I have been coming here for a few years now. The food and service have always been excellent. My wife really enjoys the chicken pita. She orders it is plain and with the sauce on the side. The chicken seasoning and texture are perfect. By far one of the better chicken pita sandwiches in the area. My go-to is the ribeye steak sandwich. It is always perfectly cooked and seasoned. All the ingredients make this a delicious sandwich. I often also order onion rings, bread mushrooms, and fries—all excellent sides. Great find. Seriously good chicken noodle soup. The portions easily feed two people. We split the pork chop dinner and still had food to go. Gyro dinner is huge! They had three Gyro Spits in the kitchen, and you can tell they go through a lot, as the meat was juicy and flavourful (some places the meat on the spit waiting for an order and can dry out, or if they pre slice it and then grill it. Yorky's was freshly cut from the spit). For dine in, Yorky's use real cutlery and large platter-size Melamine plates; it is almost a sit-down restaurant. We went back for dinner later on the week. The NY Strip was on sale for $18, normally $22. It came with salad, rice, potatoes, and garlic bread. I order my steak medium-rare and it came our medium; my husband order medium well and it came out well- order steaks one level below your desired temperature.

My family and I live up in Beach Park in Lake County and decided to take a slower route on the way back home from Oakbrook Center Mall being I strive to support local. Stumbled across this place on Google Maps, saw the high ratings and reviews and wanted to give them a try. So glad we came here and can't wait to come back. The famed Chicago/Greek grill has been servin' up superb eats since 1975 and I'm sure this joint is a local favorite for Elmhurst residents and nearby communities. Everything was outstanding at still reasonable prices, dining area was super clean and customer service was ultra friendly. I hope for continued success and prosperity for the owner(s).

Large counter-serve diner with a variety of food in a pleasant atmosphere. We came for their broasted chicken dinner plate. It took about 15-20 minutes for our meals to come up to the counter. I'm guessing they ran out of chicken and had to cook another batch. Others were not waiting as long, as they had different meal choices. Once we started to dig in, my taste buds for broasted chicken were satisfied. You get crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, and garlic bread on the side. All good, but wish there were fewer fries ( or mashed potatoes offered instead), and more coleslaw. Overall, a good experience. I would like to visit again and try their ribs, etc.

Have been ordering from Yorky's for 20+ years, and the food has always been consistent! Our favorites are the chicken breast plate, gyros dinner, greek salad w chicken, and, of course, the broasted chicken! The rice and potato sides are a great value and a family favorite! The portions are huge, served pipping hot, and they always get my order right! The staff is friendly, and we love that they've added a drive thru!

Run! Don't walk. This place is awesome. The staff is wonderful. Patient, helpful, & friendly. The food is amazing!!! I got the gyro dinner & was wowed. The portions are excellent & the quality is good. Prices arent outrageous. Update: it's been 10 months of coming here and now that I'm pregnant it's my only craving! The food and the staff never disappoint! We took everything to-go this time and I was impressed. Same giant portions, packed perfectly & made it 20 mins home hot and fresh!

Saw there fast Subaru at a car event and looked them up. Food looks delicious and owner was really nice, will have to give this place a try when I go visit Chicago area.

Everything on the menu is worth talking about but today we're pacifically going to talk about their Greek potatoes the Greek potatoes are to die for if anybody doesn't know what they are come to your Yorkys and try them! Goes really well with pork chop dinner... or the usual a gyro plate dinner! Look at how much feta cheese they give you with the side salad. WOW

It's been forever since we had Yorky's, so we had to go. We ended up getting the Gyro combo. You totally get what you pay for. It was delicious & we definitely will NOT be a stranger! BTW I loved the Greek Potatoes 😋

It was nice.. Had a lot to choose from. I had gyro with onion rings, and broasted fried chicken with fries. The gyro was like a loose meat sandwich piled really high on a pita. I appreciate the meat but would've been nice to eat the gyro as it's intended like a rolled up wrap. Chicken i heard was a little dry but it was good. They gave you a lot of onion rings and it was like a fish and chip batter coating. The servers were nice and friendly, helpful with suggestions.

