👍👍 My friend and I had such a wonderful time! Everything from start to finish was 10/10. There was a generous amount of food presented nicely, and they all tasted great. I especially love the mini sweet potato quiche and scones. We left feeling well taken care of by all the lovely staff ☺️ People often mention scones, high, Mary, staff, amazing, sweet, experience, great, Eats, Cake,

The golden high tea box from Mary Eats Cake is by far the most beautiful selection of treats we’ve ever seen. Loved the ratio of savoury and sweet options. Every little bite was full of flavour and sprinkled with gold ✨ The highlight (and every bit as delicious as expected) were the scones. Soft, fluffy goodness. Topped with jam and cream = perfection. Big thumbs up from us 🥰

We’re sooo excited to finally visited this famous High Tea place on 2nd September and we got the Bottomless Brunch set ✨ This set comes with unlimited pimms/mimosa, great selection of tea and/or coffee! There were savory bites, sweet pastries and of course the star of the show (unlimited) 🌟 Scones 🌟 Our favorite from the savory bites was the Corn Fritters - the labneh & kasundi definitely made this item popped! Our favorite sweet pastry was the Cherry Delight French Toast - such a perfect bite with a blend of sweetness and a hint of tang from the cherry. The Scones were definitely fantastic ‼️ They were very soft & light, the jam had great balance of sweetness & tartness, and the cream texture was spot on. Overall, the place was beautiful, the staff was very friendly & informative, they can cater to your dietary requirements and the food was excellent! We 100% highly recommend you to visit ASAP 🥰

We had the most beautiful experience at Mary Eats Cake! We went for an early Mother's Day catch up and did the Bottomless brunch on a Saturday morning. From the moment we walked in it felt special and elegant. Our package included the bottomless Pimms, mimosas, scone and tea as well as some delicious savoury breakfast items and some other sweet treats. All of which tasted increidble! Honestly some of the best food I've tasted and the scones were truly something from a storybook. They were fluffy, warm and sweet. It was a good thing they were bottomless because we couldn't stop eating them. The setup it's self was smart and stunning. The glasses and tea cups were really beautiful and the trays were one of a kind. However the shining stars of the morning were the staff. We had Johnathon serving us and two other lovely ladies (I'm sorry I didn't catch their names). They were always doing rounds bringing more drinks and scones with pots of jam and cream. They had recommendations for what teas went best with what and the minute our glasses were emptying they were back filling them with our alcoholic drink of choice, or bringing a new pot of tea to the table. I've been to bottomless brunches before were you feel like you have to wait and try and gets someone attention to get your next item or drink. This was not like that at all. They were so efficient and incredible with their service. Honestly top tier customer service. We are a little too many bottomless scones and couldn't finish a few of our cakes and next round of scones but they put them in a box for us to take home. The minute we sat down we were already brainstorming the next time we could come and who else we could bring. It was amazing. Thank you to Mary Eats Cake Brunswick for your amazing customer service and beautiful experience. We will definitely come again!

Attended a friend’s baby shower. Venue is pretty cute. There were many events happening there at the same time. We were offered a selection of pastries and cakesThe cakes were delicious. The seafood arancini and chicken baguette were great. I found the scones a bit dense. Staff were very attentive and friendly. There were vegetarian options as well.

After hearing so much about this place was very excited to finally try! While everything was lovely it wasn't as amazing as some other high tea places I've been so was slightly disappointed but perhaps my expectations were too high. Loved the decor definitely a cute spot.

We had the Mary’s Gold High Tea box. This is literally the perfect high tea box for two! From freshly baked scones, an array of pastries featuring both sweet and savory finger sandwiches. Everything is carefully curated with the finest and highest quality decor and ingredients. This might just be my best high tea at home experience!! 🤍

