My sister took me here for my birthday and it was definitely a year in some ways. The views are absolutely stunning, a 270 degree view of the city. The drinks are also very unique and delicious. The food on the other hand was underwhelming, felt very average. We got oysters, black bass crudo, lobster roll, duck, and two dessert specials. The oysters were great but everything else was “fine”. Would come back for views and drinks but would have to take convincing to get food again.

The views are just lovely. We didn't arrive during sunset but apparently many people book their reservations around then. The food was good, but not very memorable. At their price range, I expected better. The drinks were great, however, and even better was the service. The table we sat at was in the back corner of the restaurant where we could get really good views. I had requested it and the restaurant honored it, which was a big plus. However, that corner was very cold with some air conditioning draft coming down on the table. That didn't ruin the evening but it was certainly a nuisance. We ended up wearing our *winter* jackets to keep warm. Opposite of the restaurant is a separate room with a small bar that they sometimes open if they get really busy. Even if it's not open, you can still get your drinks at the bar, then head over. It's got couches and small booths to chill at. It's a nice lounge. I'd recommend to take advantage of that room, instead of having a meal at the restaurant.

Never had the chance to check this place out precovid, but i am happy that i did now. Cocktails are art in fancy glasses, the main kitchen isn't open just yet (hopefully by summer) but they do have small bites. They make one of the best corn bread i have ever tried! Even though service was slow it was very wonderful and atmosphere was very calm and chill.

I decide to come here to celebrate my birthday. I request the window seat when I made a reservation. And we did get the window seat when we arrived:) Everything Was amazing. The food looks incredible, and taste amazing. The view was stunning! And the service was great. Even its non tipping restaurant. I enjoyed a lot. And definitely will be back in the future!

This is the place if you have a special guest or date with your dear one. The view is extraordinary, amazing both sides of Manhattan. The central park and the downtown area. Chef's food was really good, a high end dining, modern decorative open kitchen, you can hear and feel the kitchen. Service was personal, polite and professional.

Third time here but first time during day and the view was fantastic! The deep fake Negroni was fabulous. The bartender was knowledgeable and accommodating. Lovely interior as always. Need to dine here again as the menu might have changed but I remember their burger was amazing.

I went for a birthday celebration dinner with a friend on Sep 15 at 5pm. We got a warm welcome from the lobby and since we arrived a little early, the host suggested that we wait on the other side with a great view. I've never been to that side even though it was my third visit! We were then brought to our seat with a fantastic Brooklyn bridge view (window seat). Although I asked the name of our server, I keep forgetting it. She was very welcoming us from the beginning and asked my friend how his birthday plans are going. She then thoroughly explained the menu and we decided to try the chef's tasting menu. I loved every single plates and my favorites were the oyster and the blue crab with caviar. Both of us were so happy all the way to the end with those amazing desserts and a surprise gift drinks. My friend loved the colorful birthday cake. I will definitely come again to try other dishes as well! Thank you so much to the amazing chefs!!

One of my go-to recommendations in New York. I love how the entrance is not obvious; the view with binoculars is a big reason to recommend to people visiting the city. The menus are fund and presentations are beautiful. Additionally, the service fee is structured in the price, which is friendly for guests- I wish more places would adopt this style.

Such an amazing experience! At one point I was looking through the drink book( I say book because it’s at least 20 pages!) and was struggling to find the by the glass wine list, an employee noticed and was by my side asking if I needed any help in seconds. Our server was super knowledgeable and was able to make several spot on recommendations. It was my 13 yr old daughter’s first experience at a restaurant like this and she was blown away. I told her before hand things like notice how when the servers reach in front of you, their face will always be facing you, in between each course they will clear out silverware and bring us the exact utensils we need for our next course. Etc. When we arrived, she was looking for all of those things and she kept saying dad look how they cleared out plates, they were always facing us and cleared our plates all at the same time! Thanks for making her experience incredible. It’s the little things. Not to mention the food was off the charts. Such thoughtful pairing of flavor profiles and textures in each dish. Must try!

The dining experience is exceptional from start to finish. The coat check is free of charge, the host/hostess are welcoming. The dining room is in pristine state and very elegant. I do wish that the lights were a little more bright since I do not like eating in a low light environment. Our waiter was kind, knowledgeable and very polite. The food was delicious, we had the scallops as well as the oysters as appetizers the duck as a main course and finally the chocolate sabayon for dessert. I would recommend increasing the amount of pieces of scallops and oysters. I do acknowledge it is fine dining, however for the price it is a bit expensive to my taste. The view is breathtaking therefore I believe you pay for the view as well. Overall I do recommend going there even only for drinks however the main courses are worth it so avoid the appetizers.