Stopped by ear during the week. I used to go here a long time ago before it was remodeled. The food was much better then. My girlfriend had the gyro and I had the steak sandwich. The gyro meat didn't seem seasoned and the portion size is small. In her opinion not worth ordering again. The steak sandwich was tasty but there was alot of gristle and it was a little tough. I had double the amount of fries on my plate as she had in hers. The service was great and the girls taking the orders were very friendly. The decor of the dining room was cool with an old rustic type feel. Might go back again and try something else since I do remember it having better food. But this time I wasn't impressed

I've driven past this place many times and finally decided to stop by, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I decided to try their 2 piece Broasted Chicken. The chicken was delicious and definitely could've went in for some more. The sides were ok, but I did end up using pieces of garlic bread and coleslaw with the chicken to make a sort of slider. They do have some hot sauce available to use with the chicken but would appreciate a spicy chicken option. Definitely a place to check out if you're in the mood for some chicken.

I always get the Gyro Plate w/ rice instead of fries. I have never been let down.

I went to Yorky's for the 1st time with my sister yesterday. We ordered our food and picked it up at the drive thru. The food was excellent. It was so fresh and hot. The gentleman at the drive thru window was so polite and considerate. He made sure we had everything we needed with our dinner, like extra sauce, napkins and cutlery. I highly recommend. Great food and friendly employees. First time here had a hot dog and fries, next time I will have the broasted chicken. It looks like they are famous for it as well as the roasted potatoes. Will definitely be back.

Normally the food is good. I ordered a polish this time and was disappointed! It came on french bread. To me a polish should be on a bun. Of course bread was tough and split at bottom. Restaurant sell good food but polish on french bread is a no for me!

Food and service are great the atmosphere is fine but it is simply a lunch style setting. Great variety and wonderful dishes that you don't normally see.

A hot dog is $7!!!! We walked out. Gyros platter is $16. These people are INSANE! Dident even include a drink! I can go a few blocks north to a REAL Italian place and get a real meal for $12 bucks!

Really good food. Love the fried chicken, Greek potatoes and white rice. Was delicious and staff Really nice they just forgot a few things. This place is really busy. Only thing of course since alot of people i did have to wait a long time for my food. My order was messed up but I didn't want to say much. For instance my daughters Italian beef wasn't supposed to have cheese and it did. She ate it anyways. She stated didn't want to wait againfor the to remake. Then they charged me for hot peppers for 2 Italian beefs which I wanted but never received. I also ordered two cheese cups for dipping fries think it was $1.29 and they never gave the cheese. I eventually did say something about peppers and cheese cups and they did give them. Food was really good.

Clean, cheap, fast and good. The renovations they've done also makes it feel a bit more high class than it used to be. There's a ton of options here as well so you'll be able to find something for everybody

Everyone loved the food. The owner Sal is a great guy. My food actually got delivered a week early. He actually left a free box of chicken at the vfw and was very nice about the mistake. You can't lose ordering for your next party from Yorkys. Or even lunch or dinner.

We love this place. Prices have gone up, not much but hasn't the price of everything gone up? If your looking for great food this is your place! Great employees ready to take your order, super service, great quality food!!!

I had the baked chicken plate, and it was delicious. I think it came with a little too much food, but other than that, my husband and I liked the place.

This is really one of those places that has a great atmosphere whether there's one person there or a hundred. Wait time is pretty consistent too. I usually order the gyro meal with fries and a Greek salad. It's fairly inexpensive and they have a drink fountain too.

We golf every Sunday at White Pines and eat lunch here after. The food is amazing. Pork chops with rice,Greek potatoes and a little salad with bread. Brosted chicken, Greek chicken everything is great here. Prices aren't bad for the amount of food you get. It's all fresh and delicious. Something we always look forward to after a day on the course.

Working in the area and found this gem of a place! They have such a variety of different eats, you could eat here every day for a couple weeks and never eat the same thing twice. Staff is friendly!!!

Best grilled chicken sandwich. Service is always quick, environment is always welcoming, staff is friendly and the owners treat you like family. No complaints!
