First,
Extended
Stay
in
Downers
Grove
met
two
of
our
needs:
a
place
to
avoid
neighborhood
fireworks,
and
a
place
for
our
dog.
While
there
were
fireworks
by
the
motel,
the
sound
was
muted
and
did
not
bother
us
or
the
dog.
Second,
the
girls
at
the
front
desk
were
accommodating
and
friendly;
however,
we
booked
two
double
bed
rooms,
and
one
was
not
available.
She
was
able
to
provide
a
queen
bed
room.
Now
the
issues...I
emailed
twice
and
called
twice
about
including
the
dog,
and
never
received
a
confirmation.
Again,
the
girl
at
the
front
desk,
who
never
received
a
confirmation
from
Daphne
in
Arkansas,
indicated
it
was
not
a
problem.
The
key
cards
seldom
worked
despite
suggestions
to
pull
it
out
fast
or
pull
the
door
handle
forward
a
little
when
inserting
the
card.
The
toilet
in
Room
206,
the
double
room
my
husband
and
son
had,
backed
up,
but
did
not
spill
over;
however,
whoever
tried
to
fix
it
flooded
the
bathroom.
The
tube
did
not
have
a
stopper.
Also,
my
son
uses
a
CPAP
machine,
and
there
was
no
accessible
outlet
by
the
beds.
My
husband
and
son
were
moved
to
a
different
room,
but
it
only
had
one
double
bed.
My
son
is
pretty
large,
and
my
husband
uses
the
whole
bed...not
a
good
substitution.
It
was
fortunate
that
the
room
had
a
recliner
that
my
son
could
use.
My
daughter
and
I
needed
the
queen
because
we
had
a
toddler
with
us.
While
the
double
bed
room
would
have
been
more
ideal,
the
queen
suited
our
needs.
The
motel,
on
the
whole
was
clean,
but
very
tired
looking.
In
Rm
216
,
dressers
were
scratched
up
and
the
drawer
on
the
top
left
does
not
stay
closed
too
well,
the
TV
remote
did
not
work,
and
the
outlet
behind
the
dresser
is
loose.
I
appreciated
the
recliner
because
I
have
a
bad
back,
but
it
is
unusual
in
how
it
reclines
and
returns
to
a
sitting
position.
In
room
311
the
bathroom
door
did
not
close
tight,
and
no
stopper
in
the
sink.
Overall,
it
suited
our
needs
for
two
nights.