Even though we weren’t dressed for fine dining, we still were treated with respect and had great service! This was my first gratuity free restaurant I’d ever dined at and I’m really looking forward to going back. The time each staff member took explaining what are dishes are made with which ingredients, was great! It wasn’t too much info but jus enough to get you excited for it! They even offered me something that wasn’t on the menu! Bless them!

Fab room (although the main bar could be a bit cozier). Love the return to a fine dining menu. Desserts and savory dishes were all impeccable. Service was friendly and professional. Cocktails were delicious and well balanced (always love the unique ice). Very pleased that our table request was honored. Excited that the Bay Room is opening up. Thrilled this spot is one of our neighborhood go-tos!

Spectacular place. The cocktails were delicious, the food was great and the service was AMAZING. Very attentive and personal staff. The views were stunning and so much more genuine than a stand alone observatory. Would recommend to every single person that visits the city

This restaurant is on the sixtieth floor and offers beautiful views of Manhattan. The menu is very simple and you pay one price including tip. This was an excellent place to hold a meeting for our team. The portion sizes were kind of small, but for being a high end restaurant in New York City that is expected. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, and the environment was like no other. We will be back again!

Celebrating New Year's Eve at Manhatta was amazing! The extraordinary view of the 2024 countdown added magic to the night. We went all out on trying different drinks, and they were all surprisingly good. The food was more than just satisfying – each dish was a pleasant surprise. The service was on point, with the staff checking on us throughout the night. From the view to the drinks and food, Manhatta made our New Year's Eve truly special. Definitely recommending it for a great time!

First time coming back for lunch after the soft opening meal. Still in love! Great staff, smooth service, not stuffy atmosphere. The whole dining experience had a old time charm, you enjoy a proper meal, no screen time, good conversation and good company. Cocktail was on point! Each dish was prepared by one of the amazing chefs/sous chefs and assistants, each bite was delightful.

The view is SPECTACULAR. Appetizers were overpriced and underwhelming. For entrees, we ordered the hanger steak and a lobster roll. For those prices, you'd think they serve prime cuts. Although I will say the lobster roll was near-perfect. The service was high-level; we had 2 servers throughout the night and both impressed me. The desserts were decent. In short, the food is NOT worth those prices, but you get a world-star view.

I had the pleasure of dining at Manhatta restaurant for my GF birthday on 10/7/2023 and I cannot say enough about the exceptional service provided by waitress Shannon. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. She guided us through the menu with expertise, making great recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Shannon's professionalism and warmth created a welcoming atmosphere, and she consistently checked on us to ensure our needs were met. Her attention to detail and genuine care for our enjoyment made our visit truly special. I highly recommend Manhatta restaurant and, in particular, the outstanding service provided by Shannon. She is a true asset to the establishment, and we can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience.

We got to visit on a trial run before opening night and this place is fascinating. A very interesting fine dining experience. The food and cocktails are excellent. The atmosphere is more casual than your usual similar restaurant, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, service is top notch and overall definitely worth a visit. Great spot for special occasions.

Just celebrated our anniversary here . The staff is top notch . Was so impressed that pretty much every single staff member that greeted us , wished us a happy anniversary. Certainly felt very special here . The view is top notch here . Restaurant is beautiful. You Will certainly enjoy it here . The food is good but in my opinion not to die for . We had the four course tasting menu . It is certainly a great experience and many unique flavors and tastes but it did not leave me wanting more . I would happily come back and order from the Al La cart menu to try and few other things . Will never get bored of the view and how great the staff is . Before I forget to mention. After we ate dessert , the staff gave us another dessert for our anniversary. A very nice chocolate mousse ( that was actually even better than what we originally had for dessert 🤣). Can not say how impressed I was with the service . One of a kind . Will happily come back . ( FYI , the is not cheap , if you are on a tight budget , wouldn’t see this working out for you .

Best birthday dinner. Wanted to do something special for my wife and Manhatta did not disappoint. Service by our host, Joseline, was amazing and the food was sensational. The evening was beyond my expectations. Very relaxed, no dress code requirement and has the true American spirit. Highly recommended.

