A
list
of
reasons
*not*
to
let
Bria
care
for
your
relative,
based
on
my
father's
stay:
*Exceedingly
poor
communication
...
numerous
phone
calls
and
emails
to
staff
went
unanswered.
My
father
was
told
he
was
being
discharged
on
multiple
occasions
without
any
notification
to
the
family.
When
we
confronted
the
staff
on
this,
they
immediately
backpedaled.
*Total
lack
of
professionalism.
The
social
worker
assigned
to
my
father,
Nicole
Finley,
quit
without
notice.
She
dumped
her
caseload
on
another
social
worker
and
we
were
left
with
a
communication
gap
of
nearly
a
week
as
a
result.
The
fact
that
she
quit
without
notice
probably
doesn't
speak
very
well
to
how
employees
there
are
treated
but
it
takes
a
pretty
awful
human
to
let
that
affect
the
patients
for
whom
they
are
responsible.
Even
before
she
quit,
we
were
pretty
appalled
by
how
unhelpful
she
was.
She
also
composed
her
emails
in
an
illegible
cursive
font.
You're
not
posting
on
Tumblr,
Nicole
...
you're
coordinating
care
for
seriously
ill
people.
Maybe
try
communicating
like
an
adult?
*A
nurse
was
verbally
abusive
to
my
father
for
no
reason.
Another
nurse
told
us
explicitly
that
he
and
his
roommate
were
some
of
the
most
polite,
accommodating
patients
she'd
had
recently.
He
did
not
deserve
to
be
berated
by
this
woman.
I
hope
Bria
will
locate
this
person
and
discipline
her
appropriately.
*The
food
is
borderline
inedible,
apparently.
Tasteless,
grey,
repulsive.
*Medication
is
dispensed
on
an
arbitrary
schedule.
Both
my
father's
roommate
and
the
mother
of
a
family
friend
staying
there
at
the
same
time
went
without
pain
medication
for
hours
despite
the
fact
that
they
were
in
desperate
need
of
it.
My
father
was
given
medication
that
was
contraindicated
by
his
condition
despite
the
fact
that
we
told
staff
multiple
times
that
it
was
not
necessary
(and
might
actually
be
harmful).
*Their
physical
therapy
department
is
a
joke.
Charging
patients
400
bucks
a
day
out
of
pocket
to
get
on
an
elliptical
machine
for
20
minutes
is
really
obscene.
*There
was
one
excellent
nurse,
who
was
very
kind
and
helpful,
so
that
was
appreciated.
But
she
was
the
exception
to
the
rule
...
the
rest
of
the
staff
were
awful.
This
place
is
basically
an
early
20th
century
asylum
...
full
of
screaming
patients
and
angry,
unhappy,
sometimes
abusive
employees
who
are
largely
indifferent
to
the
welfare
of
the
facility's
residents
and
their
families.
Steer
clear
if
at
all
possible.
