**Update.
I
tried
to
leave
another
separate
review
however
I
can
only
do
one!
Same
anxious,
slightly
hypochondriac
cat
mom.
Different
health
issue-different
cat.
On
3/2,
while
I
was
frantically
getting
ready
for
the
Flyers
game
I
noticed
my
white/gray
Persian
Theodore
was
not
acting
normal.
Lots
of
in/out
of
the
litter
box.
Almost
crouching
when
walking.
Laying
down
anywhere.
Broke
the
news
to
my
partner
that
we
were
not
making
it
to
the
game
and
instead
found
ourselves
at
BluePearl.
Unlike
last
time,
I
was
able
to
bring
Theo
home
that
night.
He
was
diagnosed
with
urinary
tract
inflammation
and
a
surplus
of
crystals
showed
up
on
his
urinalysis.
Pain
meds,
anxiety
meds,
and
prescription
diet
later
he
is
back
to
living
his
best
life.
Rating
5
stars
again
for
the
care
and
support
from
Dr.
Kathryn
Venanzi
as
well
as
the
vet
techs.
I
am
not
an
easy
patient.
Lots
of
tears
and
questions.
They
have
had
great
bedside
manner
every
time
and
I
cannot
imagine
how
exhausting
it
is
having
pet
parents
like
me.
It
is
expensive.
I
see
that
noted
several
times
on
the
reviews.
It’s
an
emergency
hospital
for
your
animals-round
the
clock
care-phone
calls
for
updates.
I
know
I
am
fortunate
to
have
been
able
to
pay
for
it.
Theo’s
visit
was
around
550
for
everything
(urinalysis,
prescriptions,
tests,
visit)
Cheaper
than
his
brother’s
previous
visit
which
included
a
more
long
term
stay
for
lily
exposure,
but
if
you
can
swing
it
it
is
worth
it
for
peace
of
mind.
The
staff
called
and
checked
in
for
Theo
days
after
and
if
I
was
concerned
(trust
me
I
was)
they
took
my
call
and
answered
my
questions.
Love
this
team!!
Thursday,
4/1/2021,
I
brought
Easter
Lillies
into
my
apartment.
I,
promptly,
posted
them
to
social
media
because
I’m
31
in
a
pandemic
so
my
content
is,
essentially
flowers
and
my
cat.
Two
hours
after
sharing
my
flowers
on
Facebook,
someone
messaged
me
and
let
me
know
that
these
beautiful,
fragrant,
trumpet
shaped
flowers
were
actually
weapons
of
mass
destruction...at
least
to
cats...
Frantically,
I
called
my
vet
who
instructed
me
to
call
poison
control
who
told
me
to
take
my
cat
to
the
emergency
vet
immediately.
My
cat
did
not
ingest
any
of
the
Easter
Lilies
(that
I
know
of)
however
they
are
so
poisonous
that
even
any
encounter
with
the
flower,
leaf,
stem,
and/or
pollen
can
result
in
kidney
failure.
Luckily,
a
hero
slid
into
my
DMs
to
let
me
know
the
risk,
and
Blue
Pearl
was
able
to
start
treatment
3
hours
after
exposure.
I
am
a
passionate/emotional
(depending
on
who
you
ask)
person,
and
I
am
deeply
attached
to
my
cat.
I
found
Dr.
Perez
and
Dr.
Harrier
to
be
informative
and
patient
with
my
tear
filled
questions
and
frustration
with
myself
over
exposing
my
cat,
Leopold,
to
these
lethal
lilies.
Dr.
Perez,
Dr.
Harrier
or
one
of
their
lovely
vet
techs
would
call
me
each
day
to
give
me
an
update
and
their
recommendations
for
Leopold
taking
into
account
what
I
could,
financially,
afford
and
offer
alternatives.
And
after
five
long,
anxiety
filled
days,
Leopold
was
discharged
with
no
signs
of
lasting
kidney
damage!!
I
cannot
imagine
how
emotionally
draining
it
is
to
care
for
hurt/sick/dying
animals
and
having
to
have
phone
call
after
phone
call
with
their
distraught
family
members;
I
am
grateful
not
only
for
their
care
and
love
for
Leopold
but,
also,
for
their
ability
to
manage
the
ins
and
outs
of
those
heartbreaking
interactions
during
the
treatment
process.
If
you
are
unsure
of
where
to
take
your
pet
in
a
time
of
crisis,
I
can
recommend
Blue
Pearl
with
the
utmost
confidence!
