The service from staff is probably some of the best. Had 1 issue with a product which was refunded with no hassle. Only place i buy for my fur babies now

A bag of Black Hawk fish and potato adult dog food was $121.99 on the website but they charged me $173 at the store for it as I thought the price would be the same, so I didn’t ask how much when I went to pay. I talked to them about that issue when I came back to the store to buy supplies for my dog, and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. A few weeks later, I went to the petbarn in Point Cook and it happened again. The price isn’t matching the price on the website. I have to show them the price on the website so they can match it for me. This issue should be fix.

Had one staff member dealing with someone else and still found the time to assist me . And at the checkout had a good laugh when I bought some crickets— I asked can I return them if they don’t eat them .

Love these guys, been here previously before getting my kitten for advice and they were very helpful. Visited again today with the kitten an hour after kitten pick-up and again very friendly and helpful

Best cat toys I could find. Online shopping and delivery was smooth and fast. I recieved delivery the next day. There are not a lot of good cat toys on the market, but Petbarn's 90cm flexible handled feather tickler in bright colours is a winner. There was also some kind of frog spewing rainbow tassels that my cat loves, but I can't remember its name so you'll have to look at the pictures. Happy playing 😻😻😻

Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, gave me some free bags for moving 🐠 fish. Still available opening times, and often have sales with their pet food.

Bit smaller than other pet barns. For any aquarium needs would not reccomend. Go to aquatico or pet and aquarium warehouse instead. Pet and aquarium warehouse is better overall

I attended my first puppy school with Katie, and it was a fantastic experience. Katie's patience, extensive knowledge, and genuine love for animals made the learning process enjoyable. Visit pretty frequently for fish supplies, have never had a bad experience, the fish tanks are always kept clean and the fish look healthy. Everyone is super helpful.

Left my dog there for 2 hours and Dog did not look like she has anything done. Was told that i did not pay for the full grooming service which was not explained at drop off. They advised that i should book again for the full service. I won't be going back to Maribyrnong again.

I usually have a lovely experience at other Petbarn stores, all the staff are just so friendly and helpful. Well not at this store. The staff are so rude, and seam like they don't want to be there. Its a ghost town, I was also overwhelmed to see the caged animals locked away in those cages, especially the birds. I was told off for patting the rabbit. If I had room, I would've adopted the poor thing, just to get it out of that cold heartless place. By pass this place, and go to any other Petbarn.

Gotta say my pup and I had a great experience here today! The girl who served me (I think her name was Beth) did a fantastic job! Asked for some help choosing a harness for Bandit and she was super welcoming and helpful. She asked me what I was looking for in a harness and gave me realistic recommendations. Will definitely be back for another one once he's grown up a bit!

I recently got a bulk dry Dog food delivery wrapped in so much plastic it makes my eyes water. The original packaging IS a sturdy plastic bag. Surely placing the postage sticker on the front is enough?! Or if the graphics are an issue tape some paper to the front so you have a clear space. There is now over a square metre of yellow Petbarn plastic wrap heading to landfill for no reason. The world is warming, the oceans and landfill are filled with plastic, and it is only companies that can make these changes to stop producing all the waste. You need a policy. Although, now it's my responsibility too. I ethically have to cancel my repeat order. A lose lose for both of us. I don't have a car so it's not easy for me to pick up big items.

Staff were super friendly (although that might be the dog: she has super powers). Staff member looked after her while another helped me shop. No question to stupid, great advice. Even trimmed her nails.

1 star for the lazy work they have done on my dog. We went for a groome, basic one, short cut for 125$!!! we got our pet back with no change they just washed him! So my partner call them back and ask them to GROOME him because that's what we paid for, the lady finally accept to give another try we got there the lady that welcomed us i'm not sure her name rolled her eyes and wasn't really happy to do her job. Finally we got our dog back with haircut badly done i had to fix it myself. BOTCH JOB but for 125$ i can't allow that. So 1 star and i will never come back as they don't wanna do their job properly.

Great store, but a little disappointed by the range for bird toys? I understand that a lot of Petbarn’s focus is on cats and dogs, but I’ve seen Petbarn’s with at least one shelf full of bird toys, not just a quarter of one shelf. What was available to buy was very small for the price, very plasticky, or not even stocked on the hooks. There were a few good toy options made from natural woods and materials, but the price was off putting. Expected more from a brand where birds are 1/4 of the logo!

HEY GUYS! if you think people are going to steal you rabbit dewormer maybe put it behind the counter to avoid offending people and losing customers, all I wanted was rabbit dewormer not to be treated like a theif should have been a quick transaction, will not be back in your store & I have 2 dogs, cat, 2 rabbits & several birds, taking my business elsewhere, THANKS GUYS..

Staff at checkout were more worried about gossiping than serving the line of customers waiting for them to finish their conversation. Disappointing as the employee on the shop floor was nice.

I don't remember the last time i had a customer service experience this good. I dont normally go to the effort to write reviews, but the team down there (especially the staff member i had), were so beautiful. It was an amazing feeling to leave a store with so much confidence and help in the process i was going through with purchase of our new dog. 100% will return to leave my hard earned money here. Very helpful staff and a great range eg our dog’s favourite food and good quality grooming equipment. A staff member showed great patience in explaining a loyalty discount to me.

Do not get your dog groomed here, it’s like a backyard job and your dog will be returned still dirty and you still have to pay. I usually either get a mobile groomer (who couldn’t fit me in this time) or I wash my nonna’s dog and get his nails trimmed at the vet, where I watch and never ever have had issues at all or been told by the mobile groomer anything other than he is a timid sweet dog. Take him to pet barn for a wash, deshed and nail trim cos I don’t have time to do it myself. We get him back still smelling and looking dirty when they claimed they cleaned him, they said he was “aggressive” and they couldn’t cut his nails, but still have to pay full price even though they supposedly done half a job and a bad one at it. I’ve never ever have had issues like this before, I’m wondering how he was handled and how many other dogs were they trying to wash with him, he prob was scared and overwhelmed. Don’t bother you’re paying for your dog to have a traumatic experience and come back dirty.

We have a larger dog (Rottweiler/Doberman cross) and the two groomers were fantastic. So professional and really understood the needs of the various dogs and their personalities. They were so patient and understanding that it can be very stressful for dogs going into this environment. Its hard to find somewhere with such experienced and professional groomers for larger dogs. We wont be going anywhere else while they have such fantastic staff.
