I’m from NY & have tried many bubble tea places over the years… but none of them have even come close to Kuma! If you’re looking for authentic bubble tea & enjoy the taste of high quality tea, this is the place for you. The employees are super friendly & made sure to make the drink to my liking. The classic Kuma milk tea with 50% sweetness is my absolute favorite! I always make sure to make a few trips to Kuma whenever I visit Michigan but I wish there was a spot like this closer to me in NY. I was just there a few days ago & I already can’t wait to come back!! 😍

Had a wonderful experience here and the tea is so fresh and not overly sweetened. I loved the staff and they were able to give me suggestions because I am not super familiar with boba and teas. I definitely will be going back! I also loved the glass cups, and definitely loved the aesthetic.

The first time I visited, I wasn't so thrilled with the beverage I received. I reached out, and received a prompt response which included a complementary beverage so I could try another offering. This time around I got the seasonal Cherry Blossom Milk Tea. My taste buds won't stop thanking me (: Great service, I'll definitely be back to try some of the other options!

The mango strawberry green tea with tapioca pearls was absolutely amazing and looked very appetizing.

I had the banana milk tea with some spicy tots. The drink itself was good because it had real bananas blended into it, which was a surprise. The boba was fresh and had good texture. The spicy tots were well seasoned and delicious, although, I wished they were a little crispier. The tots were falling apart trying to pick them up. I will say that kuma is a bit pricier compared to other bubble tea places. Most likely due to the fresh ingredients and eco friendly cups (glass jars), but overall, I'd say it's a place worth checking out if you like bubble tea!

My absolute favorite place to get my Boba drinks!! I always come to this place with my friend. We tried a lot of different Milk Teas and smoothies and they all were great. I never was disappointed and the staff is always super sweet. My favorite drinks are the coffee Milk Tea and The Mango Strawberry Green Tea. Other favorites are Thai Milk Tea and The Hong Kong Milk Tea. Hong Kong tastes like a childhood drink and always very nostalgic and brings back memories. Their tapiocas are always well cooked and taste incredible. We keep the glass jars every time we go and we get a discount. I highly recommend!

I love Kuma boba! Their milk teas are amazing. It’s totally worth the drive out there. I love how they give you the bubble tea in a glass cup. They have a variety of milk teas, lemonades and slushies. Be sure to check them out and follow @7alalindetroit for more food spots especially Bubble tea!

My favorite bubble tea place. They dont taste artificial and full of sweeteners!! All the ones Ive tried taste fresh and quality. My usual is the strayberry milk tea with mango jelly. I have also had the tapioca pearls from here, I typically dont like them at other places but they're so yummy here! I also love the sustainability of the option to bring back the cups that are glass. Just always a 10/10 and I can't wait to go back already!

Went for drive thru, the girl requested some time before taking the order. She was nice. Took around 5 minutes. Ordered the pink lemonade with shimmering powder just for the fancyness lol. It was an added cost.

Decor is minimalist, the reusable boba cup is very cute..but only useful if you live close enough to come back and actually reuse it. No disposable options and while I love eco-friendly most drinks being $7, with no bursting bubbles/popping pearls options and that they only have a single smaller size feels like a bit of a letdown in an area with bubble tea places everywhere. They were also out of boba when we were there (making more) so that would have been another 20 minute wait. Bobarista convinced us to get the Butterfly Lemonade which was a just really tart.

I absolutely loved this place! It is a bit more pricey since glass bottles are used, but that's understandable. The atmosphere is good, I had good experience with service. Pictured are the menu (May, 2023), iced Thai Tea with boba, mango smoothie with lychee, and spicy tots. I would definitely come back here again!

I love this place and all that they have here. I was abit sad that my metal straw did not have a logo on it. I wanted to replace my missing one. But the drinks were wonderful as well as all the food we received. Awesome staff as usual.

I got the almond milk tea with original boba. I've never had it with crushed almond inside! That was a new spin for me and I really enjoyed it. I still can't get over the fact that you automatically get a reusable GLASS cup with your drink versus having to buy one separately if wanting a reusable cup. I wish there was a Kuma Boba in Grand Rapids!

My favorite milk tea in Michigan. Been coming here for the last 3yrs. Real ingredients and superior customer service. I’ve never once had a single complaint or issue. Reasonable prices (compared to where I live on the west side now) yet other boba places taste cheap in comparison. I appreciate that everything comes in glass. I’ll keep them as propagation vases or I’ll turn them in for discounts.

Since I was craving some boba in the area, I decided to check out Kuma after seeing the amazing photos online. In comparison for pricing, it's a more higher end option for boba in the area. Friendly staff and good quality drinks. It's a great spot to go if you're feeling like a special treat or a casual spot to hangout. There's a great variety of drinks to choose from and lots of pictures which was helpful in the decision making. Overall, I highly recommend coming to visit.

Great place, perfect bubble tea as it should be. The jar idea is a great competitive advantage and very smart compared to other places. My wife asked me that this would cost the business more, I asked her, next time when we will go for a bubble tea where do you want to go? She said here. "Kuma Boba"

I got the banana milk teas and it was delicious tasted exactly how it’s suppose to. I also love that they give you glass jars instead of plastic cups while also maintaining a very reasonable price for they’re drinks.

For $7 a pop, I was hoping this would be decent...or even passable. I ordered a hot, almond milk tea just earlier tonight. The server advised not to drink it right away or to be careful as it was hot. So I decided to drive past a few traffic lights before I sipped. I don't know how to explain this but, the powder did not dissolve properly. The drink was very hot so the powder should've dissolved. I thought I'd go home and shake it up more.... but that did not do the trick. I think something is amiss with their almond powder or too much was added in, because this drink was GRAINY and GRITTY. If I wasn't already a few miles away, I would've asked for a refund. It is a hard pass for me, will not be a repeat customer.
