Got a wash and cut, Jay was fantastic and really enjoyable to chat to while he did my hair, listened to everything I asked for and was finished in great time! Would definitely return

I highly recommend Suite J. The staff is friendly, warm and welcoming. Jae. the owner of the salon is exactly the name of his salon - sweet. Julie is my hairdresser and she does a beautiful job. My hair is blonde, and she gets the colour spot on. I have many people comment on my hair colour and style. Her gorgeous, friendly nature makes it fun to spend hours there. I've been going for many years and will continue.

Jae was absolutely fabulous. My blow dry has left my hair feeling so light and bouncy that I wish it was always like this. He was warm and welcoming as were the rest of staff who were very accommodating. I will be coming back and I highly recommend them. A++++

I adore this boutique salon, an icon of St Kilda. Jay is the ubiquitous scissor hands. He listens, absorbs, respectfully advises before attacking your locks. Snip,snip,snip. Great care in not leaving half your hair scratching under your T. Snip, them wash then dry. Wow. Forgot service like this existed in st Kilda anymore... I walked jauntily or the door feeling stunning. Thanks J. Oh. Love his inner gay decorator... polished concrete, blank everything makes me feel transported to a magic land of mirrors, sweet scents, and magic.

I have been going to Suite J for many years . Julie has cut and coloured my hair for all of them . She is amazing , so caring and always asks me what I want . I always come out with spring in my step, feeling fabulous!!! They really care and look after me xx

My blonde hair was a hot mess when I visited Suite Jay. Not only did Jay fix it, but for a small budget he also made the colour almost to my 100% dream hair which is pretty impressive for my first appointment there. I was pretty emotional about the whole situation due to my previous experiences with other salons (that in my opinion just wasted my money and damaged my hair) but he persisted to explain everything thoroughly to me that he was doing, and also gave me advice on care for my hair which is fine to medium-fine curly ... and if anyone else has curly hair reading this, our hair can get damaged quite easily. He didn't stop till it was as perfect as he could get it. I was in the salon for 6 hours, When I was only meant to be there for three. As much of a nightmare that sounds, I know that he would have spent more money than anticipated on products but he still didn't charge me more for the time or the extra toner and colours needed. Thank you so much I just love my hair, and can't wait for my next appointment.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Jae for over a decade. I am always happy with the result and (most importantly) ALWAYS have a fabulous time and feel amazing afterward. 100% recommend!

Easily the best hairdressers in Melbourne! I thoroughly enjoy my time here every single time. I have been going to Suite J for the past 2+ years now to have great length extensions fitted. This does mean spending a fair few hours in the salon but Julie, Jae and the team always make me feel at home and I honestly look forward to my afternoons here! They really take the time to get to know you and their quality and care is top notch! They've transformed the style, and quality of my hair and I cannot thank them enough! I would 100% recommend!

This salon is a hidden gem in st kilda, I can’t recommend J enough, he is super skilled with all things hair but especially great lengths & the entire extension application process start to finish, highly recommend if you want nothing but beautiful hair with lush extensions!
