Love the replica. We stopped by while visiting Odessa it was on my to do list. It's free and out in the open. I didn't get to see it while in London so this came close enough to it. Glad we stopped by.

Amazing climbing! Five star climbing. Maybe the best man made climbing feature in the nation. Hidden Texas gem!

This place was amazing!! It brought up so many thoughts and questions about the real Stonehenge. We visited at sunset and it was beautiful. Even our 11 year old son loved it. He walked and touched every stone I think, lol! He was amazed and asked so many questions and learned so much. The information placed there was very informative. We will definitely go back one day when we visit Midland again.

I loved it. Took photos here. It is amazing and it does make you wonder how they did it in England all those years ago. The only thing that is different is the way it sits. They had to line it up correctly here.

We stopped here on a family road trip and it was worth the stop. It's free and a sight to see! It's located in the University of Texas of the Permian Basin campus. There are no bathrooms around but it's just a great sight to see. There isn't much to do anywhere around Odessa so I don't recommend you go out of your way to visit, but if you're passing by, this is a must see. It's inspiring what some architecture students were able to accomplish. It also makes for some great pictures!πŸ˜‰

Having seen Stonehenge on tv, you lose the scope of just how large the structure is. I'm not a ancient alien conspiracy theorist, however, I find it hard to fathom ancient man that long ago having the tools and knowledge to construct something of that size. Anyway, it was definitely a cool stop while in Odessa.

This is the best replica of the Stonehenge by the engineering, art and geological details! Great work!

This was way better than what I expected. The sheer size of the stones were very impressive. There are a lot of facts spread out around the exhibit detailing the history of Stonehenge. It is located at the entrance of the University of Texas Permian Basin. Parking was super easy and was not a problem at all. We came on a Thursday and there was no one else visiting but the weekends could be different, especially in warmer months. A really neat place to visit!

During my chase for the Snowy Owl, I searched for Odessa Attractions. Who would have known there was a Stonehenge Replica??? Its in the University but easy to access by the public and absolutely free. We took some pictures and a bit of a history lesson. Super cool idea.

This is a quirky delightful surprise and is worth the 5min stop (at least). I love that someone woke up one day and decided the world needed another Stonehenge replica and made it happen. If you build it, they will come indeed.

Has trees... and it's paved which is nice. But, raising the rent without any amenities is ridiculous.

I ended up here when I got lost looking for the eclipse viewing party that the university was hosting (I drove in from Richardson, TX). I was able to nab one of the last parking spots next to the exhibit, so I just stuck around here. It's 70% to scale and made of local limestone. Even at 70% scale, it's still huge, and only adds to my appreciation for, and desire to see the real thing in England. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the area. As it was eclipse day when I visited, the place was packed with people. I'm sure it's not like this daily, lol.

One of the few touristy things to see in Odessa. It was interesting and I can imagine how much work it was for that class to recreate this Stonehenge replica. Free, with lots of parking available, some plaques with information about this recreation. Does not require a big time commitment to see.

If you visit Odessa this place should be a must to visit. Kids would enjoy climbing the huge stones. A nice place to take pictures with family and friends. It’s not the real Stonehenge but the feeling sure is.

Vacation Mode popped in this am! Stonehenge in Odessa, TX! Wow! It is an exact replica! I have been to the original in Salisbury, UK, so magnificent and spiritual but the circle where you walk to observe is 10 yards from the monument. Having a long lens helped! Here, you can walk among the stones as the Druids would, experiencing the encompassing towers, running your fingers over the soft textures and grooves in the stones, feeling a certain reverence and meditative quality in the design, a very new perspective! This is a "must see" if you are near Odessa, TX. University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

No amenities. I have someone's vehicle parked on my lot. Could not find any place else. The space is not paved. Rent is at least 300 more than other places. Probably why they have empty space. Street noise is loud.

A fun little place to take some unique pictures and ideally get a good idea of how massive Stonehenge is. Be careful when it's really hot outside though as the rocks get very hot.

I don't really know how or why you would rate a Stonehenge replica. It's a kind of cool and odd roadside attraction in the middle of oil country.

  • 5/5 Mary Ellen M. 3 years ago on Google
What a fun surprise in West Texas! My friends and I spent a fun-filled Saturday, chasing jackrabbits and and checking out the replica of Stonehenge.

  • 4/5 Jonathan W. 4 years ago on Google
It was fun to take the kids and share some international history using the replica. Really enjoyed it and hanging out at a great Campus.

  • 4/5 Adriana L A. 3 years ago on Google
Great for pictures! Small and simple, yet nice spot for a quick stop.

  • 4/5 Mik S. 3 years ago on Google
I've been to the real thing and that's better, of course, but at least you can touch the stones here, and you don't have to be a practising Pagan on a Wheel holiday to come close. It seems you don't even need to be a student, so it's worth breaking up a long drive along the interstate to see this.

  • 5/5 Jorge H. 3 years ago on Google
A great place to walk and clear ones mind. A place with great facts and knowledge for all.

  • 3/5 Debra D. 4 years ago on Google
Fun for a quick stop to stretch your legs but do not think it compares to the real thing

  • 4/5 Mark R. 4 years ago on Google
Not enough info boards. Uncertain if it is a full scale replica.

  • 5/5 Teresa P. 4 years ago on Google
Excellent! Glad we stopped. Such an interesting and imposing ...for such a small scale display. #InAwe #StoneHengeReplica #OdessaRocks

  • 4/5 Sam D. 4 years ago on Google
To some, it's a bunch of tall rocks. To many others, it's a fascinating monument, scaled down to fit on the University campus. To a plurality of the public, however, it's simply a Gym in PokΓ©mon Go (or a Portal in Ingress). Interesting, to be certain, but generally left alone, except for these and other proximal circumstances.

  • 5/5 Gricel B. 4 years ago on Google

  • 5/5 J P. 3 years ago on Google
Would have never imagined Stonehenge would be sitting in the middle of West Texas! What a treat! I don't know if we'll ever be able to see the original, so it was so nice to get an idea of what it looks like. It made us do a bunch of research about Stonehenge and why it's such a marvel.
