3.5 stars. A fairly easy to navigate airport. Clean restrooms and decent dining options. One thing that initially appeared to make this airport stand out was there was an electrical outlet for every 4 seats so you could charge your phone, tablet, laptop, etc. during your layover. This was misleading though. I picked a seat and plugged in my phone and nothing happens. I switch to another group of seats and plug in and again no charge is happening. So after trying the third group of seats I remembered I had a battery and just charged from that. It was then that I saw an outlet with a small blue LED light shining meaning it was working. Looking around there were only about 10% of the outlets with a blue light on it. So I’m watching people sit down and plug in and not really paying attention so I have to tell them that they have to find an outlet with the blue LED on in order to charge anything. So that is pretty much how I spent my 3 hour layover there.

Going through security at Fort Lauderdale International Airport is secure but smooth. The flow of travelers goes quickly and easily with the respectful staff. Our flight was out of terminal 1. There were plenty of eateries to choose from plus a variety of shops. The crowds are at a minimum & plenty of opportunities for social distancing. This is one of our favorite airports because of the smaller crowds, easy to navigate & the amenities available while you wait to board.

This is Such a Nice Big Airport. It’s good for long lay overs it’s like a little mini mall. The stores that are inside are really Florida 😊. It very clean to say it’s so huge, most big places tend not to do so well with the up keep of cleanliness. There are lots of places to charge your phone or laptop while on a lengthy layover. The staff there were very friendly, and helpful. It’s one of my favorite Airports to fly into . It’s a whole experience keep up the great work

Fast and efficient TSA. Usually no lines. My recommendation is that the terminals be connected after security. This has been working well at Logan international. The Delta terminal is only yards away from America Airlines. This is a necessity in all airports where possible.

Loved how quick it was to move from the gate through to doors to ride share. Very very nice. (Can't believe that many people will stand in that long of a line for Starbucks) Was cool seeing Disney cruise ship departing as we descended to the airport

Clean airport. Great and smooth security. Many eating spots. Chargers in many of the seats while you wait. The only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is because when we landed there we read the screens on the various areas to pick up luggage. We waited and waited and then a lady that recognized us from her flight walked by and told us they had changed the carrousel. The screen was still showing pick up where I was. We were telling each other word of mouth. Other than that I loved flying there. Way smaller than Orlando = less crowds. They also have at least one pet relief area per terminal.

This airport is very easily accessible off of i95 or the turnpike. Signs are labeled with large letters and pictures and there are plenty of them to let you know where you need to go. Dropped off a passenger at terminal 1. Lots of room to unload and had no issue leaving the ajrport.

Great airport, easy to get into, plenty of staff to take care of you, and very clean. We flew into FT. Lauderdale on our way to Key Largo, which is an easy drive. Highly recommend this airport.

At this airport, on a connection from Nashville to Houston on a bad airline (Spirit). Very disorganized and crowded. Flooded on 4/12/23. Closed down for 4 days. No one from the airlines helped any of the stranded travelers. It was a disaster. We spent most of the night roaming around looking for a spot to sleep. Had to sleep on cold hard floors, shivering all night. No humanitarian aid from the airport offered whatsoever. Felt bad for the old and frail, the families with young children with no place to rest. But I had my son to take care of. Fortunately, I remembered an old friend and he came to our rescue. If we hadn't had him in the area, we would have been stuck there with no relief for days. The restaurant/store hourly employees just wanted to bail, although I could sense some with sympathy for us. (I totally understood they were concerned for their families). The airport wifi was also sporadic and unreliable. Not enough ports for electronics.

Airport always clean and organized. Good option or my best option flying out of south Florida. See few pictures of inside and enjoy great view from the sky.

I have been traveling via this airport for more than 15 years, I have nothing but complements. Once I became a mom, I had no idea on any rules when you travel with kids. A TSA person was able to explain a few things to me, that made a every trip after that amazing and smooth. I knew exactly how to pack for my little one. I learned that once you travel with infants you need to arrive earlier, since when you go through TSA you are not rushing. Because of the milk and everything we carry for our little ones, they need to test everything for our own benefit. I am so happy for a great airport and airport staff. If you have dogs , they even have a bathroom facility for them. If you are breastfeeding they have a private place where you can do it.

The airport is fantastic. Everything rolls smooth. The problem this weekend was with Spirit. We, along with about everyone else, are stranded. Be warned when using Spirit. And most of all always have a Plan B in case Plan A doesn't work out.

Not bad just I do not like they have the terminal sectioned off so I will have to say good bye to your love at the door so they can get to there flight and you can get to your ✈️ living you unable to sit together before your flight. But clean so far for me great customer service.

