What an awesome edifice on the side of the hill overlooking Oakland. Unique architecture and beautiful grounds that are extremely well kept. I seriously recommend popping into the visitor center and listening to the people there. The rooftop garden is so beautiful as well as the view!

Insanely beautiful temple grounds with an unparalleled view. Good people of all faiths are welcome and should take a minute to enjoy the beauty. We certainly felt the peace and love of God here.

This temple is very beautiful, but even more so at Christmas. The grounds are spectacular and so meticulously maintained. The views from the roof top garden are world class...a billion dollar view. If you are near by you should make your way up at night when they have their Christmas decorations out. The visitor center is warm and inviting and they love to answer any questions you may have.

Very beautiful, nice and clean place to get peace. Also best place for panoramic view downtown of Oakland and San Francisco. Lots of parking spots you can take your kids out here.

Very impressive architecture. I went there during night time. The lights added some characters to the building. Easy parking. Nice garden provides a good viewing deck to the city. People here are very friendly. But may be a little too friendly.

Always a place where you can feel at peace. I love this temple and it is such a treat during the holidays. Parking is free and visitor center is open to the public. Come say hi!

An under-rated and welcome location that everyone should swing by if they're in the area. The rooftop garden is beautiful with sweeping views of the bay and of downtown San Francisco. Great photo ops for tourists. Choir music plays quietly around the fountain. A peaceful place to enjoy a brief walk! You do not need to be affiliated with the church to visit, and it's free. Expect to be warmly welcomed; the ward is very friendly and they will happily show you around.

Is literally one of my favorite places to go. Whether you're a member or not, you're always welcome and their visitor center tells such an amazing and rich history of the LDS church. We also have a very in-depth family history section so that way anyone can go and look up at their history as well. The rooftop gardens give you amazing second and on views of the San Francisco Bay area. All year round there are concerts available here as well.... And finally, of course the temple itself being able to go inside there and experience everything they have to offer is wonderful.

It's the most beautiful place in Oakland. Great performances too in the auditorium and amazing Brothers and sisters in Christ at these grounds. Best place to take pictures too and if a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, then it's just zion on earth. If you're planning on visiting Oakland, visit these temple hill grounds.

Stunning grounds. Informative and warm visitors center. Everyone is kind and willing to do all they can to help with whatever. Definitely take the walk around the roof if you have a chance.

During our vacation in the Oakland area, my family and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Oakland California Temple and its adjacent Visitors Center. Although we didn't go inside the temple itself, our visit left a deep impression. The Oakland Temple is a striking architectural masterpiece, surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens that radiate serenity and tranquility. One of the features that added to that experience was the man-made stream flowing gracefully in front of the temple. The sight and sound of the water added a soothing element to the overall ambiance. We spent a significant amount of time at the Visitors Center, where we found a wealth of information about the temple's history and significance. The center's exhibits and displays were informative and engaging, providing valuable insights into the beliefs and practices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In conclusion, our experience at the Oakland California Temple and its Visitors Center was a remarkable and spiritually enriching journey. The beautiful surroundings, the captivating man-made stream, and the informative Visitors Center all contributed to a meaningful visit. It's a place that offers solace, reflection, and a chance to connect with faith, even for those who don't enter the temple itself. If you're in the Oakland area, I highly recommend taking the time to explore this sacred and inspiring destination.

Beautiful temple. I have been there two times during Christmas time because I enjoy the decorations. Stop by. If you can, you will not regret it. From the back of the temple, one can see the city of Oakland, including Highland Hospital, their ambulance bay.

A good day. We are a family of four: Anastasia - 31 years old, Artem - 38 years old, Nikita - 6 years old, Timur - 11 years old. Until 2022, we lived in Central Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk region, Kryvyi Rih, but due to the beginning of the war, we were forced to leave our home in order to be able to give our children a future. I am a manicurist and pedicurist by profession, and my husband is a welder. The eldest son, Timur, has been studying English since he was 5 years old, and is professionally engaged in Thai boxing. We love to travel, discover new places. My husband and I have a driver's license.) English is not at a very high level, but we are working on it🤗. At the moment, we are in the Czech Republic, but we want to move to America, as we do not see a future for us and our children in Ukraine. We ask you to provide us with sponsorship under the Yu4Yu program, in obtaining a humanitarian password. This is very important for us, because we want to create good conditions for the future and development of our children. We will be very grateful for your help)
