recommendations), we got to meet amazing staff members and developed an excellent conversation. The food was phenomenal, service was incredible, and this spot is definitely my new favorite addiction!

Dewey's pizza is amazing. There is just something about their crust that is second to none. And their salads are absolutely delicious. Their staff is always friendly and helpful. The big open window between the dining room and kitchen provides great entertainment for the kiddos. I would highly recommend Dewey's for your next pizza night!

Staff was amazing, had a lot of fun waiting for our order to be finished. Pizza and salad were perfect and we received them at the promised time. Could not ask for a better first time visit!

First off...the service. Our party was greeted with courtesy and a smile right when we walked in. We were seated quickly and everything we needed was given. I know this sounds like a hotel review but honestly there are some hotel lobbies that could take a cue from Dewey's. Our waiter was attentive and kind, offering help with the menu and bringing drinks when we needed them, always with a smile. Everyone else was getting the same solid service and that was great to see. The whole staff was very helpful with my 14-month-old son, offering and bringing a high-chair, offering and bringing him his own little cheese pizza (which he loved) and downplaying the fact that this little maniac was quite a handful the whole meal, at times just outright screaming. As a new dad it makes me feel so much more comfortable at a restaurant when the staff is helpful and understanding of my young family and of course we'll be back. My mom is in KC, we're in Topeka, so when we come visit Grandma it's probably gonna be time for Dewey's. Now, the pizza... Oh man! This is the pizza experience you want. Every bite, and I mean every bite, was thought out. Perfect thin crust, perfect mix of and distribution of toppings, perfectly baked...I mean, this pie is good! We had a Bleu Ribbon (which should become a menu staple, not just a limited time) and the Porky Fig. The ingredients are subtle and delicious, perfect adult pizza. The salads were so fresh and complimented the pie perfectly, and the ladies loved their wine and beer. This place has fantastic pizza. Honestly I don't really know why I'm taking three paragraphs to write a review for a pizza place an hour away from where I live that I've only been to once. I suppose it has to do with the fact that I was genuinely surprised with the experience and very pleased. Dewey's is a restaurant that is getting the service and quality of restaurant dining post-lockdown down, and they're doing it well. This restaurant should be a model to others for how to reopen and reopen in style. Thanks Dewey's.

Great spot for our early Valentine’s dinner. Food was amazing as always! So fast and prompt. Greg recognized us from our previous visits and stopped to make conversation, even asking if we were here for our anniversary as we’ve celebrated here before. Such a nice touch. Great customer service that will keep us returning! The specials are the best - limited time do you have to snag them while they are there! The harvest salad and the Cuban pizza are delicious. They also have a gluten free brownie that is decadent. And always love the red cream soda. Can’t say enough good things about Dewey’s!

First time here and the pizza was pretty good. The service wasn’t bad either. The restaurant was really clean too.

The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal! Ethan (one of the pizza makers) happily entertained our 9-year-old daughter while tossing the pizza dough! He played tic-tac-toe and hangman with her in the flour and drew characters! What a wonderful place to enjoy delicious pizza and salads. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night, night out with friends or family dinner! 10/10

Don’t go in thinking you’re eating at a $5 per pizza type joint and you’ll walk away impressed. The pizza is great! We love the Don Corleone, Green lantern & Porky Fig! The pizza is not budget pizza and it does not being budget quality. It’s fantastic! We love having it for any occasion that the kids won’t be begging for something plain! Lol

Quite possibly the best pizza in all of the Kansas City area. On top of being able to completely customize the pie, the dough is baked to perfection. Not thin but not thick. Not soft but not crispy. It's the perfect pizza dough blend! We have come for many months and will continue to be loyal Dewey's fans!

Ordered to go, had a great IPA, recommended by the bar tender. Pizza was very good, and got lunch out of it the next day.

Service is fantastic and food is amazing! Salad and pizza were perfect! Best part was watching the guys throw the pizza dough in the air!