Needs to be top of your list for a special occasion! Amazing views of the city 60 floors up.. we were very lucky to be placed at a table next to the window.. you cant request this unfortunately but it was my husband’s birthday! We had the restaurant week lunch menu and it was all amazing and such great quality for the price. Service was amazing, really made it a special experience. Would highly recommend coming for lunch, not sure the views would be as good at night.

We're so happy that one of the best venue in FiDi came back! Slightly changed cocktail and food menu, but absolutely delicious! Won't go wrong when you order either the classics or their own creation. Great view, professional staff. A must-visit downtown bar/ restaurant!

If you are not from nyc then highly recommend coming for the view. If you are from nyc then I would come once for the view. The food, although good, is not the best ever. Prices are affordable given the upscale vibes. Our waiter was super nice, maybe because he thought my coworker and I were on a date hehe. I already have a very cute boyfriend though.

Food was generally okay, it wasn’t anything too spectacular or extraordinary but the view, ambiance and service were all amazing! Initially I requested for a table by the window but they weren’t able to make a table available. However since i was celebrating something special, they transferred me and my friend to the private events place / hall across the restaurant and we had a 180 view of the city and the room all to ourselves. It was a surreal experience!

The service at this restaurant was like no other!Reminded me of some Michelin type of restaurants. The views are amazing, the music not too loud and huge variety of drinks or wine. This is an experience, I went for a drink first at the bar to enjoy the view and finished in the dinning area for a meal. Note that it’s a limited menu at the bar which makes total sense. Highly recommended for only a cocktail or to eat!

I really enjoyed and had really special experiences!! The restaurant’s vibe and mood were great. Especially the view was fantastic. The foods were hella delicious. The beef tartare was fresh, the blue crab and caviar was like a new world which I’ve never had that taste, that was awesome. The grilled lobster and dry aged duck were speechless, you have to try all of them. They even gave the birthday dessert!!! The employees were very nice and kind. I don’t understand why they didn’t get any Michelin yet. They are absolutely deserved to get it! I love to visit this restaurant again and was really happy to be there. Really appreciate it!!

I have been back to Manhatta at least 6 times since my original review and have never been disappointed. To the contrary, each experience has been better than the last. I am a middle class guy and I can's really afford a luxury restaurant but I make an exception for Manhatta because of the great price/value ratio. Virtually all reviews praise the view which is indeed beautiful. But I also appreciate the great cuisine, impeccable service and the overall dignified ambiance. Can't praise this luxury enough.

Wow. Beautiful view and atmosphere with food that matches in quality. Everything we got on the tasting menu was perfect and an interesting mix of flavors. They also gave a lot of additional free snacks, even a pre dessert. This place is expensive, but this is the best restaurant I've been to. Wonderful food, staff, design, and view of Manhattan.

Went here for my birthday last night and had the BEST time! From the beginning to the end, the service was just absolutely outstanding. We wanted a table by the window, so we had to wait a bit (our res was at 6:30, we showed up at about 6:40 and didn’t get sat until about 7:30, but between the amazing drinks, beautiful view, and spectacular service, we didn’t even notice or really mind!) the hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating and kept us updated on our table, which we really appreciated. Once we were sat at our table, we agreed it was well worth the wait for the view!! Our server was so sweet and kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. I wish I remember her name, we were pretty boozed up by the cocktails at this point! The food was beautifully presented and prepared, and had its own unique flavors and twists. We didn’t opt for dessert as we were pretty full by that point, but we were surprised by the cutest and most DELICIOUS ice cream cake mascarpone strawberry delight with a candle in it- just the perfect end. The music was great and not too loud too. Overall a really great experience for a birthday meal :) will definitely try to come back soon!!

My wife and I had a great anniversary here. The food and atmosphere was great, the staff were lovely and the view was amazing. This was definitely the standout food spot for our trip; everything was perfectly prepared, but perhaps more importantly it was all quite unique in execution. The items were all familiar, but prepared in a way that we really haven't seen before, which for us is always a treat. The cocktails were also quite inventive and very well prepared. The 1 star knock on atmosphere is likely for a reason out of the restaurants control, but still had an effect. For a place that is billed as see and be seen, there were a lot of people in just ratty t-shirts and overall under-dressed. While I don't think a dress code is a good solution, was a bit of a detractor for a high end place. The carpet was also very hotel-y; again, an incredibly pedantic complaint, but still an odd choice for the place. I was also disappointed that despite making the reservation the second slots opened up for that particular day and signifying it was an anniversary, that the request for a window seat went unaddressed. There were quite a few 2-person window seats there, and I know few if any people could have booked a table prior to me. Again, not a huge issue, just slightly disappointing. Overall we would definitely go back for the food, which was outstanding.

