During my recent visit to Serra da Estrela, I had the pleasure of exploring the Centro Comercial da Torre, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. This shopping center not only offers a wide variety of products but also provides a glimpse into the rich Portuguese culture and traditions. One of the highlights of my visit was discovering the selection of delicious cheeses, Presunto and the regueifa, a delectable pumpkin sweet bread. The shops in the center were manned by friendly and welcoming staff who allowed customers to sample different cheeses and chorizo before making a purchase. This hands-on experience added a personal touch to the shopping trip, making it all the more enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised by the kind gesture of offering ginja, a sweet Portuguese liquor, while making a purchase. This small touch of hospitality added to the overall positive impression I had of the shopping center and its commitment to providing a memorable customer experience. Centro Comercial da Torre takes pride in showcasing products that are 100% made in Portugal. The range of items available is truly impressive, catering to a variety of tastes and preferences. From magnets and slippers to huts and more, the shopping center offers a diverse selection of souvenirs and traditional Portuguese products. A noteworthy observation during my visit was the prevalence of cork-made items. Cork, being one of the most emblematic and typical Portuguese products, was featured extensively in the center's offerings. This focus on promoting local craftsmanship and traditional materials further enhanced the authenticity and uniqueness of the shopping experience.

Built to complete the mark of 2000 meters high, this facility stands in Serra da Estrela, the highest place in continental Portugal. It has a few market places, selling tradicional cheese, ham and licours of very good quality, together with clothes and souvenirs.

Iconic Portuguese landmark. as a natural wonder, I have to guive it 6 out of 5 stars. on the other hand... people make a mess of things. So, concerning the infrastructures, expect high prices for anything you buy here, and if you consider yhe cable seat experience, don't forget to bring money. No ATM for a considerable amount of Km.

Great views, high up 2000 metres, only a restaurant and a centre with lots of gift shops, also selling local cheeses and sausage etc. Everyone should go once.

I always go here to buy cheese and have a sandwich. I stop by Sérgio, which is my favourite cheese "adviser".
