What a fantastic area! I really like going and needed to give this a great review. It is a wonderful environment with lots of things to do. Different kinds of restaurants, places to have a snack or treat and plenty of places to shop. There were even some really great rooftop places that had wonderful views. Pro tip for parking to fish the pier! Park in the parking garage across the street from the pier. Take the parking ticket to the pier pay $6.00 for fishing the pier, the staff will validate your ticket so the garage parking is only$5 for all day long parking! If you park anywhere else it will cost you big for just a few hours of parking. Now to the pier. I got there late in the morning and fishing was slow but it was my first time there. The people, the staff were super friendly as most fisherman are. I was 1 of a few who actually was catching fish. The weather was nice and the view of the clear water was awesome. Great family fun place to go. Definitely worth a trip to see the sights and feel the ocean breeze!

I wanted to find a pier for a sunrise shoot so I ended up at Pompano Beach Pier. I absolutely loved it. The parking was an easy walk to the pier and despite its beauty, there was nearly no one out at sunrise. The pier itself is very beautiful and it had a very ominous look to it since the sun was largely covered up by clouds to start the morning. The beach is well maintained and clean and it made for the most beautiful sunrise once the sun come from behind the clouds. This was one of the beaches I could sit at for hours if I had time. I loved my experience here and I would highly recommend for sunrise if you have the time.

Amazing beach with a lot of food options and a pier. Absolutely beautiful views and it was clean. Seemed like a good family beach, the beach is pretty clean and has a kids park as well. It has lot of parking so you should be able to find something. The pier is really nice and has 2 birds which is very known to the locals. The food options are pretty good and has a tiki bar restaurant on the beach.

Clean, beautiful and free to visit. We loved talking to the fishermen! Great fun to watch them catch fish. It’s quite an amazing place. Benches to sit on and enjoy the view. Try your luck at fishing by renting the gear and purchasing the bait at the beginning of the pier.

Newly renovated. This pier is beautiful. One of the best looking ones here on the east coast of Florida I have been to. Water looked amazing. Plenty of beach to hang out and soak up the sun. There is a few restaurants nearby. They also have a bait shop on site for the fisherman. Parking is available but limited and you have to pay.

A really nice place to have a walk, watch the fishers or just gaze at the wonderful view. Very well-maintained pier with cute piece of arts on both sides, and huge blue canopies. The beach close by is nice abd clean, and the many restaurants in the area were all packed.A kids play area and an outdoor gym were close by.A well-designed parking building is across the street. Its the perfect place for a family to spend the day !!

Gestapo would not allow us to walk out on the pier. Required me to have a face mask even though I have a medical mask exemption. Very rude and unfriendly. Guess who won't ever bother with this pier again when there are so many that are open up and down the coast. My money spends elsewhere for sure!! This pier will never get any of it!!

Pompano pier is so pretty. They did such a great job with the shading. And the end with the open deck. It’s free unlike the Lauderdale by the Sea location. They have a quaint little bait shop and it cost six dollars to fish. Surrounded by Great restaurants. This is a wonderful place to take an after meal stroll.

Moved nearby recently and today I got to check out the new Pompano pier and surrounding fishing village and it was absolutely amazing! I was stunned with how beautiful everything was designed. The pier itself is wide and long and a good 30 feet up from the sea, providing beautiful views of the turquoise blue waters below and the lighthouse in the distance. Pictures of local fish and bright blue tarps cover the walkway. I love that there are benches for sitting with a good book or taking in the fresh air. An absolute gem that fits perfectly with the new fishing village complex. Definitely a new favorite spot!

Pompano Beach and Pompano Beach Pier are well though our and nice areas to experience. The pier is free to the public and has plenty of benches and educational fish paintings. On either side you have a gorgeous beach and great restaurants. Great way to spend the day or afternoon.

Pompano Beach has definitely made a big change for the better as we've seen in approx 2yrs now. The Pier was perfect for a stroll to catch and sunrise OR yes a sunset. It's free and the views are priceless. You can pay a small fee to fish and they have specific areas set fishing to clean up etc. There's lots of restaurants around to suit your budget and taste and parking fees are way better than neighboring cities. So place to take your family or for a romantic stroll with your special someone.

