Beautiful hidden winery. The quality of the wine is great, with a good variety on show. The tour was really interesting, and not just focused on wine making but on the incredible history of the property and the character who brought it back to life after it was abandoned in the 1920s. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the views are amazing, and they have a beautiful garden as well as the vines.

A beautiful winery above in the mountains of Lisbon is Casal Santa Maria. The young winemaker knows stories about ancestors and the history of the origins of the winery. The beautiful estate surrounded by vines makes the trip. Rose, white and of course red wines of the middle class are produced here.

We visited Casal Sta Maria today. From start to finish this was the highlight of our time in Portugal. Joao really looked after us. The tasting was superb and accompanied by the tapas, it was perfect! I recommend an afternoon here! -2023

Beautiful estate, but a very short tour of the property and only 3 tastings for 30 euros. They didn't even show us the barrel room. When a friend decided to buy a bottle of one of the wines not included, they charged 10 euros corkage on top of the bottle price and the 30 euros pp already paid. I toured the same winery over a year ago and we saw far more of the estate and tasted more wines.

Left with a couple bottles of wine 🍷 and absolutely loved the dogs! 🥰 Cute, family-owned, winery. It’s small enough that the wine tasting occurs in the owner’s home, but in a section that functions for business/tastings. Great views of the town and ocean from all the glass windows. The owners are friendly and welcoming. We took a tour with Carlos as our guide. I really enjoyed learning about the how this winery started. The husband and wife who started the winery are grandparents of the current owner and the founder was 96 years when he started the winery. He passed away in 2016 at the age of 106! I’d say it’s worth the visit!

I only went to the shop area but the place and the view are amazing from there! There is a very friendly and available staff and I do recommend their rosé wine, it's just amazing. I totally recommend it!!!

After making a reservation, we showed up on the wrong day which was completely my mistake. They were very kind and helped to make sure we were comfortable and still had a good experience. The grounds are nice and there is a beautiful view of the countryside and ocean. We do not eat meat and they were helpful to provide vegetarian options to have with our wine.