ORDERED: The Mary Package ($72.00pp) 🥪 Savoury: Moroccan chicken sandwich with roasted capsicum spread, Pulled pork slider with ranch apple slaw, Sweet potato quiche with goats cheese and onion relish, Savoury cheesecake with pea and spinach puree 🧁  Sweet: Decadent opera cake jaconde sponge with coffee liqueur syrup and chocolate ganache topped with coffee buttercream, Whipped ricotta filled cannoli with blood orange, Summer strawberry choux with vanilla cream and fresh strawberries with gold fueilletine crumb topped and baby basil 🥂  Drink on arrival 🥮  Fresh scones with jam and cream (bottomless) with raspberry jam and fresh cream ☕  Unlimited speciality teas REVIEW: Mary eats cake periodically update their menu. This is the second time I've gone, and it's better than the first! From this set, I liked their Moroccan chicken sandwich, pulled pork slider, sweet potato quiche and their fresh scones. Their food is flavourful and delicious. It's portioned into small bites so you can have a bit of everything. Surprisingly filling, especially their ginormous scone which is fluffy and dense. I benefitted from slicing it across in half, before grabbing a half to smother a bite! Truly one of the best scones I've had in Melbourne. The specialty tea is a bit plain. Oxi tea room have an array of great tea selections, so seeing Mary's 4 tea options was a little... bland. Although, Mary's selection is unlimited so you get as many refills as you want within 2 hours. Although the atmosphere was nice, the service wasn't as friendly as I hoped. They looked to be stressed under the amount of people in the full cafe, where it was very drop and go with the tea and food without much warmth. Especially with bottomless options (tea and scones), you can't expect service to end once we've received our dishes. Would've been nice to see them going around, and being more proactive about the bottomless services in a timely manner. The start was especially slow, with us overly prompting them for the welcome drinks, tea and water on a Sunday.

I recently received the Golden High Tea Box for two and I am in love! The scones were by far the best tasting scones I have had! So fresh and fluffy💖. Everything in the box was gold dusted which made the whole high tea experience really regal for me and my partner✨ The box was full of sweet and savoury items and came with two tea leave packs as well! I would highly recommend trying them out or as a gift option🎁

offering a range of high-tea packages from morning to afternoon, sweet and savoury, boozy or not - you’re spoilt for choice here! 😚 the venue is decorated beautifully. plenty of natural light, fresh flowers and charming tableware. 🫖 we were greeted and welcomed warmly into our $75pp high tea package ($69 on weekdays) which included bottomless speciality tea and scones (w/ jam and cream), a tier of 4 savoury and 3 sweet items, and choice of drink on arrival. we opted for the champagne of course - just look how big that glass is! all the food was quite tasty! 😋 we loved the chic caesar salad sandwich and pea arancini, both fresh and flavourful. the desserts were pretty sweet, the scones being our favourite which were incredibly fluffy. we really appreciated the accommodating staff who served us a tier with no egg at the last minute. while some bites fell short (tuna cone was a little soggy, eggplant slider was on the dry side), we still enjoyed every bite! you could tell the food was freshly made, and with love! I’d definitely return to try alternating menu items in future. their range of speciality teas, incredibly friendly staff, cute atmosphere and great company made our experience a lovely one! an ideal spot for functions or even just a treat, you’ll certainly feel spoilt

Went here for a friend’s 40th birthday and it was amazing. Food: Exceptionally good and beautifully presented. The selection of teas was amazing too. Ambience: Vintage with a modern touch. Exposed brick walls with contemporary furniture. There is another level to host small groups of friends. Best to go see the venue before booking as it could max out on space. It is a bit cramped to move around but I would still recommend the place. Service: Timely and efficient. Staff are really polite. It gets really crowded so booking is essential. We had the party so everything that was served also had an introduction to accompany it. Highly recommend this place for a quick catch up or mini parties.

Was here today as to celebrate the finishing of my Vce journey. The staff are so friendly and caring. I had Jonathan as my waiter and he is great! The food came out quickly. I think I had the French martini and it was lovely. Would come again.❤️❤️

My friend always wanted to try a high tea, went here for her Birthday and the food was amazing. The scones were a lemon flavour and absolutely delicious, the selection given was varied and very yummy, they let you take home the uneaten portion. We don't drink tea but the cups to drink it out of were beautiful its one level though the toilet is down a few stairs. Parking is difficult but that's Brunswick. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed the vegan bottomless brunch at Mary Eats Cake! The food was yum, and the team were so lovely (especially Lexi!). I had also asked for some disability accommodations and listed an allergy - and they were terrific on all counts. Highly recommend!

What an amazing experience !! I booked Mary Eats Cake for my friends hens night, I booked the Bridal Bliss package. It was such a beautiful venue with great service, we were all blown away by the amount and quality of the food. I highly recommend this venue for a special occasion or a mother/daughter date. The cocktails were tasty and beautifully presented. I also recommend doing the flower crown workshop if you like to be creative and want to leave with a cute memento of the event. A massive thank you to Tessa for being awesome, she was so lovely and helpful !!

