I have been a loyal customer of Mr. Shakir for 2 years now and today I ordered half pan of mutton biryani. I was greatly disappointed that the mutton was not well cooked and also there was less quantity of mutton and the masala in the biryani as compared to the biryani I have been taking from him since the past two years. I called the store to tell them about what I got and Mr Shakir is not answering my calls. When I pay the full amount for my order, I expect to get the food worth the price I pay. I’m very upset with what has happened. It makes me feel to never go back to his store again or order anything at all. I got your reply. We called you 10 times. You told your staff member that you will call us but you never returned the call. There is not a single time that a complaint was acknowledged and taken care of. Always ghosting the customers when they need to talk and asking them to visit the store if they have any questions! This was not my fist time getting your biryani with the so called extra rice. The quantity of rice always was perfect with the amount of meat we got. Don’t blame the customer, kindly accept the fact.

If you want to do business with liars, come to Hussain catering! We were told our biryani would be ready at 5 PM. When we arrived after 5 PM - they told us to give them 20 more minutes. We came back over 20 minutes later and they said to give them another 45 minutes. We left the restaurant and called them multiple times before returning to confirm if the food would be ready by the time we arrived and they said they were finishing up the food and to give them 20 minutes and it would be ready. We arrived over 20 minutes later and the food was still not ready and the man at the counter asked me if I had anything to do nearby to give them even more time to prepare the food. They said they would send someone to deliver our food to our house in 30 minutes and that the driver would leave right after I did. We called over 30 minutes later and they said the delivery driver hadn't left yet and would leave in 10 minutes. The food ended up arriving over an hour and a half later and was tasteless! They even had the audicity to hand us a business card when they arrived! They took all of our money and promised to refund it for the terrible service and we provided our information and it has been a few days and we have received nothing. They will come up with plenty of excuses for you instead of being honest and just doing their job. Choose from the many other halal options in the Chicago area for catering if you want to deal with honest people who can do business like professionals and provide decent service and food.

I have catered from this place multiple times and I am very impressed with their food and customer service. They have never let me down. I wanted food in 3 hours made custom to what i wanted. I called every restaurant and no one agreed to make it in such a small amount of time. I called here and asked for Chicken korma, Dalcha, Bagara rice, and when I went there the food was ready. At first bite, I was so surprised! I am very picky with how food taste and this was amazing, it was by far THE BEST HYDERABADI DALCHAA I have ever had. The Chicken Korma was excellent too. Amazed me on how tasty the food was! I have tried their HALEEM AND ITS THE BEST just like 'Pista house' in Hyderabad. <THE BEST HALEEM IN WHOLE CHICAGO LAND > Please do try their food you will be very impressed with the quality and taste. Really happy that I am getting this in the suburbs, absolutely loved it!!!

Okay so we used to love this place and have spent hundreds here with carry out - the biryani, haleem, and chicken 65. But boy did Eid go wrong for us. We thought this was one of the best Desi places to get food from in all of Chicago. We ended up making a huge order here for Eid Al Adha day - 100 bucks for a haleem tray - and we got a huge tray of chicken 65. For some reason the haleem was awful because it had a very strong potent cow/lamb smell coming from it I don't know if it was some weird ghee they used or what). It was difficult to eat because it smelled so awful. Family members who usually love their haleem were not able to eat it. The chicken 65 was ok but not the best when eating it - it tasted strange and off - but what was worse was that hours later before sleeping we got diarrhea multiple times and felt nausea. We didn't associate it with the chicken 65 until the next day when we ate the leftovers of the chicken 65. As soon as we had literally just one small piece of the chicken 65 - within minutes I had diarrhea and extreme nausea. Thank God I didn't vomit because I hadn't eaten too much of the chicken 65. If I would've had just a few more morsels I most probably would've. This was food poisoning. Alhumdulilah, my children were lucky to have not eaten the chicken 65 but my husband, myself, and another family member weren't so lucky. This was terrible because other restaurants I give bad reviews to just had awful food but didn't necessarily make me sick. The chicken 65 here made me literally sick, and I'm really annoyed because if my children or elderly family members had eaten it they would've been very ill. I am extremely disgusted and disappointed about the lack of cleanliness and professionalism here. The health department should be called asap. To top it all off, the establishment called us liars when we told them what happened and has barely offered just to give us credit for the food in the future. Honestly - I don't trust them anymore, and I don't want to ever get food from them again. They need to do the right thing, and refund us our entire bill. Absolutely disgusting - Don't go here if you don't want food poisoning! Ruined my eid! I will never recommend them to anyone going forward.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Honestly I am not at all exaggerating. I came to visit Chicago from LA and one of my friend suggested this place for authentic hyderabadi biriyani. The taste is extremely authentic to it’s core hyderabadi taste. I’ve ordered chicken 65 and hyderabadi mutton dum biriyani and the taste is really really really good. The people over there are so kind and helpful. They don’t have any place for dine-in and yet they tried to accommodate us in every possible way they can. In one statement, this place have the original hyderabadi dum biriyani.