The price you pay is for the service and view. My husband and I visited for our honeymoon dinner while we were in NYC. We requested for table with view. However we weren’t granted the table with view but the table located at the innermost. We both were small so couldn’t see the view from our table. We chose chef tasting menu and I regretted it. Should have ordered individual dishes. Only scallop dish was delicious to me the rest were not outstanding at all. Beef dish didn’t look appetising at all and also not tasty. Oyster dish was just meh. 2 fish dishes fried and poached not outstanding. They noted about our honeymoon celebration but not even a tiny dessert or cake or candle. The waiter was sweet and knowledgeable. He said he was gonna make our honeymoon dinner unforgettable but our experience at this restaurant was very forgettable.

Manhatta is a place that makes me sad to see that it hasn’t reopened. Each time I have an occasion to celebrate, I’ve tried to check back to see if it has reopened. That should tell how significant my experience here has been. The pictures I posted don’t do the view and ambiance justice, but if an all around view of Manhattan isn’t enticing enough, you can just move on to everything else it offers - lavish decor, outstanding service (some of the best I’ve ever experienced in the city), and gorgeous food. It actually looks as good as it tastes! Listen to your waiter - they can make great recommendations for you. Hopefully it’s able to open back up for all to experience.

Our experience at Manhatta was nothing short of extraordinary! Opting for the exquisite 4-course meal paired with a delightful bottle of white wine elevated our dining adventure to new heights. The attentive and helpful staff ensured that every course was not only expertly served but also presented with an artistic flair that delighted the senses. Venturing into the more adventurous side of the menu, I selected the BBQ eel and squab courses, both of which were nothing short of culinary masterpieces. The flavors were not only bold and unique but also flawlessly executed, leaving an indelible impression. The panoramic views from our table were absolutely breathtaking. My tip for fellow diners would be to secure an earlier dinner reservation, increasing the likelihood of scoring a coveted window seat to savor the stunning cityscape. The extensive wine menu was a journey in itself, featuring a diverse selection from various corners of the globe, adding an international touch to our dining experience. Manhatta is a true gem that tantalizes both the taste buds and the senses, making it a must-visit destination for any discerning diner. Make sure to make your reservation ahead of time so you can get the times you want and hopefully get by a window seat ;)

The food was just ok but the views were amazing! The steak was a small portion and I've had tastier steaks but their service was great. You have to check in at the lobby and be escorted to the elevator so come on time. I went on a holiday so it wasn't full of wall Street people which allowed us to stay longer and enjoy the ambience

Manhatta was the perfect spot for a long lunch with a friend. The host was fabulous and our server, Jess, made fantastic recommendations that helped us have the very best experience. I tried a few wines which the sommelier selected to pair with my food and all were excellent. Views are breathtaking and it was so refreshing to see the city from a different perspective. I would 100% recommend for lunch with friends.

A perfect spot for a special occasion - came here for a birthday. The only thing that could be better was the service, as it was questionable at times, and for the price you pay here I think you’d expect some fine dining experience. The salad was so good, and a huge portion, and the drinks we got were very good. Again though, expected a little bit more out of this place since it’s so well known and pricey.

Best restaurant rooftop view in Manhattan. Haidi The waitress was amazing Personable With the food and drinks . Food selection is not 5 star. No real vegetarian options like cut vegetables carrots cucumber and celery sticks with a humus or other healthy dip. However the beer and the wine selection is excellent. The views are spectacular. Food Selection at metropolitan museum of art. Not the best coffee selection If you or a consumer or the owner and like this review you could say thank by following me on Google reviews and liking this post…. ……. Have The best day ever. ..

One of the best view restaurants with good food. The appetizers and main dishes are great. But the dessert just okay, we had the apple tart, it looks cool when the alcohol on the fire, however, the it makes the tart taste like just alcohol, no any flavor at all.

