Lovely family owned Japanese restaurant and takeaway sushi. Very fresh and delicious sashimi and sushi. Love the big variety of bento boxes to choose from. My favourite is the tempura, sashimi and unagi rice box. Friendly staff and fast service! They also sell some Japanese grocery!

I stumbled across this place a few weeks ago and I'm hooked. Firstly, they serve the most generous size sushi I've ever seen. It's sooooo fresh because the turnover of food is fast and furious. You can dine in or takeaway. If they don't have what you want - just wait because they'll make it - quickly! All tables have chopsticks, soy sauce and napkins + newspapers so you can have a read while you eat. Centrallly located in Ringwood away from the hustle and bustle of Eastland, this is a must visit place. I even bought extras to take to work the following day. Toilets are available inside the shopping complex. Lots of parking available.

I was excited to find a Japanese restaurant close by as we were in Ringwood for house inspections and missed lunch. Went to Hitoshi Sushi and ordered 2 types of ramen. Mine was chashu ramen. Chashu looked different but tasted great. Sadly the ramen broth was not what I expected and my first thought was “this is Chinese soup”; and don’t get me started on the broccoli in the bowl!!! Ahhh … I am sorry but i do not recommend this place to those who seek good Japanese food. If you are happy to eat Soup noodles, just take it for what it is. Same with the spicy hot ramen, not Japanese taste. Service was good: polite and courteous. For myself: will not return there for Japanese food.

Sensational food! We haven't had Japanese food in a long time, so we went with Hitoshi, and we are glad we did. Ordered California rolls, Teriyaki Chicken rolls, Katsu curry don, chicken curry don with a wasabi. The Nori rolls were divine. Fresh, BIG, and lots of flavour. The store made Wasabi is delicious. A small dab on top of a Nori roll was perfect. Complemented the Nori rolls perfectly. The Katsu curry don and chicken curry don bowls were BIG, and just so much flavour in them. Yes, they may be a little more expensive than some, but gee, you can certainly see why. Hands down the nicest Japanese food i have had in a long time. You will be our new regular take out.

We ordered ubereats from Hitoshi Sushi as I was craving for ramen and my two friends ordered separate bentos. This is my first experience with their store. First of all, we were very impressed with the variety of choices on the menu! But next, we were astounded by the portions! I definitely wasn’t expecting that many chicken strips on my ramen. I was also very happy to see lots of vegetables in my ramen (I know it’s not common) but I wanted a balanced meal so it was perfect! Needless to say, there were lots of leftovers for the next day. We are also very grateful for the 2 free Softdrinks they gave us. Thank you very much Hitoshi Sushi! You made our takeaway dinner (and next day’s lunch) very special and we will definitely come back for more! Review by @walksofliv

I have bought 2x "signature" bento boxes, twice. The first time, there were ingredients that should probably have not been selected. I for one would cut out the manky brown bits of avocado, rather than serve them, right? On our second try, two bento boxes we received were both beautiful, delicious, tasted fresh, and well presented. The balance of delicious to non-delicious fillers (the fish : rice ratio) is also pretty good. I think we'll be back many more times.

The place is another not fussed asian restaurant, designed to simply feed you. Well they succeeded, the food was better than expected while being good value for money, place was clean, service was efficient.

These bento’s are tasty. Great décor and a place to dine in and forget about the outside world. So, lets break it down… Atmosphere: **** Very neat, clean and somewhat intimate feeling when you dine in, as it is not a large place. The décor is very nice and almost takes you away from the hustle outside. The only drawback I could see is that if you are a sitting at the back, the tables are very close together so sometimes it feels like you're joining a random group for lunch. Well Done. Customer Service: **** Super quick to take your order and they will bring it to your table when ready. The order only took about 8 minutes to prepare and was hot & ready to eat. The service representative was friendly and courteous, hoping the I enjoy the lunch. Nice touch, great job. Food (why we are here): **** Order: Bento Box J $19.90 (Inflation is killing us atm) I have ordered this a few times and while this is certainly my favourite, it does sway between perfectly cooked chicken pieces to overcooked and dry. However, when it is perfect, it is just that. The teriyaki and honey glaze do hit spot and it is a large serving – you could probably split this between two for a light lunch and you would be satisfied. Overall: **** It’s a great place with a few short comings but overall, I keep coming back here occasionally for the Bento’s and Sushi Rolls. Both are above average, and you won’t leave hungry or disappointed. Thank you, Hitoshi Sushi.

I enjoy that large portion of fried rice. Lots of chicken and prawns. Sushi are extra big in size too.

Very nice bento boxes. Even though we ordered thru Uber. The presentation of the food was great! There are a lot of bento combinations to choose from and each bento has a great variety of food that tastes like they care and passionate about cooking. Cannot wait to place another order soon!

Amazingly delicious. We ordered one of the ramen dishes and the fried rice. Both smelled and tasted fantastic. Friendly staff, clean seating area. Definitely a hidden gem.