We worked with Hussaini catering on several occasions and Shakir bhai doesn’t fail to impress us with his communication skills, service, and most importantly food. Most recently, we used his services for my parent’s wedding anniversary dinner. We ordered multiple dishes, but the crowd’s favorites were gosht biryani and chicken grill platter. Will use his services again.

Very delicious food!! There Haleem was amazing...pretty much everything is really really good! Probably one of the best caterers in the Chicagoland area and suburbs. Highly recommend them

Excellent food. The Chinese however was very oily and spicy . Corn soup was red with sauce . I will stay away from Chinese . The chargha , biryani and other dishes were great and everyone loved them .

Leftover Stale Biryani. When you tell them about stale Biryani. They will blame the customer instead of acknowledging. What do you expect from Desi chacha? This guy used to work at Desi grill and pizza. No wonder why they closed down.

Ordered a tray of biryani. Quantity was reasonable, but the quality of meat was bad. Too much fat and too much Akhni.

The website price is incorrect. They should take the time to update it. While placing the order, I was provided a price and they tried charging more during pickup. After back and forth the correct amount was charged. Biryani was good. Haleem was advertised as goat but smelled of lamb. The taste was subpar. Chicken Tikka masala was good. Food was ready at the agreed upon time.

This place charges extra when you pay with card and doesn't tell you upfront.. Then they pay stupid and say well we aren't charging when in fact they are charging extra. It should be nice if they were upfront about it. Won't be returning. Ps the chicken 65 lacks salt or any real flavor. Major dissapointment

We catered their food for our wedding and it was phenomenal! Their mutton biriyani, vegetable korma, vegetable biriyani, and chana masala is delicious & full of flavor. All of our guests were impressed. The owner is very nice & accommodating as well.

Disappointed. Had it at a dawat and was amazing, ordered carryout for 185$ and was no way close. Haleem was not sticky and was like powdered paste. Meat wasnt tender in biryani. Luqmis were all soggy. Chicken 65 was only good thing. Really crushed my excitement.

Insanely delicious authentic Hyderabadi food! Ordered full trays of chicken biryani and nihari, and both items were packed with flavor and aroma. My guests loved the food and Hussein Catering has earned my business for life. Great job!

Alright place! A little niche find but worth going once. Chickens were cooked ok. You don't get the same satisfaction when you devour a really well done chicken with rice like other places in Devon. It really depends on your taste and type, this may or may not be your go-to!

I ordered the chicken 65, mutton biryani, and haleem! This is the most authentic Hyderabadi restaurant I've tried. The food is so flavorful, the portions are big, and the owner is very friendly. Highly recommend for anyone! Update: I had the mutton biryani, chicken 65, kadai paneer, aloo Gobi, vegetable and beef samosas along with gulab jamun catered. This is the best catering experience I had. The portions of mutton biryani were very generous and there was lots of meat in the biryani. Flavor was amazing and everybody loved all the dishes we ordered. Highly recommend Hussain catering for take out and catering for big parties. The food is authentic, delicious and huge portions. Very good service too.

We have been ordering mutton biryani at this place for sometime now. Although the biryani tastes very good but the quantity of meat is very less. Also the mirchi ka salan that was given with went bad by evening. We bought the food in afternoon. Don’t feel like ordering the biryani again from this place.

Got a half tray of their mutton biryani -- well-made and flavorful. But I feel the ratio of rice to meat is way off. They basically pile on a heap of plain rice all over on top of the pan -- it's just extra rice that cannot be eaten on it's own. The biryani could do with some more marination (birishta/masala). I have not tried any other items on his menu, but will update when I do.

Not 3 ⭐️ but 2.5 ⭐️ overall. Biryani was good and noting to rave about, but $175 …idk. 65 I swear was tasteless and to way too much batter. The name of the game is consistency. Period. 🫳 🎤 I’ll say which is quite hard to achieve when you try to have such high prices and subpar quality of ingredients. 🤔

I catered three back to back events with Hussain's, all of our guests enjoyed the food very much, i ordered: 1. Chicken 65 - 10/10 2. Biryani-12/10 3. Tala hua Gosh- 100/10 4. Desi Chinese- I have been craving for this for so long, but finally hussain's reminded me of the taste from back home. Their Mongolian Beef and Chicken Manchuria was out of the world-100/10 Apart from this, Mr Shaker is very humble and down to earth person, he will be my permanent caterer for all the events.

I have been to many restaurants in Chicagoland area but The food from Hussain catering is the best I have ever eaten. I would definitely recommend Hussain catering.

This is a take away restaurant specialising in Indian and Pakistani cuisines. Biryani is tasty and so is chicken and mutton dishes authentic cooking. The curry and raita that comes along with mutton and chicken biryani is mouth watering 😋 Highly recommend to try it out !