A wonderful experience had. When I couldn't attend an earlier booked event, having the credit to use was really appreciated. On returning from overseas, I took the husband out for high tea, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A great experience overall. Many thanks Mary Eats Cake!

We have never heard of Mary Eats Cake before. We were going down to Melbourne to celebrate a special 10 years event and we were looking at various high tea options - what's on offer, location, price wise and recommendation. We came across this one and I am glad to say that we decided to come to Mary's ! We had a high tea about 1pm - in one of the room upstairs. It was fantastic, the staff were attentive and ensured that our food and drinks are always topped out. I can't fault the service and the food. The atmosphere of the room was only ok though, it could have been better - some places need to be touched up and tidied up (I do not need to see packaging boxes tucked away in the corner). We were in the room where this group of 6-8 people were seated after us. They were extremely noisy and loud. It was a detraction. A few of us in the other tables had to put up with it. It may be worth separating big group of loud people to those 2-3 people who were there to enjoy and catch up. Other than that,it's a great place for unlimited tea and scones.

Booking online was easy. High tea lunch to celebrate my sister’s birthday. I called to ask if they could accommodate my elderly mother and the staff member in the office was so helpful & friendly, even the request of no pork was not a problem. We loved the feeling of the restaurant, very whimsical and French provincial, loved the mis-matched china & cutlery, flowers, cushions and huge chandelier. The greeting, staff and service was professional yet very friendly, like they knew us. Made us feel at home. Champagne to start and make a toast. Each food portion was unique, every mouthful was tasty and leaving you wanting more. Small bites but so tasty & truly filling. A 2 hour sitting is the perfect amount of time to sit, eat, chat & enjoy the atmosphere. The desserts were so delicious. Loved them all. Cannoli was my favourite, if l really had to choose. We will be back Well done Mary & Co.

My husband and I had the most amazing high tea at Mary Eats Cake in Brunswick. This is a first class experience, with their delicious freshly baked scones, and pastries, to the bottomless champagne options. And the cheese board at the end, it is so good. Their service is attentive and made us feel very welcome. What more can I say…we loved it.

Lovely interior decor, staff really helpful. Food was lovely, and the tea was always hot! Nice coffees too. Could be bigger tables as it felt quite squishy with all the food and people

I was lucky enough to be gifted a stunning high tea box delivery and I can’t recommend this enough as a concept. The scrumptious feast was so enjoyable, not only visually stunning but utterly delectable, that it well and truly brightened my weekend. My only complaint is they can’t sub an item for a dietary so if there is one item in there that you can’t eat you will get eg the vegetarian box instead Original review I had my bridal shower at Mary Eats Cake on Sunday and I could not have dreamed of a more perfect event. The staff were outstandingly lovely and the food was absolutely exceptional. As someone who considers themselves a high tea connoisseur this was the epitome of exquisite deliciousness. We had taken up the alcoholic bridal bliss package with flower crown making and it all ran seamlessly. We sipped delightful coconut tea from beautiful vintage tea ware and stuffed ourselves with yummy unlimited scones accompanied by our choice of either an espresso martini or fruity vodka based cocktail. The desserts were truly outstanding and we were told the owners had been travelling Europe for pastry inspiration. As a seasoned consumer of high tea they are hands down the best sweets I’ve seen on a three tier stand. I was utterly obsessed with the lavender lemon and chocolate cake pop. Such a unique little number and unbelievably tasty. The mango sherbet cheesecake was also amazing. We opted for the seasonal rather than the traditional menu and I’m still applauding myself on such a well made choice, the macaron with rose jelly and lychee cream was just sensational. We were so ridiculously full of all the amazing creations (all made in house) there was barely room for the gorgeous looking cheese and fruit platter but I couldn’t possibly leave it untouched. I am also legitimately still dreaming of the lemon tart I pilfered from my friends vegetarian stand. I can’t even describe how much you simply must drop everything and get yourself down here. It’s the insanely brilliant new standard for high tea

I had “The Mary” high tea menu, vegan for myself, vegetarian for my partner. The food was overall really good and more than enough! Nice variety of teas as well. The lady at the entrance wasn’t really friendly but the rest of the staff was amazing.
