Of the three big grocery chains, we like Soriana the best. It has a large selection of products, both local and foreign, is well organized, and the prices seem about the same as the others. The store is clean and well lit. One thing to note in shopping in any of the stores here: products do not line up with the prices on the shelves. You have to check the product names against the product prices on the shelf tags. We have noticed this in all parts of Mexico. They fill the shelves with whatever products they have in stock, so the shelf prices below the products are usually wrong. There are no price stickers on products. Soriana does have a working price scanner at the back of the store, which we find to be a big help.

They also contacted the party who would deliver ( with me in the cab ) to my home ( making three separate calls with three different delivery prices - allowing me to choose. ) This was a BIG purchase for me. Wide selection. Better gardening and sports section than Chedraui. I go here to get away from the crowds at Chedraui and also the nicer layout. However, they sometimes introduce items we like and then discontinue them only weeks later.

I was surprised at how few people were at Soriano. Just a few blocks away Chedraui was hopping. Then I saw the prices. Everything was more expensive than Chedraui and there was very little available that I couldn't get someplace else for less. It was a very sterile experience. I was hoping to find a rare treat unavailable elsewhere...but I saw nothing. How do they stay open? Because I had business to do next door, I have been there 4x. Spent a grand total of 78 pesos on all four visits.

Some items can be more expensive than other shops, but Soriana is a nicer place, better customer service, better offers and better and more variety of brands. Meat, poultry and fish are a lot better than competitors.

this location of the group soriana is just not up to par... produce is awful. limited interesting items for sale. and at times there will be five different areas each playing music at a volume for a rock concert. just the worst. get it together soriana...

The products sold here are good. You find products that are exclusively for here. Although the wait for paying sometimes it too slow and long.
