First, I ordered a steak and the waiter tried to upsell me another steak without being able to explain why it was better. I immediately felt like I was being swindled. Losing my trust in either choice I opted for a plate of meat and cheese, which was fine, not great or terrible. Later a cockroach came up to meet me on my table. It hid by the time the waiters came to see what was wrong, and even though someone at another table pointed it out too, they left, unconvinced anything was the matter. Finally the cockroach and waiter appeared at the same time and the waiter took care of it. I still paid full price with a tip.

The food was fine, nothing special... but things got weird when we paid. Two waiters were talking quietly to each other and glancing over at us, which was uncomfortable. Then, rather than give complete change and allow me to choose the amount I tip them, they deducted a 20% tip without asking and took away the receipt. Left a bad taste in my mouth, pun intended. Won’t come here again and wouldn’t recommend it based on those shady practices by the staff.

Awesome authentic food. One of the more expensive places in town though! Cool place

Excellent Steak house with the perfect beef. Many choice of cuts. Friendly and speedy service. Very good selection of red wines. For San Christobal it is expensive but definitely worth the money.

i ordered the humburger, the burger wasnt so good and the bread was awful. i didnt enjoy the meal.

Yeah not bad. It's not the right cut to be called Bife De Chorizo. It's just a rib eye steak. The ribeye steak I ordered was really fatty and under cooked and had to be sent back twice. The meat was tasty (in the end) but the chips were greasy and inedible. The chimi churi sauce was also just made with what tasted like 100% oregeno which is not how it's made. The flan casero was pretty good. Wouldn't go back there but not bad if you're fixing for a steak.

Underwhelming. Few people in restaurant and still, salad was not fresh but very expensive. The sausage was average and the rib eye tacos came out lukewarm and overcooked. I feel like i got ripped 📴

Staff was very nice and tried hard to speak some english to help us out while choosing our wine and steak. We chose a great bottle of Merlot for our meal and shared a steak which was cooked perfectly. A little more expensive for dinner but it was totally worth it!

This was our treat night out. Service was superb and friendly. We had the steak dinner for 2. So much meat!! We couldn't finish it all and took some home for steak sandwiches the next day. Steak from Argentina had a different flavour than home (Canada). It is so flavourful and tender, and melts in your mouth. They don't season the meat which allows the flavour to shine through (they do provide salsa, salt, and pepper if you wish to add seasoning). We were also impressed with how the vegetables and potatoes were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!

If you didn't know you were in San Cris you'd swear you were in Buenos Aires. Top-quality steaks, solid wine cellar with great wines from Mendoza, and excellent service. Went twice during a ten-day stay in San Cris--among the best steaks I've had in Mexico.

Food is awesome here. It's pricy compared to any other restaurant around San cristobal but the food feels worth the price.
