Back & better than ever!!! This place is a hidden gem. Local, fresh, excellent ingredients, and a ridiculous amount of flavour. Soooo good. Lobster Ravioli, Gnocchi, Octopus salad - some of the best you will ever have!!!

About a block and a half north of busy Las Olas boulevard, this small modern Italian restaurant is definitely a very good choice for fresh pasta, gnocchi, wraps, and salads. We had a little bit of a situation when we walked in at 6pm without a reservation. The place only had two other people eating but I guess we threw them for a loop. Even though their website says nothing about a reservation, I would strongly recommend having one just in case. The place is small and maybe that’s why they got flustered when we showed up without a reservation. We actually almost walked out because we didn’t understand what the big deal was. We were sat and our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. As an appetizer we ordered a bruschetta with blue cheese. It was delicious! With prosciutto and walnuts and Gorgonzola cheese. The lasagna is what they are known for so we tried that and the spaghetti carbonara. Everything was fresh and what I was most impressed with was that every single bite was tasty. The pasta was al dente, the ragu on the lasagna was yummy. We are coming back to try their pizza and other items but this time, we will make a reservation. There is no need to make the staff or the guests uncomfortable.

Amazing experience at Sapido. We’ve experienced lots of great restaurants and food. Sapido is truly an authentic Italian restaurant. It was a pleasure to enjoy such a great meal. Simone was an incredible host.

Easily the most authentic Italian spot in Fort Lauderdale. From their diverse menu of pastas, antipastos, to pizzas, every dish feels like a culinary journey to Italy. I’ve been a regular for months and have yet to be disappointed. Recently, I had their spaghetti Pescatore, and it was the best I’ve had outside of Italy. Kudos to Chef Luca for nailing the perfect balance of red sauce and garlic (amazing chef by the way) Don’t miss out on their homemade biscottis, freshly baked which pair perfectly with an espresso to round off the meal. Today, I tried the branzino and it’s simply amazing. Check out the attached pictures for a visual feast!

Cute small Italian cafe with fabulous food. Was on my way back from Las Olas and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Food was excellent. Fresh homemade pasta and the pizza was delicious with a nice crisp crust. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently discovered Sapido, a small but excellent Italian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, and it was an absolute delight! The pasta is homemade and cooked to perfection, and the menu is small but incredibly delicious. The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant absolutely perfect, and it was clear that the owners from Italy have kept it traditionally authentic. I can confidently say that it's the best Italian restaurant I've ever visited in Fort Lauderdale. I would highly recommend Sapido to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience.

Such a great place! I've been wanting to go for awhile, ended up being in the area mid day and it was the perfect time to squeeze in! Food was great, we were able to sit outside with our dogs, and vibes were perfect!

A phenomenal meal and great experience is the least I can say. The wine was great and the ambience relaxing. The portions are not the biggest but the dishes pack a lot of flavor and the Mediterranean salad was one of the best I’ve had in a months. Seating wise this is not a large place but I prefer these nice romantic type setups where you have good energy while enjoying your meal.

I feel like I was in Italy. Everything is coming from Italy. Pastas were very delicious! We got spaghetti alle vongole and spaghetti alla carbonara. Highly recommended!

Excellent fresh food and fast polite service. We had Burrata caprese, Lasagna alla Bolognese, Spaghetti with pesto. Dessert was Tiramisu and Profitteroles. Absolutely fantastic food! I love fresh home made pasta and they delivered. Small cozy location with limited parking. Most highly recommend eating at Sapido.

Had an excellent meal here in this quaint Italian restaurant. Serves 26 and is a welcoming alternative to the places on las Olas that dont even make their own pasta! Started with the Meatballs in a wonderful homemade tomato sauce that I didn’t have to adjust. Loved them! Had the Lobster Ravioli which was filled with lobster on a light oil/wine sauce with shrimps. Perfect since i just wanted to taste to pasta and the filling anyways. My wife got the Porcini Mushroom raviolis, and although it tasted great, it needed more mushrooms and sage. Run by sone great guys from Italy so you know they use authentic Italian products.

Great small Italian place with really good food and wine. Service was excellent and attentive. There are limited inside and outside seating options since the place is very cosy in size. We didn't like the outside area but other patrons seemed to prefer them over inside.