Very clear instructions from the gate. Well the start. Every single sign was well lit and large. Best I've ever seen. The flight was late to board but hey, it happens. No fuss. So when we did board, I asked one of the flight attendants about wings. Those little plastic ones, nostalgia reasons. SHE GOT THEM FOR ME BEFORE WE EVEN TOOK OFF. Service was freaking fantastic. I was sat next to basically two sweaty lineman, and after asking about a possible seat switch, the guy helped me out instantly and made my wish come true. Say what you will about American Airlines, they treated me right. They also didn't wake me up like some other airline did once.

First time in Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport. Mix feeling but I guess I’m accustomed to larger airport or the easy and convenience of Tampa International Airport. I’ll return and see if my departure is smoother. Very nice tribute to the Military.

Very nice, could use more care on arriving passengers offering more sanitizing stations, a smile and nice attitude. Those were all missing at the airport, that looked under development and actually has been there for years. I believe they can do better, it doesn't cost anything to smile and be polite, a good atmosphere shows happiness, respect and appreciation. Hot food was no where to be found after 5pm, family with children struggled to find something to feed their children. This was my personal experience on September 22, 2021. Hope it gets better, need help, I can provide incites on how to get this done by making simple changes and educating the staff.

Awesome airport, easy to navigate, and clean. There are many airlines serving here, so you can go anywhere no matter what. Good selection of food and drinks to keep you awake. Security was quick, easy, and friendly. Only complaint I have is that if your flight switches gates, it’s gonna be a long walk.

Nothing bad to say about the airport. Have been using this airport for a long time. The traffic isn’t as bad as Miami airport, usually the pick ups and drop off are faster. The check in baggage line moves quickly as well. Same goes with security check line as well. There are a bunch off decent options for food to choose from. The airport is well maintained as well. If you are in the area, consider this airport if the prices are better from here.

FLL is a pretty decent airport. Flights and passengers were managed pretty efficiently. We passed through security extremely quick and made our gate with no issues. Staff members from rental car employees to airline gate attendants were kind and helpful.

First time through here; had a 5hr layover. It is a nice airport: COVID safety precautions in effect, clean bathrooms & nice restaurants. It was easy to navigate. There is construction going on at Customs, so no electronic clearance, all face-to-face right now. We probably spent, close to 1-1.5hrs grabbing our bags and getting cleared. Seems they have taken the feedback seriously and they have/are making changes. I think I fly through here again.

This airport is an embarrassment. People used to use this airport as a substitute for flying to and from miami but this airport is so much worse. From TSA to baggage pick up, it’s obvious the airport is not appropriately staffed. There are people sleeping on floors, waiting for luggage to be unloaded for long period of time. And this is on a regular Sat with no weather delays. The County Commission should be embarrassed.

Well-designed, large airport with mostly helpful staff and efficient operations. Lots of restaurants and shops throughout each terminal. Great rental car setup and good views of city from many areas of the airport.

Here June, 2023. Was lucky to find parking space. They have day parking at $15. Also have hourly parking. Check in was ok. Wish they have more print boarding passes machines. Security check in was ok too. There was line but not too long. There was charging plug at some of the chair. Overall was a good airport to fly out.

Terminal 1 was awesome when I passed through. Leaving, I was at terminal 2. 7pm 80% of the food stores were closed. This side (where you wait at gates) has a strange atmosphere but I am not able to describe exactly why. Relieved to see outlets in the waiting chairs. Staff was friendly though, and I appreciate the humor at TSA customs, great people! Travel date june 3, 2023

Everything pretty much went smoothly, until getting stop for having a Mont Blanc Pen πŸ–ŠοΈ in our carry on, the TSA guy literally took the pen apart and asked what it was, we said it was a pen, ya know to write with, it’s just wild to me how we got through at other airports and then here getting stopped for having a writing utensil. As for the TSA app having a pen is allowed on a checked bag and a carry on.

Decent size airport. Lots of construction going on I hope it is better in the future. I did notice that a drinking fountain someone was filling up a water bottle and left it there. It was there the whole time I was which was about 3-4 hours. I would live since more attention to cleaning. Security was quick.

Overall pretty easy airport. Only gets busy at weekend. Facilities are pretty new. Kids play area is futuristic.

Lines were short for such a busy airport. A LOT of flights were canceled because of bad weather. Staff seemed to be handling the stress well. We ate at a couple of restaurants, and the food was great for airport faire. I apologize that I don't remember the restaurant names.

One of the best airports to get in and out quickly with little hassel. Never had to look far to find an employee who could help ask a question or get directed in the right direction. Amazing service helping guide me through the airport with my little ones as well!
