Where do I even start? This historic hotel is a truly unique experience in old world charm and hospitality. Pictures don't do this place justice. You really have to see it and experience it for yourself..because it truly is an experience. As soon as you walk in the lobby you're magically transported back in time to 1927. Every aspect around you is antique..or looks antique. It's so hard to describe! I was only able to spend 24 hours here and let me tell you I wished it was longer. I was sad to leave! The staff that I met (Lily & Lilah) were so sweet and kind! Lilah checked me in and showed me the breakfast room upstairs with unlimited snacks, soups, chips, trail mix bars, granola bars, coffee and teas anytime of the day or night that you like. Wow! Awesome! Then she showed me to my room. I was blown away. I couldn't believe that I had the privilege to stay in such a beautiful, cozy, charming room as this! Beds were very comfortable, nice thread count sheets, thick comfortable comforters on the beds. Pillows nice and lofty, heavy. I'm guessing goose feather down? Extra blanket in the corner on the chair. Mini fridge in the corner. I stayed in room 213 by the way right next to the breakfast area. My room overlooked the front street where you could see the shops and people walking by. At night time the view was stunning. Had a great night's sleep. Ultra quiet in this hotel. When I laid down to sleep I had the biggest smile on my face. The next morning I had breakfast at 8am. Lily served breakfast: Scrambled eggs with cheese, English muffin, orange juice, sausage, hash browns, orange marmalade and French Toast. Lots of options to order from! Huge, amazing breakfast! Omg! You are treated like absolute royalty here. I felt like a queen. I have stayed in many many hotels in my lifetime..this is hands down my favorite...of all time. I stayed here on July 6th and will be returning either in the fall or right around Christmas when Plant Street is all lit up and decorated with 25,000 people in the street. Can't wait for my next visit back! I want the same room again! Try this place, you will not regret it!

After traveling through central Florida and staying at several Inns and B&Bs I have to give the Edgewater the gold medal. I need to nominate Lyla, the ultimate in host. She wears all hats and she wears them in perfection. The Inn is in perfect the location for walking the Main Street where shops and restaurants are. The inn shares building with a Thai restaurant, we didn’t get to go, but I did celebrate my birthday at the Chef’s table. It was a good experience. The memorabilia at the inn are amazing and best of all the level of cleanliness is above spectacular. I’m a clean freak and know for a fact that every inch is cleaned. Everything is placed with intention and it’s perfect. The dining area is absolutely lovely. The elevator ride very unique. The only thing I must say is being the age of the building, the shower was a big deal. Water pressure was non existent and the hot and cold water kept getting freezing and burning. Do not take a lot of toiletries since there’s no where to put it. I will certainly be back Loved it..

We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary at this most delightful. Hotel! From the moment we walked in the door we were mesmerized by the authenticity of the atmosphere and surroundings! It was very clean and comfortable and the staff were outstanding. The breakfast and that unusual dining area completed the package of a superb get-away!

A gem in Winter Garden. Beautiful historic hotel conveniently located near shopping and dining. Plenty of on site and nearby parking. Friendly and accommodating staff. Clean spacious and well appointed rooms. We were in town for a concert and booked a two bedroom suite with shared bathroom. Included homemade to order breakfast was amazing. Plus snacks and beverages available around the clock. I highly recommend this place if you’re ever in the Orlando area.

We go to the Chef’s Table at the Edgewater. Love the food weather it’s the specialty menu or the quick tapas style sharing plates. Quality is excellent and great value. The staff are very knowledgeable and personable.

Cute rustic place in the heart of downtown Winter Garden. We had friends choose to stay here while visiting an event scheduled on the same street and they liked it. It is next door to the Thai restaurant and there is a door connecting from the hotel to the restaurant.

Well appointed historical bed and breakfast. Lots of charm. Great location for walkability and riding the Orange Trail. The best breakfast experience you'll find. The staff are friendly, pleasant, and professional. Room was comfortable, but if you enjoy a hot shower with good water pressure, you may want to look elsewhere. Old building with old plumbing!

We really loved our 5-night stay here with our family of 5. We have 3 small children and they were very accommodating. They set up a pack n play in our adjoining room. Katie was also so great serving us breakfast every morning. We loved having a common room/kitchen that we could use at other times of the day. Having a sink, microwave, and some snacks available were game changers for our family, making this a much better option than a regular hotel. The bed was comfy, the towels were nice and soft (unlike most hotels that have scratchy bleached towels), our room was lovely, the decor is so unique and fun, and winter garden is the most adorable little town to walk around in. Such a special place, definitely recommend!

Amazing 1926 B&B style hotel in the heart of lovely Winter Garden. Service is great (personnel have special attachment to the property). Breakfast great too. Also good for cycling on West Orange Trail and Coast to Coast

I genuinely think the only thing I would change is all the smelly plug ins. My allergies are sensitive. That aside, everything else was great. The staff. The breakfast service. The rooms were neat also.

This is a rare spot! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is amazing. It's like walking into a 1940s hotel. It's in a great location!

The great B&Bs of the past are long but gone in this age of hiltons and marriotts. That said, The Edgewater Hotel is a great place to stay in the style of a B&B. Tobus, it was like staying at our grandparents' house. A few creaks in the floors, a loose doorknob, or two and charming. The staglff is friendly and helpful, and you can't beat the location if you want to see all that Plant Street has to offer for bars and restaurants. Bring your bikes as they are basically right on the bike trail. Breakfast was great and cooked to order. Snacks and beverages are available 24 hours a day as well.

