They have terrible customer service. My mother has been calling to make an appointment and the receptionist is very badly educated. Whenever she asked her to find a representant that speaks spanish seen as my mother’s english is not the best, instead of getting the representant, the woman would just hang up the phone. She did this multiple times. Then my mother decided to put her husband on the phone so he can tell her in english. My stepfather asked her why she kept hanging up the phone on her instead of telling her they didnt have anybody who spoke spanish she just hung up the phone on him. I believe that nobody like that should work in customer service, and people like this will only bring the reputation of this hospital down. If this is how the customer service employees behave, I can only imagine the rest. This was today 1/14/18 and her name is pronounced (zay-na).

Had a 9:30 appointment with Dr. NAZIR a little over 3 hours later I complained of pains. (I had sharp pelvic and back pains also a sharp pain in my lower abdomen...I thought I was having a blood clot from my APS/hughes and the baby was dying) His receptionist did nothing but told me the long wait times are do to the care he provides his patients (clearly she should schedule the appointments accordingly then) after another 30 mintues of waiting I couldn't take the pain and left for JCMC. They saw me within a a few minutes of being there. I had no appointment with the er or anyone at JCMC and was taken in right away. The high risk drs in womens health at Newark Beth Isreal are the worste I have seen. So glade to be going aomeone else. Expect a minimal on a good day of 2 hours to wait past your appointment but close to 3 to 4 hours. Someone should investigate this hospital...I could have lost my baby by some miracle I didn't.

I had a nice experience in this hospital. Went to the Emergency Department and it did not took long for me to be attended to. Everything was well coordinated up to admission. Nurses were all good. I was admitted in Unit 23 and everyone was good to me especially the nurses.

I can't begin to say how life changing this place is!!!!!! The staff is beyond fantastic! Everyone from Drs nurses to the Janitor is upbeat happy and extremely positive! We struggled for over 3 years finding help for my son with Cronic pain amplification syndrome. The staff is amazing! In less than a week my son was doing amazing! After a month he is pain free and back to life as normal. My gratitude for this program is unbelievable! Forget Chops or Cleveland Hospital, NJ Children's Specialized Hospital is simply the best! God bless you all for giving my son his life back! They work miracles with real LOVE and we did not have to wait months!!!! I highly recommend this place!!!!!

Both my children were born here. My daughter was born with a murmur and they were great at getting answers right away and putting my mind at ease. My son was born at 33 weeks 4 days and had a 9 day NICU stay. They were amazing, from the nurses to the neonatologists. Thank you for caring for my babies!

Unfortunately the reason we came to the hospital was an emergency for my 2 year old. The Pediatric ER, ICU and pediatric departments are amazing. Every single individual I came across was thoughtful, empathetic, caring and took the time to help me and save my baby. I felt heard and I truly believe everyone cared so much.

my son had a same day surgery in this hospital and i couldn't thank enought all the staff there. they are very friendly and professional. the faciity is clean . Nurses are busy but you can tell they love what their doing and still try to put smile on each patient . Thank you guys!

I do not like the care they giving to my little brother, and the service is horrible.

I just had a very good experience with the assistant from the billing department, shannon was able to explain to me about 2 bills that i got from this hospital, and called my health insurance company for me to get the bills resolved.

I was born in this hospital and my mom always reminds me how amazing the staff was with her the entire stay. They were so sweet! What makes this hospital cool is that Queen Latifah and Whitney Houston were also born here! The staff is always ready to make you feel like home.

When being at a hospital the staff your surrounded by is everything! luckily this hospital has some of the nicest staff, especially the African American and Indian. The Spanish and White workers mostly played on their phones and made it known they "needed time off" and "was just here for pay day". Another negative experience was when complaing about my splitting headache and stumich ache while talking to a nurse she began to mock me and ask "well what do you want us to do for you?" she was extremely rude and was immediately reported in that same day. but otherwise amazing stay the food is okay.

Don’t get fool for the reviews , if you go and your child has a normal appointment than you are good, but if for some reason you are late, you couldn’t make it, or your child is sick forget about it they are not going to see you, the give you an appointment for the next 3-4 weeks in other words if your kid get sick don’t even call them, they never have appointment available, they can not see you my baby have a rash a least that’s what I think, I call explain that she doesn’t feel good, they told I’m two weeks, or take her to emergency you can even see her pain

This place is Amazing, the team is the most human and kind people ever! My son takes speech Therapy with Ms. Amy, she is so patient and creative, we love her. The Receptionists are very helpful and so friendly! Thank you so much for everyone who works with heart to Make it possible! 💓 Ps: They have park in lot and the hospital is so clean!

Terrible hospital! I brought my child to their psychiatrist unit for help, & staff refused to help my son! he showed all of the signs that he needed serious help with his mental health he even stated that he wanted to kill himself and the doc stated that he’s just having “behavioral issues” SMH please don’t ever bring your child here if you need support!

The wait time for a ER was ridiculous especially for children. There was almost an 8 hour wait, if people with didnt start complaing and cause a seen to the security there would have been a longer wait. Finally when seen my 4 year old son had a temp of 107 degree fever, congestion and weakness. The supervisor doctor told us that its a normal part for human body to try to fight the flu. There was no test done, no medication giving. Just check of ear and throat. Have a nice day after waiting for so long. Never going back to this Hospital again. They need to have priority of people especially children and better doctors with better attitude.

Went to urgent care for this hospital waited almost for 3 hours before Dr come to see and when asked what the reason for this long, they were justifying that sometimes it takes 4 hours not sure if they feel it as achievement.

I hate all jersey hospitals but this hospital the best i took my daughter and they was gentle with her and not rude with her 100% recommend to take yours kids here .

I went to the emergency room on February 4, 2024 with my 9-month-old baby. I live in New York so it was literally an emergency, and the truth is I was delighted with the treatment of the nurses, the doctors, the pediatrician, they were all very kind and treated everyone. my baby in the best way. The cleanliness of the room, everything really, I was very satisfied with the care, my baby was there for 6 days and every day the treatment of my baby and me was very good. If I could give more stars I would give more.
