We’ve come to this church twice now. LOVE everything about it…. Except the service it’s self. The music, the kid section, the people are all wonderful. But pastor Tim’s sermons are VERY fear driven. “God says do this so do it or else” and for that reason, we had already discussed that it would be best to move on with our search for a home church. Today, Pastor Tim said and I quote “if you are going to be weird. Don’t mention Meadowbrook”. I looked at my husband, and said this isn’t the place for us, Because in our house… Our God says “come as you are”… there was also a 30 minute section in the service that seems like a commercial to get volunteers, telling us “God needs your effort. Isnt he worth it?”… we wish nothing but blessings for this church and all who worship there. But it’s not a in my opinion, an example of Gods love for people.

I don't even mind so much the LOUD music, however, it is somewhat dismal when Any pastor expresses their political views. I am not at all a fan of DeSantis or that political party so I wish Pastor Gilligan would leave his political beliefs at his home.

This church has a 30 year history with the same pastor in addition to 15 other pastors who I don't know what they do. The teaching , preaching is confusing to understand when the old testament Law that the Jewish people were under is mixed with new testament Grace thru Jesus and all that was done for our salvation.Too much legalism and man made rules to keep the believers always feeling like they have to perform to get God's salvation along with constant confessions of sins .Which under the New Covenant, testament is not necessary, God remembers our sin no more . Basically two problems, one sin management thru continuous prayers of forgiveness and Second, the Behavior modification to perform a certain way to be a Christian .

My original review appears to have been removed which is hilarious because it further underlines how little the church cares for members outside its own fellowship. Originally, I had issue with the fact the church did fireworks nowhere near a holiday where fireworks would be expected and did not inform their neighbors of the disturbance. It's bad enough that traffic comes to a standstill on Sundays, but to not take neighbors lives into consideration when planning events is ridiculous. We were terrified there were gunshots in the area and had to call around to figure out what was going on while my family huddled in fear. Have yet to receive an apology from this establishment.

This was my first visit to this church and I am super impressed. Everyone is so welcoming from the parishioner I was sitting beside to the pastor who delivered an awesome message. Just be aware this is a large church that is very well attended so arrive early. I am really looking forward to attending again next week!

Simply amazing! My background is: conservative Southern Baptist denomination, I feel very comfortable here. The preached word of God always lines up biblically, the music/worship time is "over the top", all the ministries lend to "there is a place for everyone", and the Spirit of the Lord abounds. God is the head of all decisions in the church.

I asked for assistance getting there and the obviously non-christian receptionist said "We don't have a program for that.".. The obvious and normal response should have been to see if there is someone that lives near me and wants to ride share and give them my number. Christians solve problems. Non-christians support the continuing of problems, or, create new problems. Did Jesus tell the blind man "Sorry, don't have a program for that". Will Jesus tell the receptionist, when she is trying to get into heaven with her sin unrepented, "Sorry, don't have a program for that"?. I suppose we will find out eventually. Heaven is the place where there is no sin. Jesus is our maker so he can repair us so we can fit into heaven where there is no sin, if we accept that repair. He won't force it on us, but without repair we cannot fit into heaven where there is no sin. If there were sin there then it would not be heaven. No one will lie to you in heaven. No one will be involved in sex outside of marriage in heaven. Go ahead, mock the Lord by saying, Oh we don't "have a program" to help his people carry out his Word which says for us to gather ourselves together ...see how far that gets YOU. It doesn't take a program. ... It just takes a Christian.

For such a large Church I feel they did a terrific job. We went on Veterans Day weekend and the way they honored our vets as well as the Lord was very well done! The message was spot on as well!

Great Pastor. Most important part of any church. The only thing disappointing is the music is far far too loud. If Osha measured the decibal level it would exceed what is considered a safe range for the human ear. A lot of the old timers attending feel this way also, but don't let it be known.

Pastor Tim Gilligan has devoted more than 30 years inviting people to discover themselves and to help people understand the Bible, Jesus, God .. and more. He is a grand messenger and this is a friendly and welcoming church. Love it.

Very friendly from the moment you pull into the parking lot. Meadowbrook has all the modern touches (coffee room, 3 large screens to see the minister…). Sermon was very good, I liked the way the minister made it fun and current.

above average service with great musicians, pastor Jim or Tim i do not remember does a great job keeping everyone's attention by having everyone repeat what he just said. On a side note, do not bring in a younger child that may make noise, as the pastor in our experience kept asking about an annoying noise he could hear. Yea its a toy so our daughter won't be a bother, it was not that distracting, however he continued to practically embarrass us at least 3 times asking about what this noise was, a rattler....it was a rattler that in my opinion was not that loud....better than her crying and whining. we approached the pastor earlier in the year after a service to ask him about child christenings and we were approached by his mall cops security staff that we could ask the service desk this question even though he was talking to other people. pastor is entitled, Meh watch online

We are new to Ocala from Indiana. Looked for a place to worship with my family for 3 months. Meadowbrook has been God sent. I grew up in church, daughter of a pastor, worship leader, and I was just looking for a place my children and my husband and I would be feed the word in a way that was not so “theological.” Meaning receiving the word in a way that was not so fancy and in a more easier way to understand. On the first Sunday we visited we were welcomed with open arms, and my children could not stop talking about the way pastor brought the message. “Mom! The message was so good! It was what we needed to hear and it was easy to understand.” Thank you pastor and Meadowbrook church for welcoming us to the family. We pray we are a blessing to you all as you have already been to us.

This church discouraged us. We attended for a long time and when we needed support for our family, Pastor Guilligan ignored us and the Care team too. Very sad.

We’ve been here since 2012. People are friendly and if looking for something there is someone there to help you. Yes it is a big/mega church but it feels like home when you enter.

Really sad occasion, we were here for Ajike Owens funeral. Beautiful church, sensitive and professional staff. The funeral was moved to this church and we didn't know why until we got there. The church was massive so they were able to accommodate the crowd. Also the sound was phenomenal.

This church was very overcrowded and overwhelming. The message was good and I really enjoyed the pastor. But I don't think that this church is really for me. If you do want a specific seat with the people you came with, make sure you get there super early because parking is insane.

The service was good, music to loud and not traditional. It's a mega church and the people are not very friendly.

The first time I visited, I knew I found a place to call home. Ive been a part of many churches over the last 45 years and Meadowbrook tops the list! I decided to attend while visiting my mother that lives in 8Ocala. I found it to be very welcoming in spite of it's size. The more I've learned and experienced, the more serious I've become about moving to Ocala just to be part of what I consider to be a very ""balanced" church. The 1st thing that struck me was the Music-Prase-Worship was Awesome!. Pastor Randy does an amazing job leading. Great musicians, great vocals (giving everyone the opportunity to sing solo) MOST importantly, leading you into a place of abandonment in worship! Other things I've seen is the attention to detail in every aspect of everything that is going on! You can see that the Pastor & his wife oversees and assigns. The people that have been chosen to lead different ministries within the church are well equipped and all seem to have been "God picked". The more I've experienced the more drawn I am. I definitely feel the Love!!! Because I live 100 miles away I don't often get to actually attend. Thank the Lord they have a live stream of both services Sunday mornings. Sometimes I get up early so I can do Praise and worship twice.... I believe God has a place for me there. Can't wait to see how He is going to make it happen. Kelly M