This was a wonderful historic location. The staff that I interacted with were very friendly and the breakfast included in the stay was better than any hotel I've been in. It truly felt like a restaurant. On top of this the whole place was very clean and well taken care of. All of this at such an amazing price! Very happy and will recommend anyone going to this area to stay here.

A small boutique hotel containing rooms that are decorated old style with antique furniture. Check out the old telephone, typewriter and elevator. It's located in the heart of bustling downtown Winter Garden and surrounded by great restaurants, pizza shops, bars etc. You will love the vibe and feel of this place.

Beautiful historic hotel. A lot of charm here. The staff worker was nice - friendly, but not overly. Not a lot of warmth. I suspect because I booked through Expedia as this was mentioned 3 different times. A fan was provided when needed - the room was a bit warm. AC wasn't dropping the temp that much. Trying to lock our room door was a struggle. It took several attempts to close and lock the door each time. I didn't want to mention it because I already asked about the AC not working well and I think that irritated her, so figured to let it go. Didn't feel she was approachable to ask about the lock as well. It eventually did lock though. The breakfast food was amazing - one of the best Belgium waffles ever. Only stayed one night, but that was enough. Overall, it was enjoyable. Would recommend.

A gem in the heart of Winter Garden. This bed and breakfast style hotel was a wonderful surprise. While B&B possess lots of charm they aren't always the most comfortable. The Edgewater Inn has plenty of charm and comfort. The antiques are genuine but the mattresses are modern as well as the pillows which make for a great night's sleep (my husband is 6'5" and he fit comfortably) . Our room also had a couch. There are some fun details to be found on the balcony outside with outlets so I was able to work outside. The breakfast was simple but good and Lila is a great hostess (she checked us in and also served our breakfast the next day). Most importantly.. the coffee was hot and there were plenty of options. The rooms were very clean and smelled fresh. The location can't be beat as you can walk out the door to a plethora of restaurants and shops. We'll definitely be back when we visit Winter Garden again.

The Edge Water hotel in Winter Garden, Florida has such a cute well preserved vintage feel to it. You can tell that a lot of love and time has been put into keeping its historical value in such great condition. Even the location was perfect for our travel plans to Disney World. It made for a very short drive from the Hotel. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the perfect size for my family. I loved how they left prepared baskets with our towels and shower items for us to use. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating. They really made the atmosphere feel welcoming for us and were always so delightful to be around. Seriously such a great Bed & Breakfast. By far one of my favorites to stay at thus far. I will definitely be returning to stay here and will be recommending it to others.

We greatly enjoyed the rooms and area. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! My daughter loved her room and special pancakes every morning. The history of the hotel was shown in the decorative touches everywhere. We will be back next year and can't wait! Like stepping back in time with the check in desk and the original elevator.

Very historic and Victorian era place. If you like antiques and period decor you will absolutely adore this place. If you want the latest trend this is not for you.

Wonderful stay. Especially friendly service. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful & Unique room. Water pressure was low for the shower, but the rest of the positives more than made up for that. Enjoyed walking through downtown Winter Garden with the restaurants and shops.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. It's hands down THE cleanest place I've ever slept in, the room was spacious and comfortable, the air conditioning worked very well, the bathroom had a tub which was deep enough to have a nice hot bath, the staff is absolutely the most professional and courteous group I've ever encountered. I was told that the staff owns and operates the hotel, which to me made it even more special. It's their home as well, and that is the feeling you get when you step into the common/dining areas. It feels like you're in someone's home but in the 1920s/30s. There are complimentary snacks and beverages in the dining/kitchen area which are available 24/7 including a variety of coffees, teas, water, chips, yogurt, snack bars, candy, etc. The staff makes you feel SO welcome and as I watched them interact with various guests throughout my stay, they were consistently the same with every guest. All of the guests I saw looked very happy/relaxed. And that hot breakfast!!! Absolutely delicious, made to order, it is not a buffet style. You make a reservation as to what time you'd like to eat breakfast, then when you arrive to the dining area they have a menu which you order whatever you want from (all included). I had fluffy scrambled eggs, a generous portion of bacon and a huge Belgian waffle that was the best I've ever tasted. This is the place to go if you want to feel like you've stepped into another era. The location is awesome too, downtown Winter Garden is such a pretty little place to be. Close enough that the theme parks are a short drive away, but far enough outside of Orlando to escape the madness of the crowds. I'll definitely be going back here!

Great historic inn in the heart of an awesome downtown!! The rooms are so comfy with great atmosphere. We had a bedroom and a separate sitting room. Everything is so clean. The breakfast was outstanding!! There’s old fashioned cabinets and decor donuts such a nostalgic place to enjoy. Snacks are always available for guest day or night in the kitchen. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to stay again!!

This is a lovely old place right in the center of things in Winter Garden. Squeaky clean and the staff are very friendly. There bed was very comfortable. It was great to be able to walk to all the stores and restaurants, and rent a bike nearby. The hotel bit over decorated for my taste in terms of the amount of stuff crammed into spaces, but the historic charm is undeniable. The breakfasts are great (and GF friendly) and a fun place to meet other people visiting the area. Definitely splurge on the Chef's Table restaurant downstairs. Well worth it! If you are a very light sleeper, request a room at the back of the hotel as it is pretty noisy on the front side of the hotel. They seem to fire up the music by the fountain at 8:00 a.m. everyday regardless of what day it is. If you are sensitive to scents/added aromas this might not be the place for you. Smells very strongly of something like caramel throughout the hallways. It was a bit headache/congestion inducing for me, but if you're not sensitive to these things, no problem! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and recommend it.