Sensational experience at Manhatta. Incredible views from the Financial District looking north over Soho and into Midtown. Food, drinks and service all on point and I would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to NYC. It's on the pricey side, but will almost certainly be one of the best places you eat & drink - so well worth it. Try to get their before sundown - the orange tips of the skyscrapers as the sun sets is just magical.

Easily one of the best restaurants I've been to in the city. My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary and they made us feel extremely special. Overall great experience. Our server apologized for our first drinks coming out too slowly, which honestly we didn’t even really notice. Food was great. Server subsequently gave us “tastes” of wine that would pair well with our entrees (but they were basically full glasses…that we were not charged for). Views were great. Pricy (as expected), but worth it honestly for a splurge.

$$$$$$$ but damn it’s good. Maybe great. Went with my foodie son. He’s an expert. Anniversary? Save that money and go get the Chefs table. First date? Definitely getting some honey, or you better. It’s bougie and worth every penny. Great event space too.

The perfect spot for an “elevated” after work drink and bite. Be aware that there can be a wait if you don’t have a resy - and it’s a two stage process, first to go up and then to put your name down for a seat - but the payoff is worth it. Beautiful views of the city, nice sophisticated cocktails and and a burger to die for. Dry aged beef, caramelized onions, and cheese on the perfect brioche bun that goes very well with one of their Brooklyn cocktails. I will be back!

Great food, amazing view! The photos online don't do it justice, this is a great establishment inside and out. Food had great flavor and good sized portions. Waitstaff were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. There was nice timing between courses; we didn't feel rushed nor inconvenienced with waiting. I had imagined the dining room would have been larger, but in reality it's rather quant and I found it to be delightfully intimate. I had a spectacular time and look forward to coming back. Tips: - If you're a party of 2 you'll have a better chance at getting a prime window seat. Most parties of 4 are seated towards middle of the dining room. - The bar area gets crowded pretty quick. It was nearly empty at the time of our arrival at 5, but very full by time we left around 7.

Sat at the bar which is more like a pub than anywhere else I've been in this glitzy town. Great food, great service and the food is priced fairly. Booze is pricey and the measured shots are aggravating as is the $7 draft, but this is NY. so they are not out of line, and probably priced more fairly than their competition. I love this place and will continue to go back when in old town.

A favorite spot for quality meals. Visited on a Thursday. Nothing but great experiences here. The place has a good atmosphere. Menu is similar to a restaurant in Jacksonville I liked.

I've got a fetish for good food and this place gets me hot! I want to hire their decorator to furnish my house. The experience was heavenly as I was served a meal fit for God himself. The waiter was prompt and polite. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!

The wine list is amazing. We had the set menu of four dishes, plus the amusse bouche, and the ones at the aperitif.

Had dinner with friends and family for my daughters 16th birthday, it was fantastic and I can’t recommend it highly enough, the set menu is varied enough for everyone and very tasty, great drinks menu, we tried most of the menu between us and everyone was thrilled. The views are brilliant as it’s on the 69th floor and gives a great backdrop to the restaurant, they even have an iPad that you can use to change the colour on the top a building which is fun.

Equally great for a date, dinner with friends or drinks. Decent food, amazing views and ambiance. Loved the caramel souffle.

We made a reservation a month in advance and it was worth the wait. Very romantic atmosphere with fantastic views of Manhattan, queens n Brooklyn. The food was very good, as good as the views. Service was good, with the suggestions from the waiter spot on. Very broad wine menu, though the cost was on the high side. They serve a prix fix menu for $94, tip is included. Typically a prix fix menu is skimpy, but not here. The menu was a 3 course meal, and no one walked away hungry.

I don't go out to eat that often. That may be a weird statement from someone who has written 3000+ reviews on Yelp, but my wife recently grew this adorable parasite inside her stomach, and ever since it emerged it's essentially destroyed the lives we used to have. And nice restaurant meals were one of the first casualties. I'm telling you this because if you also don't get out enough, you want to make every meal count. You want to make it special when you finally escape from the tiny tyrant that runs your every waking moment. And Manhatta is special. This restaurant is gorgeous. The room, the bar, the ceilings, the waiting area...it is a ethereal place to dine, and would be even without the absolutely stunning view. You're looking out over the best city in the world, from a vantage point so high that you can watch a storm move over the city and past the bridges. The service is impeccable. It's the absolute epitome of Danny Meyer's ability to make every patron feel like an honored guest. The host asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, and upon hearing it was our anniversary, brought us to a corner table by the window where we were awed by the aforementioned view. The food is beautiful, and more importantly, delicious. The French Onion Burger manages to be unique and special in a city filled with decadent burgers all trying to outdo one another. The Oysters Rockefeller were actually perfect. The fish was excellent. And although we were too full for dessert, the truffles offered with a lovely anniversary message were the coup de grace. It's hard to imagine a better experience, and we will absolutely be back for another special occasion soon.

