Delicious Chinese restaurant serving their talents when it come to authenticity. I had the General Tso Chicken, General Tso Chicken w/vegetables, their fried chicken wings, their Spring Rolls, and I have had also their fried crab sticks w/french fries which were all out of this world. You may dine in or carryout. When you call in an order for carryout their time frames are always on point. Never a wait time. Parking in front of the restaurant. Nice and friendly staff. Their lunch specials are pocket savers. Very good prices for top quality food.

Generic flavors but great execution. The quality of food is low, but so is the price so you can't complain. Generous portion sizes and the food was prepared well. -2 stars for the very typical American Chinese food flavors.

Just moved here and wanted Chinese take out for dinner. The food was so good. Fried rice was amazing and the bourbon chicken. So flavorful and a good price and you can order online. Will definitely order again.

Hands Down Best Chinese Food Ever! I have ordered several times now and have to say this food is A+++ Really good quality. Huge portions too! I recently made an ordering error and it was my fault, I selected the wrong option. They exchanged the item for what I wanted, even though it was my error!! If you want tome great tasting Chinese food with generous portions. Then you need to try this place!

DELICIOUS BOURBON CHICKEN! Great price/portion options. Has peppers and onions in it already. Also ordered Vegetable LoMein as extra portion, both are GREAT on the plate! Price was awesome and plenty to share. THANKS for a great meal! I walked in, took 12 mins to receive after I paid. I AM COMING BACK FOR OTHER MEALS!

I used to love Hunan King. I ordered veggie lo mein ADD SHRIMP and this is what I got. I had to saute my own mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, onions along with some green onions to make it edible. UnfortunatelyI didn't have any shrimp. The second picture is after some work. I could have made plain noodles at home. We ordered $50 worth of food at lunch and it was definitely not worth it. They are going down hill.

Had lunch special Beef with Snow Peas, fried rice and won ton soup. If you want water, you buy a bottle. Vegetables were nice and crisp. I was delightfully surprised by many slices of beef! Fried rice bland. I would order steam rice. Sauce good. Won ton soup very good with huge won tons. Meal was fresh and hot. My friend had Sesame Chicken. It was not spicy. Nice and crispy with caramelization on the chicken. Hot and sour soup is good. My friend preferred it to be lighter. Steady take-out traffic.

Hunan King has been my favorite American Chinese fast food restaurant for over 20 years. I look forward to enjoying their food for another 20+ years. THANK YOU HUNAN KING OWNERS AND STAFF!!! I'm so glad you have survived the challenges associated with the onging pandemic!!!

The food is always good , everyone is always nice and friendly , this is my go to place for great tasting Chinese food 🙂

November 2022 : Food was hot and flavorful. Good pork fried rice. Decent combo prices. Very good orange chicken (pictured on left) & spicy garlic beef (on right). Not a fan of the egg roll, not filled very well or honestly good at all. I will be back to try more things and update my rating. Update January 2023. Tried the dinner platter of War Su Gai, I didn’t really like the gravy/sauce of this location. Not very flavorful and very very thick ( picture for reference ). I did like the chicken and they gave me a very generous portion of that. But they should for 12$.

I love their Pork Fried Rice. I get a pint or quart of Pork Fried Rice, made with 2 or 3 dollar's extra Pork in it. And it's always hot and made fresh when you order it. Hunan King is always a great experience 💯👌

So fast and delicious! Had the hot and sour soup, crab rangoons and pepper steak. Plenty for leftovers and everything tasted so fresh! 10/10

The proportions are really big compared to the price!! I’ve been here several times and they never disappoint. The crab Rangoon is PERFECT! many places have dry and sour crab Rangoon but they make theirs creamy and sweet. Only thing I would ask is that they put labels on the sauce, but everything else is perfect. And there sauces are homemade, definitely recommend their Szechuan sauce Wouldn’t go to any other Chinese restaurant even on payday!

