Great little cafe. Name has now changed to Max’s Diner. Wonderfully cooked full breakfast. Definitely on our stop by list.

A beautiful, clean, well-presented diner. Barista style coffees that were well made. What a surprise!! I ordered the special $10 cheeseburger, chips and cold can of drink. I asked to swap out the can for a latte and it was easily done 😊 Sadly I couldn't finish the burger and chips...the plate was full of chips and the burger was huge! Definitely worth more than $10! The service is well above excellent, with the owner checking to see if I was happy with my meal. Absolutely recommend this diner and easily one of the top places to eat in Oamaru. Don't bypass this diner...you will regret it! 😁

What an awesome diner. Very clean and tidy. The staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is a problem to them. We drove 1100km's to get here and we are looking forward to dropping in again. We highly recommend this place. You are in for a treat.

If you haven’t been in here I suggest you do, the pies are fantastic. Like I would give them a gold medal fantastic. I will be back again to try the cheese burger someone spoke about in one of the other reviews. Oh and the staff where really friendly as well.

Being a sales Rep I tend to eat at alot of places. I tried this place and wow, really impressed. Great little place very friendly service. I was taken back by the great price and great old fashioned service. The food was wonderfully cooked and well presented. The atmosphere was great and felt very content after my meal. I will certainly return in the coming weeks on my way through Oamaru.

Food was g8, best hamburger with fresh lettuce and slices of tomato. Order of potato chips were hot and crisp. Excellent service and tables clean. An excellent stop for travellors.

I had the cheeseburger which was recommended. Given the choice of homemade mayo or normal I chose homemade. This burger was delicious. Great service here and a tidy diner with great parking for trucks. Recommended.