Came to catch up with a friend and had a amazing experience the staff where all very attentive and helpful (though a tiny bit disorganized). The food was amazing and i was not rushed though it (I’m a slow eater)i particularly like the steak and the sweetbreads with egg, the bread with accompanying condiments was amazing as well. All and all i spent four hours on dinner Ps. I also really like danny Meyers commitment to eliminate tipping it makes it easier for me to have more upfront pricing and for the server to get paid

With an expertly cultivated wine list (including a great selection of wine by the glass) and an always interesting menu, Manhatta is one of New York's most exciting dining locations. 60 floors high and with breathtaking views of the lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge the food is quite accomplished. In theory the menu leverages itself against dishes that, on occasion , might slightly fail to fully deliver. There is a pronounced preference for, fresh, seasonal and even raw ingredients over anything more obvious. The starters in particular are very much predicated on absolute freshness and preparation leaving hardly any fault tolerance for failure and customer satisfaction. This slight risk may explain the occasional bad review posted here. Hence when Manhatta is good its incredible. This being my third trip I can attest however to only very slight variances in excellence hence why I am giving it 5 stars. I have the service as being almost flawless on all 3 trips. A well oiled operation from front to back of house.

Found walking off one of the main roads in NYC, walked in, greeted by concierge where you can leave your bags and coat. Take the lift up, and you really are up high, beautiful views of parts of the City, even from just sitting at the bar. Drinks were so fun to watch being made and food was packed with flavour. I strongly suggest trying to book a space as if you walk in you’re likely to get s seat at the bar.

(Translated by Google) The view, the atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff are very good. However, for the price (although we are in New York) the dishes deserve to be a little more sought after and tasty. (Original) La vue, l'ambiance du restaurant et le personnel sont très bien. En revanche, pour le prix (bien que nous soyons à New York) les plats mériteraient d'être un peu plus recherchés et savoureux.

I celebrated an anniversary with my significant other here. The views are truly incredible, however I found the food and cocktails over priced and underwhelming. As long as you acknowledge you’re paying for the view and ambience rather than culinary magic, you’ll have a good time.

This is a wonderful place for weekend lunch on a special occasion! The service is spectacular and the food is even better. My boyfriend and I ordered the following: 1st course: - Baby Lettuces - boyfriend says, "best salad I've ever had" - Matzah Ball Soup - matzah balls were so soft and delicious! I had never had this soup before, so I don't have much to compare to, but I would highly recommend this. 2nd course: - Wagyu - beats any steakhouse steak we've had - Veal Loin - so tender and delicious. This was my first time trying veal, and I was not disappointed. The yellow sauce that came with it was amazing - we put it on both the veal and the wagyu. Note for those who don't like mushrooms: there are a lot, and I personally thought they smelled terrible. Save yourself the trouble and just ask your waiter to hold the mushrooms. 3rd course: - Chocolate Pecan Tarte - amazing!!! Seriously so delicious. - Apple Tarte Tatin - again, delicious. Obviously Manhatta is expensive, but it helps that this is a no tipping restaurant. If you're trying to justify it (especially if you're from out of town), I'll tell you this - the 86th floor in the Empire State Building costs roughly $40/person and doesn't include food...

Near work in an area sorely lacking in upscale, cool after work bars. Oddly, the bar is right up against the tremendous views of downtown so you might not get to see the views.

So the views are amazing but we came during restaurant week and felt a bit neglected by our server. Food was good but the views are what you're really paying for. Hopefully service can improve on attentiveness.

No words could be ever adequate for the experience that I had in this world-class restaurant. While getting your exceptional service in a eloborately decorated ambiance you will enjoy the beautiful scene of the Big Apple. Each course you will taste the absolute highest level of food in a well-prepared plate with the company of your wine picked from a great selection. It is a truly impeccable experince that you could ever imagine. Thank you for your genuine surprise that made our dinner beyond.