If you're looking for a genuine Italian dining experience in Ft. Lauderdale, look no further than the quaint and cozy little restaurant in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, on 8th St, Sapido, that I recently discovered. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a comfortable ambiance that sets the stage for a truly delightful meal. What sets this restaurant apart from other Italian eateries in town is the authenticity of its dishes. The menu is full of homemade pastas, hearty meat dishes, and fresh seafood options that are all prepared with traditional Italian methods and ingredients. The flavors are bold and rich, yet also have nuances that showcase the attention to detail and genuine passion that goes into every plate. One of my favorite dishes is the Lobster Ravioli, which is an absolute masterpiece. The lobster is cooked to perfection with a blend of spices that make it simply irresistible. The pasta dishes are also amazing, especially the Ladagna, which is the perfect mix of savory and sweet flavors. The staff at this restaurant is also outstanding, Mario, our server went above and beyond to make sure that each we felt welcomed and at home. He was happy to offer recommendations and suggestions for dishes or wine pairings, making our visit feel like a personalized experience. Overall, I highly recommend Sapido to anyone who values authenticity, quality, and an overall fantastic dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving some delicious Italian fare, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The combination of authentic cuisine and warm hospitality make it a true gem in the Ft. Lauderdale dining scene.

This pasta is hands down fantastic! The flavors are sublime, portions are perfect (not American huge), and the staff is friendly. I didn’t give five stars, because the wine selection was slim, a restaurant boasting authentic handmade pasta should have some show-busting Super Tuscans, I didn’t find those here.

I recently stopped by a local Italian restaurant around the corner from where we live, and I have some mixed feelings about the experience. The atmosphere was definitely a plus, with a small yet cozy setting that made for a comfortable dining environment. The staff was exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. Unfortunately, the food itself was just alright. The pasta we tried lacked the flavor we were hoping for, and the pizza, while not terrible, was somewhat bland. Additionally, the prices seemed a bit high for the quality of the dishes, which made it feel somewhat unreasonable. Another issue worth mentioning was the lighting situation in the restaurant. There was a noticeable fluctuation in brightness that occurred consistently throughout our meal, which proved to be a bit annoying. It would be great to see this addressed in the future to improve the overall dining experience. All in all, this local Italian restaurant has a nice setting and wonderful staff, but there's room for improvement when it comes to the food, pricing, and ambiance. If they can work on these aspects, it could become a neighborhood gem that we'd be happy to visit more often.

Real Italian food in a beautiful little restaurant. Family owned from Italia. Fresh made pasta in house. Spaghettini alle vongole amazing! Carbonara, divine! Tiramisu, a must have.

Handmade Italian cuisine with quiet local charm. With something for everyone (even vegan & gluten free) this “ain’t no Olive Garden” and you can expect a decent drink and dessert menu to round the edges. Pizza’s and homemade pastas are the go-to choices. Not a large footprint/ space but not too loud and cramped.

Ate at Sapido last night. Cute restaurant, great service. My husband had spaghetti with clams which was amazing especially the fresh pasta. I had the best lasagna ever (pictured)! And I make lasagna and my husband frequently makes fresh pasta. That lasagna will haunt me! Don’t miss this place!!

I thought I reviewed this spot already but Google doesn't agree...Apologies for any duplicarion...😊 Food was definitely delicious. We had the meatballs (OMG) and a pizza to start before our meals. The meals did not disappoint. I assume everything is either hand made or made to order. This spot is tucked away from all of the crowds of Los Olas and at the bottom of the apts I stay in when I'm in town. Only thing missing is a cocktail menu...wine was the only "adult beverage" option and most of us don't drink wine.

I picked this place based on it’s wonderful reviews for my 38th wedding anniversary. We were a total of 4 people dining. Immediately we felt an unwelcome feeling and experienced a very cold service throughout our dining experience. The table directly behind us were definitely treated with a very warm service so it was possible for them to provide the same for us. It’s truly a shame because the food was great and the place though very small was cozy. I was hoping to enjoy not just my food but my dining experience for my special occasion. However the management seemed indifferent towards providing this positive experience 😏

Very good local Italian food. I came here for lunch and ordered a cappuccino and a prosciutto de Parma sandwich. The sandwich was very delicious and so was the cappuccino. A good little spot for a quick bite to eat and to grab a coffee. The service was excellent as well. I will be back here again for dinner and I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area.