It was okay I bought sweet and sour chicken and fried rice and the rice was burnt ughh they must of let that rice cook for ever to burn it smh...

The food was disgusting! Chickens wings tasted like they were old then thrown back into the oil to make them hot and appear fresh. The shrimp was mushy. How did they do that? Just gross.

I used to love this place, until I was served a fried bedbug in my shrimp lo mein. I will not ever eat there, ever again!

I ordered general sol chicken and shrimp fried rice it was nasty my meat tasted like cat and the rice was dry.

I have been looking for a Chinese restaurant closer to me and this is definitely an option. Crab Rangoon had great filing. Soups were at the level I hoped for. Hunan chicken was very good and most important for me returning. Orange chicken was a huge portion. Rices were both fluffy. Surprise were the little fried noodles. Normally I won't waste my time on these but they were fresh like ones I enjoy at Hunan Lion.

First time trying food from here. Ordered takeout. The inside was clean and the staff (guy taking order) was very friendly. I ordered lunch special sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and a vegetable egg roll (extra .80), regular order of vegetable egg foo young (they have the yellow gravy), and crab rangoon. The crab rangoon was delicious! One of the best I’ve had in awhile. The sweet and sour chicken was good but the fried rice that came with it was undercooked (rice was hard). It had great flavor though. The egg roll and egg foo young was ok. I’m teeter tottering between a high 3 or low 4 rating. I’m willing to try them again if/when I may be in the area. For now I’m going with a high 3/5 star rating.

I wanted to try since I just moved in the area a few wks ago, so I went tonight! I ordered General Tso not spicy with broccoli. To start my food was ready in just under 3 mins! So either the chicken is raw or old!?! Well OLD! I couldn't even chew the chicken every piece is so hard! As well as the broccoli! As for the rice? It's horrible too! It is "gummy"like and the onions r also raw and hard. u would think the cooks would know how to cook rice properly.. guess not.. as for the flavor didn't taste bad but it is uneatable 100%

I have been coming here for years , yes it’s in the ghetto but I would drive 30 to 40 minutes, just to get this food and just these past 4 months rice hard barley cooked , up charges for lunch specials if you want egg rolls then you get the egg rolls and unless it’s pork barely get any shrimp when you get shrimp rolls , the people that work there is very nice, but the food has completely became not so good .

We are regulars at Hunan King and have been for 3 years! As far as Chinese takeout goes, it's a great spot! The dumplings and egg rolls are particularly delicious which I think is one of the most important things to me when getting takeout. Everyone who works there is so nice and they are so speedy! Expect everything to take about 10-15 minutes to make and be delicious!

This place doesn't score a 10 on curbside or inside appeal but the quality of the food does. It's one of those little gems you continue to come back to for great service and good. I have personally been going there for the last year and the service as well as the food never disappoints. The food is always hot, ready, and fresh.

Don't get me wrong they have good food but how can u just put a different price on something u get everytime nothing more or less and everytime it more and more and when u say something they always have something 2 say it's sad and that's why I will not feel bad for not tipping they don't deserve

Hunan King is a hidden gem on the Southside. After moving and looking everywhere for great Chinese I finally found Hunan King. Fantastic food and super quick. The food is always fresh and piping hot. I've never once had a order that I was disappointed in. Get that general tso's bby!!

This is not one of my favorite restaurants. I ordered house lomein and beef and broccoli it wasn't good. I probably won't be eating there again.

This has to be one of the best Chinese food restaurants around. I love their beef.

They act like you can’t order your food how you want it. If I’m paying let me put my shrimp on the side if I want to. Let me switch my brown sauce for sesame sauce. Let me order a side of bourbon sauce if that’s what I want to dip my egg roll in. They made not want to come here no more.

The best place to get Chinese food on the south end for sure. The wait time is never more than 15 minutes which is awesome. Don't forget to try their house made iced tea! It's abnormally delicious 🤤