Beautiful new pier with beautiful views I went with my family and we had a great time. I highly recommend stopping in and if your hungry or thirsty going into the lucky fish because that’s a great place right next to the pier.

Beautiful pier! This is my fourth time being there The scenery is breathtaking, I happen to see a sting ray when I was there so that was exciting. It's a wonderful place to take a stroll after eating from nearby restaurants or just to take pictures, also, if you want to fish, it's the right place to do so. Pompano Beach Pier is the hot spot in town. Free entry to walk around and enjoy the beautiful views, or drop into the bait shack and get yourself some fishing gear. Rent a bucket with a fishing pole and bait for around $25. The Pier has multiple shade sails that provide plenty of shade. Enjoy the cool breezes when you're under a sail. The pelicans are super friendly but they'll eat your bait in a flash so be careful. Lots of room for plenty of fishing poles so don't worry. Easy access to the best restaurants and bars. The beaches are some of the best in Florida. Don't miss out on a visit to Pompano Beach Pier, it's well worth the trip 👍

The remodeled pier is absolutely stunning. There is a beautiful viewing area at the end of it as well as many spots for fishing. There are also many great restaurants in the immediate vicinity. I love what the city did with the project.

Beautiful pier! No cost. Beach had alot of seaweed, but otherwise it was clear & warm. I don't recall seeing any lounges/umbrella to rent. Restrooms close to pier. Grounds around the pier are pretty. There was a restaurant right by the entry of the pier. Parking was easy.

😲Wow as a fellow resident this was my first time checking out all the updates done to pompano Beach pier. I was blown away with all the brand new construction and the setup is absolutely amazing. They have so many restaurants if you want an ocean view while sipping on your drinks or if you want something more fancy. it's a fun place to walk around with your family as they have a really nice kids play park. We wanted to go to the restaurant Lucky fish but the line was really long probably will be better after spring break. ❤️❤️

This place is awesome. There are plenty of fishing spots. I haven't seen anyone catch anything, but I'm not there every day. People are nice and considerate. There are restaurants and bars around the area to get drinks and food, I have seen a few walk-up windows to order from too. There is overhead coverage as well in case you need to get out of the sun. It is kept clean as far as I could tell. I recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

Great beach to visit and relax, however there are sharks here thar hunt in very shallow waters just 7 ft from the beach in only 4ft of water so be careful. But overall one of my favorite soflo beaches on the east Atlantic side.

I used to visit this pier a lot when I lived in pompano between 2011-2014. I moved away and came back, and it's really been built up. There are restaurants and more hotels now surrounding the pier. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because now you can not access the pier until 7 am. Before, it was always open. I would go about an hour before sunrise to watch the sky change and listen to the wildlife. Now it's not open until the sun is basically up, and they do charge you to fish off the pier now.

The pompano beach pier is beautiful and a place to go and clear your head. The air is beautiful it is sandy and beautiful. The lifeguards are very attentive. Please watch your children though and i suggest having them wear long swimming pants and long sleeved shirts. They have alot of jellyfish there and it will sting the kids. It looks blue and seems like a toy or a piece of ribbon but it is alive and is real. It will wrap around the kids quicker than a second. Although the sting is not fatal it may burn for 30 mins to an hour and for kids with pre existing conditions it may be a harsher reaction. There were lots of them. The life guards are amazing once my daughter was stung he jumped into action and sprayed her with something that made the burning less. Overall it's a beautiful place.

It took a while to get parking. I wanted to get onto the ocean so I wear my swimsuits and my mask 😷. But when I got to the beach it was full with people and some of them not wearing any mask at all so I run out from there.

Pompano Beach is unrecognizable and absolutely one of our favorite beaches! The new restaurants and shops located at the pier are what we have needed for a long time. Great location with active people of all ages!

I think the renovated version is amazing. They pier is so much wider. The only true downfall is that they close super early 10pm. Honestly, its a great location, i would highly suggest going even in day time because they have shaded areas and a well-design fishing hole.

On this adventure we visited the pier and enjoyed the views. This pier is pretty clean and has not suffered the weather and birds as yet.
