The owner LADY charged twice even not crowded at that time just one customer that was me only in the store. Once I noticed she didn't even say sorry it's really ridiculous The old man need vocation he was so rude I won't go back this business Such a worst customer service.

Best veggie falafel wrap I've had in Oakland, prices are good and service is super friendly, the menu has alot of options and they have indoor/outdoor seating available. It's also a pretty cool market where u can pick up groceries too. Definitely coming back.

UPDATE, FEB 7TH 2022: Still a killer, Al-Maida ("The Table Spread with Food"), is STILL rocking the best Halal in Oakland. Soo Clean, fresh and tasty, tis almost qualifies as diet food, but it's too yummy to be that. It's just really healthy. The Hit: Chicken Tikka Combo plate, with rice or Naan (Get the garlic Naan if you like more flava) This place is a hidden gem in North Oakland serving some of the best fresh halal food in the East Bay, in a relaxed setting, that a lot of people just pass by during their commute. I ordered a seekh kabab, with garlic naan, aloo tikki, and a salad that comes with the kebab. I watched them make the Naan right in front of me, and the food was tasty fresh and delicious, and really on the clean side of eating, lightly spiced and fresh with not too much salt or oil. This place is fantastic and I highly recommend it!

This hidden gem is inside a small grocery bodega. The delicious authentic Pakistani food is cooked fresh - I saw the naan oven when I was there! It's well worth the very reasonable prices they're charging for these delicious dishes - don't miss out on the samosas!

This place had amazing food. The Indian food selection was deep. All the things. Rice had saffron and allspice. Yum Honestly it was much better than some of the more hipster places around and definitely more authentic. Its also a store! The store is great and has Middle eastern and western products along with a great drink selection Get the mango Lassi

I recently stumbled upon this Indo-Pak grocery store while searching for good biryani in the area, and it turned out to be an absolute delight! Not only does it offer a wide range of groceries and spices, but it also boasts a small eatery/food market within the store that serves some of the most delicious Indo-Pakistani food. Two standout dishes that I highly recommend is the Lamb Biryani and Chicken Tikka. The chicken is cooked fresh in the tandoor,is an absolute winner paired with some freshly baked garlic naan. The biryani was very authentic in my opinion. They also have special items on Friday. The staff and the store owner are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to assist and provide recommendations for specific ingredients or dishes. The eatery area is small, modest but comfortable. There are two tables and approximately 10-15 chairs. Pricing is quite reasonable, considering the quality and authenticity of the food. The portions are generous, and you definitely get great value for your money. Perfect take-out spot, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant!

The food tastes really good, but the presentation isn't the best, like they just mash the chicken, sauce and rice all together. The owners are very nice and friendly and I guess for the average area prices are affordable but the meal does not include sauce, yogurt, soup or anything else besides the chicekn and rice in one plate. Overall good experience I would eat there again.

Came here to try the chicken Tikka masala. The food was good, but the portion size was pretty small. The prices were reasonable and service was friendly. Also note that their naan is less like Indian naan and more like a mixture of Afghan naan.

Don’t let the smaller restaurant setup in a grocery store deceive you. I have had the best Karahi Ghost (goat karahi) and naan here. It was very delicious, just the right amount of spice oil and goat well cooked. Definitely worth eating here or pack it togo.

I stopped by this place when I entered Berkeley; it is market and restaurant. Good food (Pakistani); the Dal was nice and the chicken biryani was good, eventhough the chicken could have been less dry.

The lunch special here is great. You get a big portion of really tasty food, and many dishes are under $15 (as of November 2022). Staff is super nice and it’s clean OL

This place is great. I order from here regularly. Fantastic samosas, delicious tandoori chicken wraps, and if you like goat---this is your place. And the price cannot be beat.

Really nice place to have Halal Indo-Pak food. Being a family owned and run business their customer service is top notch. Prices are pretty low while portation sizes are quite big. My office staff loved their kheer.

Got the 2 specials of the day, chicken biriyani and nihari. Biriyani was a big portion but honestly tasteless. Nihari was not good either - bland, thickened sauce with a big piece of dry beef (not even lamb or mutton). The only good things were the naan and dal!

Amazing food. We stumbled among this place by accident and they serve hot food. It took a few minutes to prepare, but was excellent. If you are in the Oakland area, stop by and try. You will not be disappointed. You can literally get a burger any day of the week! Try something new.
