Really great light display! Be patient, lots of traffic. It's free, but please make a donation, even one dollar, will help them continue to do this!

This was BRIGHT and exciting. The wait to get in was roughly 20-25 minutes, but so worth the wait. The animated lights were sequenced perfectly. If you didn't get a chance to go this past Christmas season, I highly suggest driving through next season...and FYI: make sure everyone hits the bathroom 🚻 beforehand. It makes it a much better experience without those shaking legs, LOL! Enjoy!!

This water park is great for a couple of hours so the kids can splash on all the different little water fixtures. There’s only one main big water area which is the bucket. There’s some places with shade but most are always taken so I would go prepared. For a free water area it’s good enough.

This park was amazing...not only does it have fields to play ball on....it has a very nice jungle gym for the kids. Not to mention the Waterpark that dumps water out on the kids.

I'm only giving three for the Christmas light thing because we had to wait over an hour for not even a 5 min drive-through. Park itself looked fun, and we are excited to check it out.

Not all features were working, a few more benches would be nice in the shade.

  • 5/5 Pat A. 4 years ago on Google
Large beautiful park with a playground for the children, a sprayground that is open for the summer (closed now), a softball field, volleyball nets, tennis courts, and plenty of benches and picnic tables.

love riding the trials in comanche Park , where you share with hikers,Frisbee golfs, other bike riders. We all enjoy the wooded trails, and lots of wildlife and wildflowers. We have all enjo watching parkworkers assembling the Christmas lights display.

We went to see the Christmas lights. Even though it wasn't huge, each display got more ooooh's and aaaah's than the last. There were areas set up to take pics and/or videos with the kids and the kids at heart. It was a fun time for the whole family. Clean facilities and people working during Christmas display were very friendly and helpful. Security was present during event too.

My honest opinion. It is a sad ordeal. For Odessa to be booming and oil rich people would think Odessa would have more. I've been to other smaller cities and their Christmas lights were amazing. But I guess that's what get. Blessings

This has turned into an annual tradition for us, it is a great (and free) time everytime. I highly recommend picking carefully the times you plan on visiting or you may end up having to park deep in the neighborhood and spend a lot of time trying not to get run over. This year we went on New Years Eve, and it was empty. Best time we have had at the lights in awhile.

I only rate McKinney park because it's changed for the worse. When I was a kid, I lived close by and went there often. The Ector County Parks Department kept it and other parks top notch. No one dared trash it. And it was one of the few places that had trees and bushes running alongside Muskingum Draw. No doubt it flows underground unless it rains. Today it's trashed because people have gone from Trashy to Clean (Don't Mess With Texas) and back to Trashy. It has a lot to do with outsiders who trash the places they come from.

Really nice park fall festival going on there right now oct 21 2023 lots of attractions food trucks, entertainers, fire trucks, bounce houses, drive thru light show at night. Also during Christmas holidays the park is super lit up beautiful. Also has a splash water park and across the highway the park has Frisbee golf, walking trails, and a large lake with ducks too feed.

Small and some of the water features didn't work but still a good place to let the kids play and cool off. Porta potties were disgusting. The smell lingered on people after using them. Only had one table under the 5 giant umbrellas. One under a tree and two out in the sun. So take your own seating. Free to go though so that was nice.

Always have lots of fun here

  • 3/5 Frank A. 4 months ago on Google
I was only in one section. There is trash on the ground and in the water. Picnic tables are in the water as well. Visiting from Pennsylvania, the park has a lot of potential it just needs cleaned up.

Awesome light display. Drove almost 300 miles to take my family. Because El Paso Texas light display is lame. Smaller city did a way better job. 😪😪😪

The Christmas light display is beautiful! It is free, but donations are appreciated. I recommend if you are able, take the walking path. You can take more time to enjoy. The drive thru is great also, but you may have a longer wait time.
